Horrible experience
Horrible tracking, late parcel, no communication, no updates regardless of express mail service.
Absolutely awful service 3 parcels in…
Absolutely awful service 3 parcels in past month have been delivered to Perth depot which is my destination and then we're rerouted to Melbourne. You can't complain because it's the same old story " we are really busy ,it's Christmas " that's not being too busy that's incompetence. Hire more staff at busy periods who know what they are doing. We are all busy working that's why we order online because we don't have time to go out shopping. You call ,email and they never have solutions
Disgraceful
Horrible
Horrible, wait Over 1 Month for an item.I come from Germany.
Doesn’t work to redirect some parcels
Doesn’t work to redirect some parcels, the help chat in app doesn’t work either
Guess I am going way against the stream…
Guess I am going way against the stream here! In over 10 years in a small coastal village off the main road, I have rarely had a bad experience. We do a lot of purchases on line and get regular deliveries during any week of the year. They turn up when promised, communication is very effective with the app and emailed comments. In the rare situation where I have an issue or question, I get a response quickly. So many be luck of the draw but very happy camper!
Delivery Delays
I have to concur with so many other reviews. Sending parcels is not cheap. Parcels sit at the depot for a week, well beyond the expected delivery date. They will not even invedtigate until almost a month after the expected delivery, even when you lodge a formal enquiry. How about just checking where the parcel is, and sending it on its way....
Two orders in the one truck
Two orders in the one truck, one delivered, one returned to the depot. You're a delivery company, if you can't do that employ more drivers, increase your prices, figure it out. What would happen if I told my boss I'm not doing the job, but I expect to be paid.

A national disgrace!
Non existent parcel delivry and lies from the delivery driver regarding "safe location" to leave parcel.

Customer Service Needs Improving
On Monday I received an email stating AP attempted delivery of an Amazon item and it was awaiting collection at my local post office. I was home at the time of the supposed attempted delivery.
It is strange the item was deemed unsafe to leave at my front door. AP has NEVER deemed an Amazon, Ali Express or Temu parcel unsafe to leave. They have NEVER deemed an eBay parcel, except those requiring Signature on Delivery, unsafe to leave. Items left on my doorstep include a CD player clearly marked as such and weighing less than 2kg and dozens of parcels small enough to put in a handbag. Yet AP deemed it unsafe to leave a 21kg bulky parcel which could only be stolen by a strong person with a car. I suspect the delivery person didn’t leave the parcel precisely because of its weight and size. It was simply too much effort.
I don’t drive so it was impossible for me to collect a 21kg parcel. I contacted AP Customer Service to try to arrange a re-delivery. CS said AP don’t do re-deliveries. The best they could offer was to request a re-delivery which is at the drivers’ discretion and can be refused … oh, and may take upwards of 5 business days to process. Courier companies routinely provide a re-delivery option but AP, the largest mail delivery service in Australia, apparently don’t.
I have read a lot of negative reviews about delivery issues. People who wait home specifically for deliveries which never arrive or, conversely, parcels dumped in unsafe places. Many say parcels were left in public areas outside boundaries and one said their parcel was left in a garbage bin. These problems arise because delivery people either have insufficient training or are lazy and careless. Either way it is unacceptable.
My criticism isn’t of Australia Post as a whole. The reason this is not a one-star review is because I am not rating them based on one transaction. As an amateur eBay seller and professional online shopaholic, I send and receive hundreds of parcels a year. The vast majority pass through Australia Post and problems are very rare. However, it is human nature that failures leave more of an impression than successes. How a company addresses and resolves problems can make all the difference.
It is a shame an otherwise reliable reputable company is let down by a minority of drivers and a lack of “service” in customer service. Other than complaints about pricing, the most consistent criticism of AP is about rogue delivery drivers. Of course, it’s difficult to regulate drivers out in the field but that’s why Customer Service is so important. Unfortunately, too many companies train Customer Service staff to adhere to rigid policies which leave no room for initiative or discretion.
These deficiencies undermine the good work in other areas of the business. The staff in my local post office, for example, are fantastic. They are friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. If I was rating AP on their efforts, it would be strictly 5-star.
There is a desperate need for businesses to change their approach to Customer Service. People who contact CS are usually already peeved so it is infuriating when there are a lot of platitudes and no resolutions. Australia Post is probably less affected by negative reviews than most businesses because there are so few viable alternatives. But a fresh approach to problem-solving would be beneficial to both customers and staff.
Parcel not delivered
I received a notification earlier stating that my parcel would arrive today. My partner was home all day with the front door open, and when I returned from work, I also waited near the front door with the door open. No delivery attempt was made at any point.
Around 6:40pm, I received another notification claiming that an “attempted delivery” was made and that no one was in attendance. This is incorrect, as someone was home the entire time and no driver came to the door. Additionally, no card was left, which would normally be provided when a delivery is missed.Sooo frustrating. They have ‘missed’ my house twice now.
Attempted delivery, lies.
Two people sitting at home waiting for a delivery. Driver literally takes a photo of the building intercom (doesn't ring it) and then leaves.
Attempted delivery, lies!

Order not delivered, unable to find out where to collect
Order not delivered, instructions to leave at door ignored, did not advise and unable to find out (by every known means of communication) where to collect it
What is the point of paying for delivery to the door by Australia Post?
One star is being generous
One star is being generous, my package coming from QLD to TASMANIA was sent to PERTH go figure.. Aus post = over priced and under performing.. not the first time this has happened either, they delivered another of my packages to the wrong address and then basically said ‘tough luck there’s nothing they can do about it’
Slowest parcel service
Two weeks from interstate? They really have become a non-event by not servicing the community that kept them going. They have the best network with the poorest track record and service, by far the slowest parcel service. Far too top heavy and out of their depth in parcels.
