Needed my son’s feet measured. Met by Jamie who could not have been more helpful, relaxed and knowledgeable. Really lovely chap. Mandy, his line manager, also represented the company very well. Good job, folks.
Misleading multi-buy math—shortchanged on returns!
Be very careful when returning items to Clarks if you bought them alongside a promotion. I purchased the ATL Trek shoes at full price (£69), alongside a completely separate "Buy 2 get 20% off" offer on other items.
When I went to return the full-price shoes, Clarks refused to refund the full £69. Customer service explicitly admitted in writing that their checkout software automatically "allocated" part of the multi-buy discount onto my non-qualifying, full-price item to bring its refund value down to £62.30.
By stripping the discount away from the qualifying promotional items and applying it to an excluded item, they are essentially inflating the prices of the items I kept and shortchanging me on my return. Customer service completely refuses to manually override this obvious system glitch. Shocking breach of transparent pricing and consumer rights. Will be escalating to an independent Ombudsman/ADR scheme. Avoid!

Poor quality and poor customer service.
Both pairs of school shoes I bought for my daughters at the start of this school year have already broken. One pair lasted Sept - Nov before the rubber sole almost completely detached. I called, sent photos etc and was given a refund.
The second pair made it to beginning of May so, by my calculation, worn only 3 days a week and with the various school hols, they lasted approx 80 days before the velcro stopped sticking so the shoes dont stay on her feet making them unwearable. I emailed on 11th May and have sent two follow up emails but have received absolutely no response at all. So not only are their products poor quality but so too is their customer service. Very disappointing. Unfortunately this will be the last time I purchase from Clarks.
....funny that, within an hour of me writing this review, I have received a response to my email and been sent a £20 voucher to use next time. Not massively helpful when I have already ordered a replacement from Startrite as I couldn't wait any longer & have lost faith in Clarks.

Fiona Jones at the Oswestry branch of Clark’s was amazing with my 3 year old son. She put him at ease and made shoe shopping fun - thank you

Angela D served me in Clark’s Belfast and was really warm and friendly, way above what was expected. Such a cheerful and helpful experience as a result
Extremely helpful and friendly service
Abi was so helpful in helping me choose which shoes would be better for my interview. Super friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Poor sales assistance
Gone are the days when you had experienced shop keepers that would check the fit and size a shoe for you. They just give your the shoe and disappear. Then come back and ask if you’re buying them.

Faulty Shoes/ Hazard
I have always bought my children's school shoes from Clarks, trusting their reputation for quality and durability. Never again.
I purchased a pair of Scala Tap shoes, and just over 6 months, the sole completely separated from the base, causing my daughter to trip and fall. Total sole delamination is a manufacturing adhesive failure, not standard wear and tear.
Despite the uppers being in great condition, the store only offered a insulting 15% discount on a new pair, forcing me to spend more money to replace their faulty product.
When I escalated the safety hazard to Customer Care, they completely ignored my points and shut the case down with a generic "we cannot assist further" copy-and-paste email.
I have since taken my business elsewhere and bought shoes from a competitor. Clarks used to stand for quality and customer care; now it seems they stand for poor manufacturing and lazy customer service. Disappointing is an understatement.

Great experience.
Gerry and the rest of the staff at the Grafton Street store in Dublin were very friendly, helpful and accommodating - wonderful customer service. Found some great shoes in my size that I love. Really good experience! Thank you.

I had a fantastic experience at Clarks in Forestside thanks to Tom, who served my twin sons so exceptionally well. He was incredibly patient, friendly, and charming throughout the whole visit, making the boys feel comfortable and excited while trying on their shoes. A real credit to the Clarks team at Forestside!
Trigenic 2 flex shoes - broke after wearing only 3 times
I bought the Trigenic 2 flex shoes in white from Clarks outlet in Street, at full price. I wore them 3 times and the suede leather part tore, and whilst I walked home it continued to tear along the length of the shoe whilst walking. I made a complaint through the Clarkes website 8 days ago and I have heard nothing. I included photos and proof of my purchase via my bank statement as I didn’t keep the till receipt. You just do not expect Clarkes shoes to break after wearing 3 times.

Great service from Saima K
Great service from Saima K! I was shopping for dress shoes for my son which is usually a struggle, but Saima was incredibly patient and helpful. She offered great advice and made the whole experience easier. We left with a pair my son was happy with. Highly recommend!
Just don't buy Clarks online
I tried to return some shoes as they came too big (although the size which i ordered was correct and same to other clark shoes which i already had). While trying to complete the returns procedure their system wouldn't go through so i contacted customer support. I was told that this service was not supported in my country (Cyprus) therefore i should set up an account myself with their courier service and arrange the pick-up for return, which i did. Their courier's charge was EUR398 for a box of shoes, which i was not going to pay. When I informed them, they advice i could return the shoes to their physical store in Nicosia. The store did not accept the return saying that they have nothing to do with the online store. I once again informed them asking for their consent to sent the package with another courier service, provided they'd cover the postage fee. They did not answer my email, neither any of the reminders that followed. I emailed the company again filing a new returns request only to find out that now they would not accept the return is it felt outside their returns period!!! I tried to explain that this was their fault and their response was to offered me a 15% on my next order!!!!! without a doubt the worst online experience.
