Dont use this lot

Dont use this lot. Claim to offer big money for phones to then claim there is a problem with it when they get it. I sent my phone in which was 100% working fine and in basically perfect nick.(phone case and glass screen cover ) They quoted me £167. When they emailed two days later they offered me £60, 75% less than offered due to LCD damage??? The screen is 100% perfect LCD wise and has had a tempered glass cover on it for it entire life. No cracks, etc. Obviously think they can tell you it has LCD damage or something they think you wouldnt recognise etc and you wont question it.

Best avoided

As others have recently noted this company unfortunately is a bit dodgy.
Sent my phone off and they reduced the amount quoted by about £100 due to a "raised screen" which wasn't an issue.
I then had to pay £5 to get my phone back - and when it was returned it was scratched in a way that wasn't previously and they had kept the protective case I had my phone in.
I sold it to another company who didn't identify the spurious "raised screen" and paid me £60 more than the revised offer from this company.
Best avoided as their business model seems to be to offer over-inflated quotes then use dodgy excuses to pay way under the market value in the hope most people won't be bothered to go though the hassle of paying for the phone to be returned to them!

Excellent correspondence. .

I was worried as I couldn't seem to track my phone via the Post Office tracking service. It didn't update throughout the return. However I had excellent correspondence with Tasha, who kept me informed of what to expect during the transaction. I received an email when they finally received the phone, and another email to say that the phone was being checked by the technician. I then received another email telling me that they thanked me for my business, and that the amount as promised would be paid by PayPal shortly afterwards. As with other reviews this didn't happen. So I sent another email to Tasha who sent her apologies and either offered me a bank transfer or a cheque, as they were having problems with PayPal. I asked for a cheque and received it the next day. I was very pleased with this service. So to summarise my experience, my only concerns were that I couldn't track my phone properly, and that they couldn't pay me with PayPal.
I would rate this experience as 8/10. I would consider using Click2Recycle again.

Went Back on Offer with Near Perfect Phone!

I sent my old Galaxy S6 smartphone off after being quoted £156 for it. I had been using this phone every day up until the point I sent it off so I know there was nothing wrong with it. There was not a single crack in the screen only light cosmetic wear to the corners of the case which is to be expected on a 2 year old phone. I then receive an email stating that due to LCD Burn Beyond Economical Repair, they are now going to offer me £20 for the phone or I can pay for them to send it back to me! I know for a fact there's nothing wrong with it, so now I've wasted £5 having them return it. I could sell a broken phone for more than £20 so what kind of mad business plan and terrible customer experience are they offering? Don't touch these guys with a barge pole!

A bit dodgy

I sent off my phone (which was in excellent condition) and had an email to say that the charging port was faulty and that the initial amount of £47 would be reduced to £13 or I needed to pay £5 to get the phone back. I knew that my charging port worked fine so I was not prepared to pay £5 to get it back. I got in touch (via the Chat function on the website) and asked if the phone could be rechecked. Within a few minutes the advisor said that a mistake had been made and I would be given the £47. To be fair, the cheque arrived soon after. This is why I gave 3 stars.

I wouldn't use this company again as I think they try their luck to get you to accept an inferior offer. This is no doubt how they make their money.

Also, take a look at the website - at first glance it looks professional, and then you realise that the company name is spelt incorrectly in the copyright information, in the tab in the browser, and in the terms & conditions page (e.g Click2reycle). Something dodgy about that if you ask me.

IT'S A SCAM!!!!!

My phone (samsung s6) was in very good condition when I sent it off. They offered me £154 after the received it they said the "LCD screen was beyond repair" which was a not the truth. The revised offer was £20. I rejected their offer and opted to get my phone back. I have to pay to get my phone back and they are not making it an easy process to get my phone back. DO NOT use this company. Hopefully I'll get my phone back.

Paid full amount quoted *after delay*

After sending my iPad to click2recycle using the packaging materials and freepost label, I was surprised it took 11 days (inc weekends) to receive payment. I had to email them for an update, but their reply was swift and I received payment the same day as I sent the message. I received the full amount that was originally quoted online, and I was paid via bank transfer. A fairly good experience, but it should be easier to track the whole process to ease concerns caused by any delays. I'm not entirely sure how long they had my iPad before the payment was processed.

Thieves!!!

Did not send the packaging promised but I packaged it myself to send. My phone was in pristine condition and fully working yet they paid me 20% less than agreed and then refused to engage with me. I am furious at their tactics and obvious deceit and strongly recommend that you do not use them.

Good service, recommended

There was a delay in payment (PayPal issue) hence the 4 stars rather than the five. Would still recommend as prepaid postage supplied & they were very apologetic about the payment delay.

I sent my iPhone 6 to click2recycle

I sent my iPhone 6 to click2recycle in good working order, my phone was like new. After hearing bad things about these kind of companies I took photos of every angle and the packaging for proof it was fine and paid myself for special delivery. After a few days of them having my phone I get a reduced price as my phone 'had a raised LCD screen' I disputed this and sent photographic proof this was not the case and even though this showed this their reply was 'well the phone is now damaged either accept the very low rate or pay for postage back' I opted to have phone posted back to me, on receipt of this the corner is now raised & it looks like the screen has had something taken to it to lift the screen up as it's now all scratched around the edges too. This is so unacceptable. At the time I asked them to send me photo proof of the damage which they wouldn't do. I'm now left with a phone that's not worth much anymore. AVOID USING THIS COMPANY.
