I just bought some trousers from WIP . And they arrived when they said they would , however a 4 hour window for delivery without any update when driver is near is not ideal . WIP use ups and they have... See more

High Quality Clothing
Carhartt WIP consistently make excellent quality clothes. I'd say 80% of my wardrobe is made up of WIP products and they never disappoint, be it jackets, hoodies, shirts or trousers they are of great quality and workmanship. The only place they can falter a bit is in the sizing of T-shirts, they are almost always too long, the fit elsewhere is great however. Overall, Carhartt WIP make great clothes that are made to last, even down to the stitching. I can whole heartedly recommend Carhartt WIP to anyone. A few other things to note would be they do ship from Germany and there can be occasional delays, in addition the brick and mortar stores are really quite nice with a boutique like feel however the it can feel like sometimes the a few of the staff come across as a bit judgemental but perhaps that's just me.

Normally I like Carhartt clothing but I…
Normally I like Carhartt clothing but I have to leave a bad review for the caps. Been trying to buy upwards to ten caps this last year and have to return because of the way they were sown. Either the whole side of the cap is larger than the other side which is really weird. Or the brim is scewed, and I don't mean scewed a little bit. Something seem to be up with cap manufacturing this year, Carhartt is not the only brand.
Also by the way the caps is too large.

Stole my money
After weeks of not receiving my order, I contacted customer services only for them to inform me that it was actually cancelled by them for no reason. Seems like if I didn't contact them, I wouldn't have been informed. They told me I would receive a refund within 7 days, but this was over 2 weeks ago now and I'm yet to receive my money back.

Misleading advertising
Bought two Carhaart 'Duster' Hoodys for £65 each on sale. Unfortunately, during the first wear I spilt toothpaste on one hoody. It was removed immediately then washed as per the recommended settings on the label.
After washing, the two areas where toothpaste has touched the garment had gone visibly lighter and the hoody string had fallen out!
I got in touch with Carhaart and they advised me that they do not use dye fixing agents on their cotton items to be environmentally conscious, so the items will fade a lot quicker than if this was the case.
I'm dissapointed as Carhaart advertises itself as a hard-wearing workwear supplier, and a very expensive hoody has two noticiable stains after a few hours wear and a single wash.
Carhaart should make clear it doesn't use fixing agents on its 100 percent cotton clothing and that this means they will stain incredibly easily.
Edit -
In reply to your response. I did not rub an existing stain with toothpaste. I spilt toothpaste on the top the first time I wore it, I removed it with cold water. I then washed it in a washing machine immediately as per the instructions on the label and air dried it.
The dye has totally lifted where toothpaste made contact with the material. It was a non whitening toothpaste. I would expect a hoody that retails at £130 and is advertised as hard wearing to not look stained and worn after something like this.
I also understand that 'garments will wear eventually' due to the nature of the dyeing process - but please understand this was the first day I wore the hoody, I'd only taken it out the packaging that morning! I also note that you have not acknowledged the hoody string falling out after a single wash, as the ends of the string are not knotted!
In addition, I am aware that this is my issue as I spilt the toothpaste. But, I would have never bought such a delicate item had I been aware how easily it could be ruined by a day to day activity.

Shocking Customer Service.
I ordered a large item, but the product I was sent had a medium internal label, with a large tag.
I appreciate issues like this occur sometimes, so went to the Carhartt WIP customer service team to try and arrange a refund/return.
After a week of back and forth with the team, with very slow replies from them, we established that the item they had sent was missing an internal wash label/item code. Because of this they are now refusing to help further, and are actually accusing me of trying to send back a different item.
I am at my wits end trying to resolve this. I have purchased from Carhartt WIP directly before, and have purchased their items from other sellers many times without issue. But the level of service received this time is shocking.
If they have sent me a defected or none genuine item then this is on them, clearly this is an internal quality control issues. To treat a customer like this is a disgrace

Not genuine product
They sent the wrong sized item, the item did also not include the washing label. When sending multiple photos and emails (which is a very delayed response) I am now told the item is not genuine and I am being asked to send the ‘correct’ picture of the item! Which leads me to believe that the CS team believes I have sent pictures of something else?! I have sent the correct picture multiple times and have sent pictures of the box, label, tracking ID & I am still getting nowhere. I ordered direct from the website and I am now being told the item I have received is not genuine & not the correct size. I am now out of pocket and shocked as to how they can send me something that isn’t genuine?? AVOID. SCAM.

Very happy with my purchases
I ordered two shirts and was completely reliant on the sizing guide on the website as I hadn’t purchased or worn Carhartt button down shirts before. They were spot on! Couldn’t be happier! Thank you!

Love the quality of the clothing, made to last for years.
Love the quality of the clothing. Love your advertising. A size guide would be helpful as mostly the sizes are bigger than other stores. I like the work wear look, and Carhartt do the best work wear.

An expensive price for a cheap product
I recently purchased the OG Active Jacket - 12oz 'Maitland' Denim in Washed Black. This is their winter version.
First I want to say that aesthetically, the jacket is beautiful. It is a very faithful recreation of the J130 Active Jacket and I must commemorate that. This is where my praises stop.
As someone who owns the Carhartt Europe (not WIP) version of their own Active Jacket, the J130M, I must say that this Carhartt WIP feels cheap and like a cash grab. I understand that the purpose of WIP is mostly fast fashion, that's ok, but when you spend £220 on a jacket, expecting something a little better than what Carhartt Europe has for around £150, to find out that it sucks in comparison, kinda sucks! I understand that the J130 had only one interior pocket, but do you really think die-hard fans would've come knocking at your door if you included a secondary, zip pocket, as found on Carhartt Europe's one? I don't think so. It would've been nice. The pocket we do get isn't great either, it's a hook-and-loop velcro close pocket and you'd be lucky to get your phone and wallet in without making it uncomfortable to wear. Considering the fact that this jacket is very baggy, you'd think there should be a lot of room for pockets. The denim used for the exterior shell is also pretty poor, the exact same thickness you'd find on their 12oz jeans, it'll snag fairly easily and definitely shouldn't be worn as workwear. The interior lining appears to be entirely blanket lining at first which was a welcome surprise until I realised that the arms are nylon quilted, which defeats the purpose of the body having the blanket lining, no use calling this a 'winter' jacket whenever my arms will be freezing! So to remind ourselves, so far we have learned that this is nothing more than a fashion piece, which is worse than the jacket they tried to recreate, but also worse than the jacket sold by Carhartt Europe but significantly more expensive, but this isn't the end of my review and experience!
I reached out a little while after purchase, initially just to provide some solid feedback and pointers on how I think that the jacket could be improved so that all customers are happy. All around improvements. I was greeted with a very copy-paste feeling email asking for photos of the "defect" that I had apparently claimed I had?? I replied back basically just saying that they hadn't actually read what I wrote and that I was just wanting to leave some feedback. The next response I got was again very copy-paste, basically just describing core features of the jacket I just bought, thanks, I know. I was trying to tell you how it could be improved? Very confusing stuff. The last time I tried to contact Carhartt WIP was today actually, as I was wanting to return my product only to find that for some reason I was met with a page saying "Nothing in this order 720**** can be returned." Why? I don't know! It's within the 60 days, nobody has inspected it, the tags are still there and so is the original box! I didn't purchase this as part of a sale event either, so I really am left dumbfounded. How can their policy not apply to me? In fact, I'm left with a product I don't like, a pretty poor taste left in my mouth from a customer service team which doesn't seem to want to help or listen, but instead follow a script, and £220 less in my pocket that could've been spent better elsewhere.
I highly doubt I will ever be back and will be sticking with Carhartt Europe, this is upsetting as I really wanted to like Carhartt WIP. I also wanted to like my jacket, I also wanted to get my money back after realising I, in fact, don't like my jacket at all! But sure.
I really hope that I can come to a solution that's better than trying to desperately sell this on Depop/Vinted for a fraction of the price. I'm beyond disappointed Carhartt WIP.

No problems
No problems. Carhartt is my favourite brand. Wish they gave me freebie’s.
I can’t always afford to buy stuff I want.
Replacement Update
Thank you Carhartt for replacing my rucksack when the strap broke. Much appreciated.

Amazing customer service
Got some dungarees/ overalls as a gift and the clip/ buckle thing that connects the strap snapped off for no reason after wearing them over a few weeks. I didn’t have the receipt from the buyer. It’s difficult to find this style of clip online (since found similar on Amazon), and I was stressing that I might not find a replacement that matches. I emailed WIP. They responded within a couple of days, saying they’d try and source replacements. Replied again a couple of days later after arranging to send some from Germany. These arrived today (two sets) and a couple of random Carhartt stickers). These were easy to fix using pliers to loosen the fastening at the bottom, then reattaching with pliers and using a hammer to lightly hammer the fastening shut. No sewing required and now I can wear my dungarees again! I practically live in dungarees and since receiving these as a gift, they’ve been my favourite pair.
Fabulous customer service. Usually the clothes are hardwearing and don’t have issues like this, but stuff happens and was pleased to get this sorted very quickly, and be back in my favourite dungarees. And at least I have a spare clip/ buckle just in case.
Being able to fix the issue easily rather than what many companies would do and send a complete replacement pair of dungarees then the original ends up in landfill, is much more sustainable.
Will definitely be investing in more from this brand, although I am already a regular buyer of Carhartt (just not of WIP yet). Great quality, hardwearing and if something goes wrong, the customer service is awesome.
Thanks for making a dungaree wearer very happy.

Dishonest money grabbing company
Dishonest money grabbing company
On June 20th I bought 300 pounds worth of clothing from their latest sale. I paid for home delivery because I was not able to drive to the closest town and I live in the countryside. I was waiting and waiting until it felt too long of a wait so I checked the track of my delivery from UPS. On the system it said that the items could not be delivered and they were redirected to a collection point in town. No reason was given for not being able to deliver to my home address and most importantly no email or message was sent to me to make me aware of the change. I discovered it by checking the track information.
Contacted costumer service and was told that I now had to either go and collect the items or wait for the maximum time allowed for the item to be collected and then wait until the items where delivered back to the warehouse before I could have my money back. The items arrived back to the warehouse on July 12th. In the meantime I opened a case with paypal as I never even saw the items but after three weeks I was still 300 pounds shorts because of their negligence.
At this point is when costumer service was at the peak of their dishonesty by blackmailing me to close the case if I wanted the refund and this is the email I received word by word:
“Hello,
Once a claim is open with Paypal, we are unable to refund, if the claim is still open.
As soon as the claim on Paypal is closed, you will get your refund.
If you need any more information, please fell free to let us know.
Best regards,
Maddy”
So I send them the guideline from PayPal which says to never close a dispute or a claim until you have the money back in your PayPal account. Following that last email they agreed to issue a refund and yet today I still haven’t received any money as apparently it will take up to 7 days for the money to get into my account. Over a month since I paid and btw the claim is still open. What a shame as this was one of my favourite clothes brand and I have bought so much from them over the years. I was expecting a honest and prompt resolution to their mistakes.
