Why is eBay so useless at protecting buyers? I was promised a refund by a lousy business named "Baksol Trusted Shop". Now they say they cannot find my order! This is obviously a scam but eBay is not... See more

avoid selling items on ebay
avoid selling items on ebay, i sold my north face jacket, when the buyer received it, he opened a return case straightaway, so within couple of days i received the parcel, i opened expecting my jacket back, i found the box full of cardboard paper, and ebay refunded him straighaway, when the package marked as returned as its tracked delivery, i chatted with them, but they didnt help me to get my money back, or my jacket back
Ordered a item and was charged twice
Ordered a item and was charged twice, once by a card that had expired!!
Requested a cancellation of one of the items with ebay and messaged the seller, all within 10 minutes of the order been placed.
3 days later both items are posted within request to cancel been totally ignored along with my messages to seller.
Contacted ebay and they could not be more helpful. They apologised and refunded 1 of the charges and promised to look into the matter.
Fast professional and helpful, well done ebay.
Most dissatisfied with my recent…
Most dissatisfied with my recent experience, been a ebay buyer for around 15 years, goods supplied did not match the description. Can't get anything outa ebay issue resolution centre other than an automated A.I. response saying no refund.
I guess this is where Ebay and I part ways as I will avoid using them from now on.
Using eBay for over a decade now, and it’s always been a smooth experience. No complications, no issues—just consistent, reliable service year after year
I’ve been using eBay since 2012 and have consistently had a positive experience. Everything has always run smoothly, and I’ve never encountered any issues. It’s been a reliable platform for both buying and selling over the years. Highly recommended!
The worst selling platform I have ever…
The worst selling platform I have ever used sold 70 items usually get paid two days after delivery now eBay’s holding funds for over a week and half even though the customer has left a positive review NEVER AGAIN HIGHLY DO NOT RECCOMEND USING THIS PLATFORM
Put items on an auction needed to…
Put items on an auction needed to change a couple of things so people could see exactly what they were getting couldn’t do it was advised by customer services to end the auction and re-do it with the correct info done that then eBay had only allowed 7.50 for postage although I had put different, the items weighed quite a lot so it would have cost me mega once again couldn’t edit spoke to customer services again and they said to end the auction as they couldn’t change the postage then they swiftly charged me 20 quid I will not sell anything else on there never total rip off.
Annoying Saturday Night Live advert
Havent ordered from Ebay in years. I definitely wont be after youtube insists on playing your annoying Saturday night Live advert every 5 minutes when im trying to catch up with football news. Its not brainwashing me to visit your platform. If anything its had the opposite effect. I will NEVER use Ebay now just on principle. Hope you go Bust
Unfair Buyer-Weighted Resolution Despite Accurate Listing and No Returns Policy
Why is a buyer allowed to return an item that is essentially new, with the size correctly stated, from a well-known brand (and therefore one whose sizing is widely understood), especially when it was clearly specified that I do not accept returns? The listing was accurate, clear, and transparent, yet this is being overridden purely by a subjective opinion formed after purchase.
I am not a business seller able to absorb repeated returns or manage constant back-and-forth shipping. I do not have the time or capacity to deal with buyers who overlook clearly provided details and then change their mind on a whim.
By siding with the buyer in this situation despite no fault in the listing, this resolution effectively shifts the burden of their mistake or change of preference onto the seller. It sets a concerning precedent where accuracy and transparency offer no protection, and responsibility is removed from the buyer even when the item fully matches the description provided.
eBay mistreats sellers, rewards fraudsters
I sell and buy on ebay- although the private and business sellers are brilliant and the items are top notch my experience as a seller has been awful. I consistently get good feedback and happy customers, but for many 1 in 5 sales now is INAD fraud. eBay used to be quite good at resolving it, paying out both parties after a declaration. However they decided to stop being good faith- i sold a laptop got it back part swapped and they left me high and dry. they suspended my account took my funds for the reason that "they never touched the item". they treat sellers with disrespect disregard and expect us to pay out fraudsters like we're amazon.
Hard work to get to speak to a human
Hard work to get to speak to a human. 10.40am and all you get is out of bussiness hours .
Ebay feedback
I purchased what was described as a New York cap, after receiving it saw it was a M Y cap (what ever that is) ive gave bad feedback and 2 days after the item is for sale again and feedback removed, ebay gives no answer to the reason they removed it so the seller can do it all over again great. So the buyer just has to like it or lump it, thanks ebay for the way decent buyers buy from your site and get treated like rubbish.
Ebay allows fraud
Ebay think it's fine for a seller to list a 20metre roll but only post one 1m long. Despite appealing they say the seller has not violated their policies. Also uninterested in section 23 Consumer Rights Act 2015, which allows me to request a 20m replacement instead of a refund. I'm sticking with Amazon who run a better support service.
Terrible selling experience
If I could give negative stars, I would. Tried to sell an item for the first time and was account restricted for no apparent reason. The customer service AI is a nightmare to interact with, and the agent was very unhelpful.
Payments out
Why make it difficult to find how to get my money out this should be somthing easy to do and not so hard to find howto do it!

Evri attempted delivery 4 times but not received - Parcelshop advised not recieved.
Contacted ebay each time.
Contacted Ebay to claim under Money back guantree but advised I need to wait 30 days
Tried selling a real Moncler t-shirt…
Tried selling a real Moncler t-shirt with attached photo of the QR tag and the number. Both checked out on Moncler website only to be told it’s a fake. If you scan the code on the photos it clearly says it’s real. Absolutely shocking, don’t sell anything on here and use Vinted.
eBay Took Fees, Froze My Money, Blocked Dispatch, Then Blamed Me — 13 Years of Selling Ignored
eBay Froze My Money for Over a Month, Blocked Dispatch, Ignored Every Appeal, and Destroyed a 13‑Year, 100% Feedback, Top Rated Seller Account — Without a Single Human Review
I’ve sold on eBay for 13 years.
100% positive feedback.
Top Rated Seller.
A spotless record built over a decade.
And eBay destroyed it in one month.
They froze every penny of my payouts, blocked me from dispatching orders, and then demanded “proof of delivery” for items I am not allowed to ship because of the restriction they imposed. I explained this repeatedly, in detail, and every single response was the same automated template. Not one human has reviewed the appeal.
This wasn’t a delay.
This was a full operational shutdown.
During this month‑long freeze:
eBay continued taking monthly fees while withholding all payouts
I was blocked from dispatching orders, causing INR cases and angry buyers
Negative feedback appeared for delays caused entirely by eBay’s system
My account metrics were damaged through no fault of my own
Trust & Safety ignored every explanation and sent the same copy‑paste script
A 13‑year, 100% feedback, Top Rated Seller account was effectively wiped out
eBay created the problem.
eBay prevented me from fixing it.
eBay blamed me for the consequences.
This is not a “seller issue”.
This is a system failure — a platform that has become so automated, so unresponsive, and so disconnected from reality that it cannot handle even the simplest real‑world scenario.
If this is how eBay treats long‑standing, 100% feedback, Top Rated Sellers, then every seller on the platform should be worried.
Update (Week 5):
It has now been over 5 weeks since eBay froze my payouts and blocked dispatch, and there is still no resolution, no human review, and the same automated template responses. The situation remains completely unchanged despite full compliance and repeated attempts to resolve it.
Zero
The listing tool on mobile is consistently problematic with technical errors, removing or adding numbers randomly when listing an item ie input the price £27 the amount then changes to £2.70 because of an error with the tech and lists at the stupidly low price, eBay then punishes the seller with a defect after cancelling the order so almost all future listings get zero views even with 100% positive seller feedback, low life organisation. The extortionate buyer protection fee just robs the seller of profit to line their own pockets, if the order goes well as described then the fee should be refunded to the seller not for ebay to keep for nothing.
Ebay Full of time Wasters
Ebay is full of time wasters that bid on items and win and then cancel and dont want to pay. Ebay does nothing to support sellers and constantly let this happen. Just had it happen again they bid within last five minutes and then an hour later cancels the winning bid.
Useless company
Useless company. Deliberately make it difficult so you cant contact them..
After 40 years selling they want to see my driving licence under a 4mb file, and then complain they cant read it.
I just wanted to change postage as I was going to d3liver it but nope that eas way too hard for ebay. Ill stick with amazon and cex. This is the end of ebay
