I called to report a possible gas leak around 0730, by 0830 the engineer arrived. Explained everything, thoroughly checked whole area. Found the leak, inside manhole. Fixed the leak very quickly, but he was not happy with just fixing it. He called for assistance and an hour later another engineer came and completely remade the pipe work in the manhole. Perfect service throughout, thank you.

5 stars service from very reliable company.
I asked Cadent about upgrade of gas supply to higher capacity. Communication was good. It was easy to reach their customer support. Some things you can easily do online. When it comes to actual work - the schedule was agreed month in advance. Then everything went strictly according to the schedule.
Work included - digging trench about 20 m long, new pipe, new meter box and reinstating pavement blocks and concrete on the pavement.
Majority of the work was paid by Cadent as free will.
Cadent's engineer Tom called few days in advance. He was always helpful. All questions answered.
Big thank you to Tom and his team.
I wish other companies are on the same high level.

Their assessment guy was out in under 40 minutes he worked out the leak being from somewhere unusual. Because it was unusual he checked next door neighbours one of whom has a similar leak. The fixing team were out fast. They dealt with aging infrastructure quickly and efficiently and were friendly and polite.

you give a time when roadworks will finish then because your worker are so useless and slow your just add time what to what ever hold ups you want.i though seven trent were bad but beat then hands down by a mile.

Very quick response time. A friendly & efficient service. I'm an elderly lady & Dan was very good at explaining what the issue was & how they were going to fix it in easy to understand language. He even cleared & tidied up after the job was complete! Couldn't have been more helpful.

**EDIT: From their canned response they're not even reading reviews as I state in this I have ALREADY logged a complaint and they called me back today and were rude, incompetent and clearly hadn't read my complaint prior to calling... Utterly useless**
They came around advising they need to do some things for a new build development, I'd get an appointment through as someone would need to access my gas meter (the new development is several streets away). He said I'd get an appointment, I explained that was great for me as I work from home and everything I do is covered by DPA so I'd need to book half a day off. A few weeks later, still no appointment but 2 guys show up demanding access. I explained the previous conversation and asked if I could have an appointment to book the time off. One responded "well what do you want us to do?!?!" I explained again, stated I know they have a job to do, all I need is for them to work with me and give a morning or afternoon they're coming so I can book it off. One turned to the other and said "well what are we supposed to do???" The other shrugged and they started walking off. I called after them and reiterated about the appointment and I got ignored. The next day some came again, I explained all of the above and he asked if they could come in under 48 hours. I asked him how many work places does he know that allow leave to be booked in under 48 hours time... Explained my workplace is more lenient allowing 1 weeks notice but most places require 1 month. After a bit of back and forth and me basically stating "look, I'm trying to work with you here. I just need YOU to work with me, but at no point are you!" He finally gave me an appointment in exactly a week so I arranged it with work. The next day, someone comes AGAIN. Explained all of the above, the guy was, well... Yes... At this point I finally decided to just make a complaint as it was beyond a joke. Today, the day after I made the complaint stating all of this and that I just need them to actually work with me and stick to the agreed appointment for the following Monday, they called stating it was about my complaint. The woman basically demanded access tomorrow. I reiterated everything that was in my email (the above) she demanded the next day again. I stated she clearly had not read my email as I had explained they had agreed Monday with me and started to reiterate again all of the above. She hung up on me. From start to finish it's been shocking and I've had to stay late at work every single day so far since they've been here due to their escapades and having to deal with them. I have no idea if they're even going to come on the agreed Monday appointment, if I've wasted the time off, etc. It wouldn't even be as bad if they respected people's property, they don't. I could go on... In short, nothing short of a head ache and I'm disabled, luckily I'm not vulnerable and do not have mental health concerns as they would definitely exasperate mental health concerns/cause issues for people who are vulnerable and disabled!

They damaged the Internet cable and does not care even to say a sorry. They said we going gas pipes not internet. Always excuses. Rubbish company even not accepting responsibility. Let see what else the gonna be able to destroy.

Shaun Smith called today from Cadent gas, he was sealing in a gap in a new gas pipe that had been missed. Shaun was so lovely,polite and very professional. Can't fault Cadent gas whatsoever.

Very pleased with the service.
Our gas provider came out to install new meters and couldn’t seal them to the mains gas so had to call Cadent out, had to leave the doors open till he got here. He arrived very promptly and stripped the lot down, cleaned everything and put it back together, all fixed. He stayed with it a while with all the doors shut to make sure there were no traces, very conscientious.

Cadent replaced a gas meter, when filling in the hole on the exterior of the property they left a dent and a scratch resembling the back of a rake or other implement in the side of a vehicle then promptly left, when customer services was contacted they just denied it and told me to contact my insurance.
Total lack of respect for people's property by the excavations team members and you may as well bang your head up a brick wall rather than speak to customer services.
