Scammed into downloading this app when trying to pay for a parking ticket…
When trying to pay for a parking ticket this app appeared as result of my search using details written on the car park machine. I entered my payment details believing I was paying for parking and when I then used the service it gave me a map telling me I was in the car park! I’ve cancelled my ‘subscription’ which I was not aware I had signed up (thanks TrustPilot, I would not have known I had one if I hadn’t read reviews here). Just crossing my fingers that they don’t take any more money. It’s like those companies spoofing government sites, I feel scammed but fingers crossed I only lose a few £s.

Do not use. Read the other reviews. They take your money first £1 then two days later £24.90. Avoid at all costs. They say they have found your phone. Once money is paid all you get is a message 'waiting '. Then you can wait forever.........

Helpmobi phone scam
In a moment of panic when a friend said he had left his phone on the bus I too paid the £1.00 to help him trace it. So far unsuccessful with no contact from them and £24.90 taken from my account. When you pay the initial £1.00 you have no idea you are subscribing to a monthly payment. A total ripoff as others have said.
A lesson to read reviews before any financial trading.

Total rip off
Total rip off! My mobile went missing after a party at our house. Panicked as it is vital to have it all times, contact with my elderly frail mother in law. Payed the 90p, promise of tracking it down, didn’t hear anything. Next morning discovered £27 was taken from our bank account. Absolute disgrace! You can’t contact this company by e mail or phone doesn’t exist. We now have to wait to get our money back.My phone was returned the next morning, now it the stress dealing with these scammers!

Absolute scam. Avoid this service. It's not obvious that in using their mobile location service for £1 you are automatically subscribed into their annual service for £24.90 until you see the transaction appear on your bank / credit card statement. You get an email confirmation that you have paid your £1 but not that you are now subscribed to their service.

Absolute fraudsters, take money from your account each month when you use them and pay the £1 at the start to locate your phone. They subscribe you and take £29.90 without your consent . I made 2 payments before in knew what was going on (Jan-Feb2023). Do not use. This is a scam!

I'm so annoyed with this company I did use them to locate a phone once and had no idea I was being locked in to a monthly payment with seemingly no way of cancelling. After phoning my bank I managed to get a number to call which I did and their customer service was terrible they couldn't get me off the call quick enough and insisted it was my fault
I had thought i was paying £1 and thought nothing more of it until these recurring payments came up I had no way of identifying the company and therefore no way of cancelling. I had to ring the bank who provided a phone number and yes they cancelled 'my subscription' but they couldn't be more adamant it was my fault. If signing up to something you assume you would receive some notification to say that you had but nothing.

I too tried to locate a phone for…
I too tried to locate a phone for £1.00, but I noticed that after 72 hours they charge a recurring subscription to my credit card.
I cancelled my subscription 6 minutes after I had subscribed, and then called my bank to inform them what happened and what may happen in 3 days. The bank guy took a note of all this and will block any attempts to charge my credit card.
I also used helpmobi message service to inform them I had cancelled my subscription, informed my bank, and any further deductions from my account would fraudulent.
Lets see what happends next.
This site is a scam, they prey on the unwary not noticing that you have signed up to a subscription and if you dont check your CC statement line for line you may not notice it for several months.
Buyer Beware.
06/02/2022 Now the company HelpMobi has asked for further information or my review might be taken down. If you read above I am not sure what other infomation I can give. If you try to locate a phone for £1 just remember you have agreed that after 72 hours they can charge you a monthly recurring amount.
I cancelled my account after 6 mins and I wasnt charged any recurring amount. But be careful.
