Cirque have lost their way.
Our family watched the “ Film “ directly from their website, so as to gain insight about the characters! What a complete waste of time, effort, and money. The folks who thought they could tell a story or enlighten you as to what is going on need to be replaced. Let’s recap, it looks like a woman goes to work in a tall building. A bunch of folks are gathered in a large office area, one of them standing close to what we might assume is her boss is wearing a VR headset. Next she’s leaving with a box in a snow filled parking lot and heading to her car. We assume she’s been fired ? She drives … arrives somewhere? Hallucinates a moose/cariboo… the. She’s on a train.. and some random guy with large decorative earrings sits next to her, despite ample seating. He whispers something in her ear..then we are in a tropical location, The woman has a man with her.. some sunset waterfall beautiful location montage imagery. With no story based in any reality I’m able to comprehend. It explains nothing and is not cohesive at all. Enough of that waste of my time.
The kids couldn’t make any sense of it ( ages 7 and 11 ) However off to the show we go. As soon as we arrive at the big top area I can see things have changed. Usually the spot where you can gather to take a photograph with the big top in the background and some type of colorful circus promotion material was at once a disappointment. Clearly the backdrop was nothing more than red material plasterd with “ Sun Life “ insurance promoters and “ Cirque “ advertising/logo. The two main characters images where completely out of frame and not anywhere close to being connected to you the audience. Some red carpet and plastic green thin fronds meant to provide a jungle experience? Fail
The show lacked a cohesive experience. I’m afraid this show was more of an elaborate dance/art/multimedia attempt. The giant cube had no relevance, and took up all the space which might have been useful for set change etc. Where was the rain? The jungle ? I didn’t feel it or any connection. What I felt was that the theme was promoting digital art/virtual reality. Not what the circus is about. The performers themselves were of course excellent at what they do. I cannot fault them for the shows lack of creativity. Even the merchandise is now just barely mediocre.
I can’t even bother to write more about all of this. Don’t bother going, there have been much better shows. Whoever thought this show would provide a “ Circus Experience “ for family needs to step away from their computer screen and spend some time with kids !! THEY ARE THE FUTURE… and I can assure you this show wasn’t.
I’ve been to at least 6 different Cirque shows, and even worked backstage preparing for one of them. This was the worst show I’ve seen.
* 25 years in the motion picture industry, and I’ve been there and done that.
Cirque du Soliel a night to forget
Went to Cirque du Soliel last night, with 5 family members. An absolute waste of time and money. From the start it was clear this was a performance without atmosphere and finesse and filled with time wasting stupidity. How we were to have any chance of grasping
the concept when the entire performance was in Spanish I have no idea. If this is the quality of performance CdS have been reduced to it is time to reassess the future of the show here in Australia. The individual acrobats contortionists and rope gymnasts are exceptional howeve,r they are, at the end of the day circus performers that you wouldn't expect to pay$150+ to see without a great show to highlight their performances. Absolutely nothing positive to say, just glad it's over.
Attended CdS this afternoon in…Brisbane
Attended CdS this afternoon in Brisbane. Waste of time and money. Been to several CdS shows over the years and this one didn’t come close to how brilliant the shows used to be. The tickets themselves expensive which I’m happy to pay for if it’s a great experience which it wasn’t. Don’t get me wrong the performers are wonderful at what they do. To start with, No signage on the roads giving directions, the toilets built for midgets and not enough of them, very overpriced food & drinks, the seats where do I start. We asked to be moved as the man next to me took up his seat & half of mine and they wanted to charge us an extra $60. We almost just walked out as we were so crammed in. My whole body was rubbing up hard against the person sitting next to me & I couldn’t move my arms, im of average build. The show itself had some good moments but overall pretty lacklustre especially compared to previous years. We won’t be back which is sad as we used to enjoy CdS in the past hence the reason we have been 5 or 6 times in previous years
Worst show I have ever seen
Worst show I have ever seen! The acts were third rate and very boring. The clown took up about 25 mins of a show which only lasted about 1 hour and 25 mins. They had a 25 min interval in the middle of the show! The juggler was awful..dropped his juggle batons and then expected applause!! I paid $170 for my ticket..what a complete waste of money and my precious time. It is a total rip off..please people read my review, save your money..DON'T GO!!
Would rate 0 if I could
Luzia Brisbane Would rate 0 if I could. Worst show I’ve ever seen. Terrible seating, overpriced drinks. $159 a ticket - what a joke.
Luzia, no flow.
Saw Luzia in Perth. Disappointed, no flow, did not understand what it was supposed to be about.

1. During ' Luzia ' global tour, I Witness and I was Denied to an Available Ticket to a Cirque Du Soleil show while I was present at a local Cirque Du Soleil site. Directly Due to Cirque Du Soleil ' Senior Executive Management' Directing and Instructing their Local Show ' Management and Security Staff ' to Personally Prejudicially Stalk their Customers and Racially Profile which I personally Witnessed while I was attending a Show. Additionally, I had Previously complained about the Severe Incompetence and Lack of Leadership and Lack of Suitability in their respective roles of the following personnel. The following CIrque Du Soleil senior executives Hide behind their Titles which is typical of what people do whom deliberately avoid accountability and responsibility. ' Incompetence and Corruption ' Always pair go hand-in-hand in Any Public and Private organization with particular reference to the following personnel at Cirque Du Soleil whom Clearly and Obviously are Not the Right people in their Respective roles. Based on their instruction to local touring site staff ' Behaviour and Conduct ' towards me ' behind the scenes ' towards Unaware Loyal Customers whom attend their shows. The following personnel bring ' Cirque Du Soileil' and ' Quebec' and ' Canada' into Disrepute and Shame due to how they Treat their Customers (as Displayed by their Local Touring Show ' Concierge staff' and ' Security staff ' and most probably how they treat many other Loyal Customers. Whom will Discontinue to be Customers of ' Cirque Du Soleil' and ' Quebec' and ' Canada' no more.

2. The above personnel Inappropriately and Clearly displayed by trying to shift/deflect Blame by Not Exercising Any ' Leadership/Responsibility/Accountability' Attributes for their Respective roles. The Above personnel also lacked the Competence and lacked the Ability to Solve Problems in a Prompt timely manner when was initially raised with them on numerous multiple occasions. The above personnel Did and should Never Blame Customers for their ' Repeated internal Communication' issues within the Cirque Du Soleil company which has been occurring over Many Years. Above personnel also ' Insulted my Intelligence' with Offensive comments Towards myself by Deliberately Trying to Deflect Blame towards the Customers as the Cause ... when these Issues were Never Mine nor Any Customers' Fault at all. The above personnel also make ' Excuses ' only which is Not Good Enough that clearly Displays their very specific severe Lack of Leadership within their Respective roles. They also Deliberately ' Delay and Avoid ' as much as possible in Responding to Customers communication as long as possible and make it deliberately as Hard as Possible .... again to Deliberately Avoid all Accountability and Responsibility of the ' Cirque Du Soleoil ' company's Conduct and Directions to their Local Show Staff on how to Disrespectfully Behave towards their "Cirque Du Soleil" Customers.
3. During a Recent Show ' Luzia ' which is currently touring Globally .... I could Identify All the Security Staff in Uniform, All the Security Staff Under Cover Not in Uniform and All the Security Cameras which were All positioned to Directly Violate Any Customers 'privacy '.
4. I had previously never done any Wrong doing. However based on my Global Security ' 34 years ' background experience And expertise, I could Very Easily Identify ' All the Concierge staff ' and ' All the Security staff' were being Directed via their ' Ear Piece' communication. Also, on How they All were Starring At me ' At the Same time' which was way too Coincidental and definitely Not Subtle.
Great performance by each individual…
Great performance by each individual however it's not as good as it used to be. It's more kid friendly and not much adrenaline and skill.
Drinks were way over priced. $16 for a small glass of wine and the toilets were horrendous. Not an ideal location at the showgrounds.
I just saw Echo.. don't repeat my mistake!!!
I just saw Echo... the worst show ever! I mean, what were they thinking? To charge a huge amount of money to see people jumping on a bed ( a parallel level of effort ) and stacking boxes... what a joke... unfortunately the joke is on us because we went to see the show!
Perth. Boring and expensive
The show was boring, not worth the money. The filler between acts was no good, really dragging it out. Spent half the time watching people mop the floor. Respect to the performers but just wasn’t captivating. Best part about it was getting every green light on the way home
Lack lustre performance overall but some stars and a few moments shone brightly which salvaged the show
Overall - Very disappointing experience at Luzia. From parking nightmare and exorbitant cost of drinks etc to a lack lustre performance from the corps that was chaotic without any real flow or form. There were some golden moments reminiscent of the good old days of Cirque de Soleil but overall it left us feeling there was a great deal lacking. It didn’t move like it once did.. It was showy without the soul. There were wonderful stage works and the waterfall was in truth wonderful. The scene with the jaguar or leopard and the performer was almost singularly the most moving and beautiful performance. The corps work was mediocre but perhaps salvaged by some brilliant individual stars of the show. The main comedic aspect was wonderful but again from the corps just at times distracting, amateur and gratuitous. Overall 2 stars is all it deserves for the whole experience.
Adelaide show
Adelaide show. Parts were boring. Too the two women who were sitting behind us row G who talked all the way through, no one cares about your life, try shutting your mouth for 5 mins.
Not worth the money at all
Not worth the money at all, I wish I hadn’t wasted almost $200 on that weird uninteresting unimpressive shot show
Saw Mystere in Las Vegas great customer service!
Saw Mystere in Las Vegas. The show was stunning and it was my wife’s first time and she loved it. The story was great and the performance was incredible and awe inspiring. We ended up booking the wrong weeks show by mistake. But with the help of the wonderful Admiral from customer service he allowed us to secure a refund for the mistake booking and rebook the show for the correct night just hours before the show! I truly appreciated this level of attention and care to make our experience perfect. Will definitely attend again!
LUZIA Melbourne 2024
LUZIA Melbourne 2024 - Overpriced food and drinks. $16 Wine in tiny plastic cups and no hot drinks at all , no coffee nowhere!! A couple mentioned they spent the entire intermission time waiting to use toilet and then had to forgo it simply because there were simply not enough !!
Show was meh, obvious time-killers with no element of entertainment, too many clown acts wasting time ... many could have been a lot better esp when the clown kicked the ball between footballers, what non-sense!!
Random cactus walking around another obvious time filler . Pretty amateur , cant imagine we spent almost $1000 for our family of 4 for this !!
We love going out but this was crap . Save your time , money and enjoy your night dining out much better food and entertainment to be found in Melbourne suburbs !!
Good show but disappointed with cirque pricing.
Good show. I have seen several cirque’s, always good entertainment but I like the previous ones more than Bazaar. Was extremely disappointed in paying almost $14 ($13.70?) for 2 waters, total rip-off and not because I can’t afford going to cirque but I will not go again ( or take my grandkids) because I feel taken advantage of. No one should charge $14 for 2 waters.
OVO was very bad
OVO was very bad. Childish & boring we didn’t go back in for the second half
Disappointing
We were really excited to go to Cirque du soleil (Alegría show 2024 in Barcelona) because this circus is known as the best of the best. We are ourselves quite into flowarts and love this kind of art expression. Unfortunately the show was disappointing. In my opinion the acts were to short and not that big. Not many artists and the tent wasn't nicely decorated. The welcome at the entrance wasn't special/amounted to nothing. And most of all we payed 120 euro each for a ticket.... It looks like Cirque du Soleil is getting really commercial and I find it ridiculous that we have to pay that amount for a show less then 2 hours. Circus raluy was way better and that for 20 euro each. I do have to say that the costumes and some shows were looking really beautiful.
Ovo - Disappointing!
4 of us went to watch Ovo in Liverpool. I’ve been wanting to go and see one of their shows for so long so I was really looking forward to it as it was also my birthday. I walked out feeling extremely disappointed. The story was confusing and it was like watching an episode of the teletubbies! I was expecting to be wowed throughout but honestly I was bored. I kept waiting for the show to really kick in! When it finally got to a point of feeling like the show was starting, it ended!!
These are meant to be the world’s best but they really didn’t deliver on this one. It’s now put me off ever going to see any other shows.
If you’re thinking of going to Ovo I’d honestly say give it a miss and go to a different one in the hope that it’s better!
