I subscribed to pay £1 to trace my mobile. Subsequently they took £24.90 from my account. I have sent an email to them telling them I want my money back. This company appears to have done this to many people. I never got my money back and wonder how many others have been conned by them.

Disgusting company and every post says the same. My then girlfrind lost her phone in paris and I thought this was a good thing to try. The location given didn't help at all and then they have been taking £24.90 which I wasn't aware of - like everyone else it was a panic situation and this then went under the radar. I'm going to take this further no question....
6 months later and still no refund. As promised twice now

Scam, it will not help find a lost/stolen phone. They don't share the location with you unless permission is given on the phone itself. They then bill you £24.90 a few days later and also then monthly for a monthly subscription you haven't signed up for

Wish I’d read the other reviews
Stranger in the station said she’d lost her phone and could I use a service like this to find it. Was happy to pay £1 to try but it never worked. Then three days later they charged £25 to my card. I did get a refund after threatening to get visa involved. But this is just an exercise in harvesting card details and hoping people don’t notice IMHO

They are a complete scam , I was an idiot to use them said they could locate my phone for £1 and then deducted £24.50 saying I had signed up to a subscription which I was totally unaware of and this wasn’t made at all clear , complete rip off avoid . The location service does not work either it’s just a scam to prey on people who have lost there phone . Just got e-mail saying helpmobi wasnt to take my review down beware of this company ?

This company is absolutely diabolical please do not use them. It claims to locate your phone and takes £1 but does not provide the information. I have read that they also take unauthorized payments afterwards. I wish I'd read these reviews before I used them please don't be duped like I was.

Thought Id use this service and advertised as £1 trial and took card details . I paid by card .
Didn't receive confirmation email , couldn't log in so basically they scammed me.
I emailed them and surprisingly got a reply immediately. Of course any customer would think their service is brilliant as emails are replied very quickly. That's part of building trust . Yes only a £1 and if they do that to thousands of customers they are making money without giving the service and that's stealing .
As I don't trust the company I've cancelled my card with my bank and informed them of this issue..
l would say DO NOT subscribe !! Stay away . SCAMMERS .. THIEVES !!

Beware of the sting in the tail!
Paid £1 to track a phone SOUNDED LIKE a fantastic deal. I received a welcoming message which said something ‘thank you for your trust.’ I contacted them on the same day to enquire about the tracking. A few days later I got the sting in the tail - a charge of £24.90 for a monthly subscription they automatically put you on if you don’t cancel but there is no option to decline/select just the one-off tracking (why would I need a monthly sub for that?). Rude customer service though managed to get a confirmation to cancel. Will never use this service again!

Lost my mobile and used this company
Lost my mobile and used this company, found it using google in the end but did not worry about paying £1 to Helpmobi. Three days later they took a further £24.90. Apparently in the terms its free for 72 hour trial then £24.90 per month??? I phoned customer services, and was very insistent, and I have been promised refund within 7 days. Now have e-mail proof that subscription cancelled and refund activated.

I lost my phone from my pocket when out for a walk on holiday. I was unaware that with my Google account, I could have located my phone immediately and free of charge. However, I was unaware of this and borrowed a phone from a companion and went online to seek help to locate my lost phone. The Helpmobile site came up first and noted that they would locate a lost phone for £1.00. They gave me a site where my phone was supposed to be that was hundreds of miles away! I forgot about using this site in an emergency and I did not notice that for the following 5 months a debit of £29.90 for PXP*PXT (a deliberately innocuous name) for was taken from my credit card. When I eventually spotted it, I emailed Helpmobile for a refund and was given the following message
"When tracking the requested phone number on our website, you have also subscribed to our premium access. This offer includes a 72 hours trial period for 1.00£. After this period as shown and mentioned on our website our premium service is automatically charged as a monthly subscription for 29.90£. This subscription is automatically renewed at the end of your 3-day trial period.
Our offer was clearly stated throughout your journey on our website, our monthly subscription fee was explained in detail in our terms and conditions which you agreed to. Thereafter we regret to inform you that we are unable to honour your refund request."
This is a total fraud - who reads the small print in an emergency using someone else's phone? I am going to contact my credit card company to seek a refund off these scammers.

Total scam. Pay what you think is a one off £1 fee and they charge you a £25 monthly subscription unbeknownst to you. My bank refused the payment and has now blocked them from my account. My banks fraud department is looking into it. DO NOT USE!

I made one of payment £1 for a search which they refuse to give me detail of the find on 04/01/22. On the 07/01/22 I received a text from the bank saying an attend was made to draw £29.90. I phoned Helpmobi about it, telling me that I had set up an subscription which I did not at all and really pee of with them during my chat that I try to log on to their website, the password was rejected which they give me in the first place, so been scam by them. Don't use them they are a scam.
