We sent off our driving licences at the…

We sent off our driving licences at the beginning of July after moving to a new build property and we are still waiting to receive our updated licences with the new address on. We couldn't apply online as our new address wasn't appearing for us to select (even though it was on Royal Mail website). I have tried numerous times to contact the DVLA and at different times of the day but to no avail. I even tried first thing in the morning only to be told the lines were busy and then cut off!
I'm also waiting for my car registration document after you updated it with the wrong postcode. I sent this back weeks ago.
The service is absolutely shocking and given we could of faced a £1000 fine for not updating our details following the house move, where is your obligation to us in getting our licences and car documents back?!

Nobody answers the phone and it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak to someone in person. Nobody is responding to my emails either. WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!

Son has been waiting since may 2021 for first driving licence. We had returned all information requested such up to date photo and signatures only to receive a cheque yesterday in the post returning fee but with no explanation. Can’t talk to them by phone, emails go unanswered but did get through on we chat eventually only to be told application is closed but no reason why or any next steps. Don’t you think that it’s time to get a grip of this non existence service and start allowing people their rights to learn to drive, earn a living and try and get back to whatever the new normal is. They say there is a lack of drivers to deliver goods so why not get applications through in a timely manner. Is this just another example of state coercion and control.

The DVLA have once again proven it is not fit for purpose. Everyone with a grivience should write to your MP and get central government to intervene, otherwise they will once again getaway scott free. The people incharge need to face the music!

They lost my husband's identity …

They lost my husband's identity document and to give us the reference number so that we even search for it on royal mail is a problem. It's so unfair . I thought this country had people's best interest at heart. DVLA customer service is so incompetent . I wish the government can do something about it.

Misplaced my identity document

They are yet to return identity document and the only response I got was considering it's been more than 3 weeks they issued my licence, my identity document is most likely lost. Apart from the cost of having my ID replaced which is a lot, there is also a greater risk of identity theft if my ID makes it to the wrong hands. Also I currently cannot leave the UK until this ID is replaced and because of the backlog at home office due to Covid, I have no idea when it will be replaced. My life is more or less on hold as a result of this. So disappointed at this.

If I could give 0 stars I fully would

If I could give 0 stars I fully would, the dvla has me unleash my inner Karen. At first I had to wait over three months for my documents to be returned to me and when it was and I had noticed I made a mistake on The application I corrected it and returned it. It’s been three weeks now and I’m not going through this blood process again. I get that COVID has been a cataclysmic for all of us but at this point there’s a difference between being unable to and incompetence. I, like many others, need our documents for personal reasons. I’m about to miss my student finance deadline and if I do the hell i will wrought on the DVLA will be on a biblical scale. I will Karen the hell out of them

Helen Macadam Roderick and Julie Lennard useless DVLA

Helen Macadam Roderick DVLA is useless. Julie Lennard DLVA is totally useless. Julie has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DVLA since March 2018. Total disgrace. My saga goes on now coming up to 8 months and still no licence from them. Over 100 complaints by their e mail complaints system that you are lucky if it works it blocks you out if you try put in more than one and by e mail over 100 to Julie Lennard to her personal e mail. Complants by post and by phone AND ALL THE SAY THEY CANNOT FIND TOTAL JOKE. Been on the phone 50 minutes this morning to them again just to be told they can't find anything. Bounce my all over again and no one knows anything. Then when someone can find something they say yes they answered your complaints by saying we are sorry you did not get ther service you should have had. IS THIS A JOKE. SO THEY FOBBED ME OFF AGAIN NEVER ANSWERING ANY OF MY COMPLAINTS. THE WORST COMPANY ON THE FACE OF THIS PLANET. 8 MONTHS STILL NO LICENCE. THINK IT IS TIME JUST TO GIVE UP TOTAL I D I OT S USE L E SS DVLA as usual

Absolute sham of an organisation.

The online Sorn and transfer of ownership does not recognize the car I sold. Every bit of information needed is correct. I'm told 'Don't panic' on the help page, which means I'll never see the tax I'm owed ever again, just like the hundreds I'm owed from several years ago.
The funny thing is if you or I owed these imbeciles any money, and we didn't pay we'd end up in court. Oh, and a big thank you for the fine for my alleged untaxed vehicle, that was on my ZERO rated tax vehicle!!!

In any other walk of life these people wouldn't have a job, at the least. There should be a way of prosecuting these criminals, but being a government body that's never going to happen.

Gaining money or goods by deception is a crime.
CORRUPT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked my vehicle tax for when the…

I checked my vehicle tax for when the direct debit was due to find out my vehicle did not appear on the website I called DVLA. I was informed that my vehicle was shown has been scrapped. I asked who informed them of this as I am the registered keeper. They could not tell me. I asked when did the happen 2nd January 2019. I asked why did not inform me that the vehicle had been reported scraped. could not tell me.
I asked why they did not inform me my monthly direct debit Notification of Vehicle Tax DD Payment Schedule (Ref: 000000-000027-385564-001) had been stopped you guess it could not me.
I called them back again as I was livid as I had been driving a car for nearly 6 months with no road tax but I had full comprehensive insurance but I am unclear of where I would stand. I then was advised the vehicle had to be taken off the road for them to do a full investigation so therefore I did not inform them the vehicle was off road but I am being penalised for there incompetence.
I sent them numerous photographs to show the vehicle was in excellent condition. I also sent a copy of the MOT and insurance certificate. I also sent them a log book.
I copied in several ministers and my MP but I am totally shocked that this could happen.
People need to realise this is not an unknown occurrence as I spoke to 3 different persons at DVLA and none of them appears surprised.
I don't know when my car will be able to be driven as I have had to park it off road.
I have been told they have 20 days to sort out their mess.

Unable to deal with a cloned number plate

My car reg has been cloned and after 2 months of fines and stress, the DVLA have left me back at square one. Have sent letter and V5 to them to have a new registration, only to be told they have no evidence that my plate has been cloned and that there is nothing they can do. Well I have LOTS of evidence, which I will be sending the chief exec..... Utter incompetence of the highest order.

An expensive, costly look-alike company, that charges a large sum for (in my opinion) no good purpose.

You can use the official website without the added cost.
So why does this site exist ?
