Highly recommend Hello Neighbour

Moving our management to Hello Neighbour has been such a great move. We are overseas landlords and always struggled to get the service needed from the high street brands. Josh is a great agent: responsive, sensible and got a good balance between landlord and tenant needs. High recommend.

Hello Neighbour take away the stress…

Hello Neighbour take away the stress that can make being a Landlord difficult. They have just relet my apartment. The process was smooth and efficient and required very little input from me. I will continue to use their management service which has proved to be invaluable during my first letting experience. Any maintenance issues that have arisen over the past eighteen months have been dealt with efficiently and quickly; keeping both me and my tenant happy.

Exceptional Service with a Personal Touch at Highly Competitive Rates

I’ve been a landlord for over 25 years and have worked with many different agents and management companies during that time. None have come close to the personal and professional touch that Hello Neighbour provides.

They currently manage three of my properties, and the service is consistently outstanding. Communication is clear and timely, issues are handled with care, and I always feel that both my interests and those of my tenants are genuinely respected.

On top of this, their rates are highly competitive compared to traditional agents — offering incredible value without compromising on quality.

It’s rare to find a property management company that combines efficiency, affordability, and such a human, personable approach. I would not hesitate to recommend Hello Neighbour to any landlord looking for a reliable, modern, and truly customer-focused partner.

I have used Hello Neighbour for years.

I have used Hello Neighbour for a number of years now and struggle to understand why I did't use them sooner. Why did I pay the estate agents huge fees for a worse service!!?
Hello Neighbour have been great, they simply do what they promise, find vetted tenants and manage the property. Josh Michels is our property manager and he cannot be more helpful and is quick to jump on issues and has great knowledge of the industry to advise landlords. Thank you Josh, you've been awesome, they should clone you! :)

Great experience using Hello Neighbour

Great experience using Hello Neighbour. Was my first time renting out the apartment so having an experienced team to guide me through it all from legal requirements, contracts, proper vetting and credit checks was invaluable. Lauren guided my through the process every step of the way and made it a breeze.

Compared to the price of a traditional estate agent that often charges around 1 months rental, this was great value. On top of that a traditional estate agent often charges it again if the tenant renews in the future which is madness, considering they just update the lease.

The worst letting agency you could ever…

The worst letting agency you could ever find. When we moved in, they told us the property had been cleaned. But when we arrived, there were animal droppings (most likely rabbit) inside the house. The whole place was filthy. When we told them about this, they said it would take two weeks to send someone. So, in order not to live in the dirt, we cleaned the house ourselves.

We stayed for one year and then moved out. Out of basic decency, we had all the carpets professionally cleaned and wiped down everything as much as possible before leaving. A week after moving out, they emailed us claiming we left the property dirty and said they would deduct money from our deposit. Their reasons included things like bird droppings on the front door and dusty light fixtures. They are literally trying to scam us.

On top of that, we emailed them proof that we cleaned the house, and they acknowledged it, even telling us that it was fine if we left the house as it was. This issue was discussed 2–3 times, and each time they accepted it.

Especially (they wanted me to remove the name) — the most careless and unprofessional agent I have ever dealt with. She didn’t even bother to read the emails we sent. She was never helpful with anything.

For example, the dishwasher racks that needed replacing, or the fridge light that wasn’t working — and so many more issues I could list endlessly. They never provided any support.

And their call centre — nobody does their job. They just “take notes” and pass you around, but nobody ever calls you back.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

I understand your concerns regarding the cleanliness of the property at move-in and the communication you’ve received throughout the tenancy. While we do rely on external contractors and landlords for some services, we take all feedback seriously and we’re reviewing what went wrong here to avoid similar experiences in future.

In terms of your deposit, our property manager is currently working with the landlord to ensure any proposed deductions are measured and reasonable. Once you receive these, you will have the opportunity to respond with your own evidence, and we encourage dialogue between you and the landlord to reach a fair outcome.

If a resolution cannot be found, the MyDeposits scheme offers a free, impartial dispute resolution service. We fully abide by their decisions.

We know the end of a tenancy can be a stressful time, and we're committed to making the process as fair and transparent as possible. Thank you again for your feedback, it helps us improve the experience for all our tenants moving forward.

Tenant experience needs improvement

The landlord set up is good, people are helpful (when you can get hold of them). The tenant experience needs much improvement and Kudos to the team for getting in touch and for wanting to understand where the problem is and I’ve updated this review and rating as well to reflect this. One tenant tried for 5 days to make an offer, making multiple calls to the call centre to fix issues. Had five people with offers and every single one complained that they can't make the offer on the system, three managed to do it after much trouble . There are no user guides!. It beats the purpose if a tenant can't make an offer. Also I had the situation where the tenant says they have paid the holding deposit, have sent a screen shot, but the system says not paid two hours on. There is no guide or notification to the landlord to say if this is a timing issue or an error.

A phenomenal product and service.

This new service provider is very welcome and offers an excellent option for landlords to find tenants. I could advertise my property on 3 key platforms. I received interest from a frankly incredible 50+ parties from whom I chose an excellent tenant. Stand-out service from Javier. He is a fountain of knowledge at the end of the phone and a please to deal with. Thank you very much.

Genuinely impossible to get hold of

Genuinely impossible to get hold of - I am a landlord and setting up my tenants was smooth. Fast forward a year and I've chosen not to renew my tenancy, and the comms has been TERRIBLE. I call up, get passed around with promises someone will call me back (they never do). I have also emailed 4 times, no response. My account manager doesn't reply, the agents on the phones can't help and I am just totally frustrated. Warning, they might be great at the start when they take your money, but they are awful at communicating after that!

Avoid at All Costs – Utter Negligence and Disrespect in a Housing Crisis

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with this agency has been an absolute nightmare — deeply unprofessional, negligent, and completely lacking in basic human decency.

On 6 July 2025, I reported a leak in the bedroom. I followed up twice by email and called the maintenance company directly, but no one took it seriously. Then, on 19 July, the leak exploded across the flat, soaking the ceilings, dripping into light fixtures, and causing electrical hazards. My wife and our 9-month-old daughter had to evacuate for their safety.

We called their emergency number 6–7 times — no response. When we finally reached someone, they were rude, dismissive, and did nothing. We had no choice but to call the fire brigade, who came and shut off the electricity because the situation was so dangerous.

We were then left completely on our own. The leak continued for days, mould began forming everywhere, and the flat became uninhabitable. We had to pay for temporary accommodation, moving costs, transport, and lost food. I also missed a full week of work managing the chaos and trying to protect my family.

When we finally spoke to the property manager on 21 July, he downplayed the issue, claiming the flat would be fixed “in two weeks” and was “safe to stay in.” That’s completely false. The walls were stained yellow, mould was growing, and the flat was still leaking.

To make things worse, after all that, they had the nerve to demand the property be professionally cleaned before we left — even though it was still severely water-damaged. This is how they treat tenants with a baby in a health-threatening situation.

I used the helloneighbour 'full letting service' package and was assigned Isabella to manage the entire process.
Isabella was wonderful. She was professional, responsive very helpful, and gave good guidance and support, making the process run a lot smoother. Would highly recommend.
