Good service, poor line
Timothy was very helpful and resolved my issue (renewing my contact) quickly. Some negotiation was required to obtain a good deal but I am very happy with what was agreed. Unfortunately, the quality of the line was very poor and it was difficult to hear everything he said.

Tammie was super helpful in sorting out a situation, a bin lorry managed to snap our fibre cable going into our property. She managed to book an engineer in to visit the next day.

My contract was coming to an end
My contract was coming to an end, I called up and spoke to Lumie, who polite and helpful and saw to my needs and gave me a good deal, I didn't even need to haggle as I have done at my previous company. I decided to continue to stay with Community Fibre and take out a new contract.
Contract renewal
My contract was expiring so I called the client retention team. I spoke to Andy who was very friendly and helpful in identifying what the best package would be for me. Quick and efficient call = happy customer!

My internet connection went down one…
My internet connection went down one day and I submitted a request for customer service to respond within a couple of working days. But five days had passed and still no response, so I called Community fibre and after a few unsuccessful attempts, I got through and spoke to Janet explaning what had happened. No apology was given and she booked an engineer appointment, which was between 9-5pm on Tuesday 11th August. This was confirmed on a text and email.
But on the day, the engineer Jay didn't have the decency of letting me know of his arrival time with no acknowledgement or apology. When he arrived, in my opinion, Jay seemed like a new starter who barely made eye contact, or even communicated what his intentions were, to give us an indication of what he was doing after we gave him a brief explanation of the situation we had. He seemed nervous, inexperienced with no peoples' skills whatsoever. He had a carefree, cheap personality who worked at a snail's pace, whilst carrying out the work on the outside of the property. He said my drill bit isn't great, will you be able to drill the hole on the side wall? How can these individuals be commissioned by Community Fibre and call themselves engineers!!? After using poor technique with his ladder to position himself, he arranged the cables with difficulty from the telephone exchange pole to attach them on the side of our house. After he got the new fibre cable in place through our drilled hole, he did however restore our Internet connection. But he didn't secure the internal housing of the socket properly as there was movement. Even on the external wall, the black metal housing covering the insertion was attached the wrong way round which could let rain droplets get in from the top. He inserted a small brick chip into the opening. Pathetic!! He also left a few ties and wires outside the side of the house, thinking it's acceptable as there's house renovation work ongoing.
Usually a broadband engineer goes through a check list to ensure everything was done to a satisfactory standard. But Jay didn't do any of that and got me to sign the card to acknowledge by ticking all the boxes himself without my consent and any discussion. It sums him up as a person, as he was so eager to get away. Also considering the fact I was to pay an amount for this appalling service.
I've been a Community Fibre customer for over four years now, but this should be common practice to highlight an excellent service when things are rectified. Overall a poor customer service which I also initially experienced when I first joined Community Fibre. Unacceptable!

Penelope attended to my call and spent considerable time and effort to try and resolve the issue of telephone number porting.
Although the issue could not be resolved right away, she has escalated it to the relevant section and under taken to call back with feedback.
She was very through and professional in her dealing with the problem.
