WATCH OUT! The Gear Hunter charges a restock fee of 15-20% for returns even if they are in the original packaging with the tags on. I ordered two sizes of a jacket so that I could get the right fit. I fully assumed that I would pay shipping to return the wrong size...HOW ELSE WOULD INTERNET ORDERING WORK? Gear Hunter's policy is to charge a restocking charge to the customer, so when neither jacket fit me correctly I was charged a $50 restocking fee on top of the $35 I spent to return the goods.
I fully understand that this is a small company and appreciate what they do, but if it costs $85 to try on clothing then they are a poor, poor, option.

Due to issues with the item’s provider the parka I ordered in February arrived in late August. So not off to a great start. The sizing runs a bit small. The same parka I ordered from Rothco was a 3x and the 5x I ordered from Gearhunter is only slightly larger. It fits more like a 3 1/2x. Customer service was prompt but not a huge amount of information. Just a lot of offers of refunds. Felt more automated than a real person.

End of a long search for a multi purpose coat. Had a M65 issue years ago and it really was great. Especially here in the south where 20's and 70's can happen the same week. Other products had a cheap feel and look. Not true thigh length. This coat is as close as possible to that original. Vendor shipped as ordered and on time.

Gear Hunter is a great store and they are very helpful and quick to ship. I will gladly buy from them again.

The size jacket I ordered wasn't in stock and they contacted me to make sure I was aware of the measurements (I was) and to see if there were any other options. I was willing to get the same jacket without the insulation, but again they didn't have it in my size. I opted to cancel the order and try again at a later date. They promptly refunded my money, and offered to email me when more were in stock, which I thought was great. The very next day I received an email that they had found the less insulated version in my size, that there was an inventory error (I've managed warehouses for 20 years so I know how that goes). I immediately ordered the coat, and in my haste I ordered the heavy version which was quite a bit more. They got back to me right away explaining what I did and refunded the difference immediately. I had a deadline for when I wanted the coat and they did everything in their power to make that happen. In summation they are an honest company with fair pricing (I shopped around a lot) excellent communication and customer service, and just some of the nicest people I've come in contact with virtually. Highly recommended and I will definitely shop there again soon.
