I suffered a front tyre blowout on the M56 entry slip road last Thursday 30th April 2026. My call was answered immediately by call-handler Fiona who was both pleasant, efficient and reassuring. A reco... See more

Flat battery at home , technician got car started then phoned local battery centre to check they had one in stock ,even put the address in my sat nav and saved me £100 by telling me where to go rather than Halfords
Excellent service,
Britannia Rescue were brilliant!
The telephone operator assessed the problem (broken clutch) and ordered a Recovery on the spot.
The truck arrived within 25 minutes, which was amazing.
The whole process from call to garage forecourt took less than an hour = very efficient!
Excellent agent..kept me informed.
Breakdown team arrived quickly and were very helpful..sorting the problem and giving advice...all in all a very painless experience made so especially by the agent
Brittania rescue sent Andy to us, he was with us within 30 minutes and got the problem sorted very quickly. He was a really nice friendly confident guy, just what you need when you're stressing
Had a tyre puncture at home but was unable to change to the spare wheel. Completed the online puncture form and received a callback from Britannia Rescue within 5 minutes then a call from their recovery agents within a couple of minutes then arrival of the recovery mechanic some 20 minutes later. From completing the online form to mechanic on site was 30 minutes. Impressive
Call answered quickly. Agent efficient and professional. Clear advice and explanation of next steps. Britannia uses garages local to where the breakdown has occurred. Waited 30 mins for breakdown arrival. 20 mins later we were on our way. Excellent service all round!
Excellent service. Recovered from the M1 after an issue with the brakes. Both Britannia and the Recovery Company (Crouch) were excellent throughout.
The Britannia agent guided us through the process and kept in touch throughout, calling at 30 minute intervals until recovered and ensuring that Highways were also notified. The Recovery driver arrived in under an hour (ETA was 90 mins), loaded us rapidly and got us home in good time.
Can't fault the service in any way.
Acknowledged my request quickly, arrived reasonably quickly, dealt with problem (flat battery) very quickly.
Very professional response and help provided just when you most need it!
Cannot fault them from my recent experience.
Easy to report our breakdown, professional and polite staff who made a problem become an easy fix solution
Very fast response.
Fantastic company and I would highly recommend to join.
Mechanic couldn’t fix our car and said he would call a recovery truck but failed to do so. After another 3 hours we called to check progress and were told no truck had been called and we should have done it. We were told several times that the recovery truck was 40 minutes away but nothing arrived. Eventually we left the keys in a nearby cafe and managed to get a lift home. The car was eventually recovered 29 hours after our initial call. I don’t think I’m being unreasonable in thinking a 29 hour wait is completely unacceptable.
To give a bit of context, I left the RAC last December because they took 7 hours to recover my car, one hour of that with their recovery truck sat in front of me and the driver eating his lunch. They offered me half price membership to stay with them but even that didn’t seem worth it for a poor service and Britannia had lots of good reviews. Looking back on the RAC’s 7 hours makes it look like the good old days.
My electric VW Up suffered a jammed cable in the charge port when homecharging. (Unfortunately not an unusual event apparently) They tried to say the fault was the cable 'an accessory' (it was the car) and then that it wasn't a breakdown. (Car won't move). All other roadside assistance orgs have reports of them coming out to similar events.
I complained. They promised a call back from a manager within 5 days.
2 weeks later still waiting!
The service has exceeded my expectation for speed of answering the phone, arranging help, understanding my circumstances (I had a disabled husband with me when we broke down) and getting me and the vehicle home whilst making sure my husband could get a lift as he couldn't get in the truck
