Slowest company ever to deliver

I ordered from a website and honestly would have ordered somewhere else if I could when I saw they use GLS to distribute their items.
Tracking information was not kept up to date and I’ve no clue a week later where my package is. Company website says I’ll receive my item in 4 to 5 working days- not when you give it to GLS! Puts me off ordering from companies if they use these. DPD are much more efficient.

GLS deliveries

GLS do not give any indication of arrival time on the day. If our gates are closed they leave the packages at the gate, can’t even get out of van to ring buzzer, which is annoying when heavy dog food bags being delivered. If gates are open they just leave in driveway. Tracking never works.
You also get so many emails before the delivery which has no need.
Personally I feel other courier companies are better

The worst courier company I have ever…

The worst courier company I have ever dealt with!!!!!

My parcel had to travel only around 90 km from Dublin to Carlow, yet more than a week later it still had not been delivered. A journey that takes approximately one and a half hours by car turned into an endless delivery nightmare.

The tracking information was unclear, the parcel was moved between depots, no confirmed delivery date was provided, and customer service promised to call me back but never did. I had to call repeatedly just to find out that the parcel was sitting in Portlaoise.

The shipment contained medical products, which made this delay even more unacceptable. Completely unreliable and unprofessional service. I would never choose GLS again and would not recommend them to anyone.

P.S. A parcel with no legs and no wheels could apparently have made the 90 km journey from Dublin to Carlow faster than GLS!!!!!!!!

The only reason that it was a 4 star…

The only reason that it was a 4 star and not a 5 was that it was to be delivered, which it was, on the day promised but...no delivery time..even an estimate would have helped, hanging around all day for a delivery in this weather..but 4 out of 5 ain't bad

5+ starts

When placing an online order the system somehow captured my very old address. I contacted GLS customer support to try to change the address even tho parcel was already out for delivery. Customer support agent, i think her name was Carolina, did her absolute best and she contacted the driver and stopped the parcel to being delivered to the incorrect address. 5+ starts for the amazing support! Thank you Carolina so much. You are the star
