Hostkey.com is almost scam
This company is almost scam. You are buying server. They have hidden KYC policy. Tey are asking customers to upload their documents and Selfie. If will not do after 30 days your account will be suspended as and if you paid to them for yearly to get cheaper price they will not refund also. )))))) Very stupid managment rules. Seems very crazy people there. Stay away from them. I used many hostings in last 17 years, non of them asked selfie or to upload document.

Avoid at all cost waste of money
I bought a vps server to create a vpn for myself but the IP provided was blacklisted asked them to change the IP or cancel the service as it was pointless they ignored and repeated the same sentence saying I need to cancel through the panel but it doesn't cancel the service as it only has 2 options. Ask for assistance or terminate when at end of billing cycle. Which I paid for 3 months but as it is no use and they don't want to change IP address. Would not recommend them at all.

After reviewing your case, we’d like to note that an IP address replacement was indeed offered, with a cost of $11.60 USD per change. This is a standard paid service, as all IPs are allocated from our data centers’ pools and require administrative processing.
Regarding the cancellation process, the “Immediate” cancellation option may not be available in certain cases, such as:
- Services including an OS or software license;
- Servers suspended due to violations;
- Custom or non-standard server configurations;
- Services with a prepayment term of 3 months or more, discounts, or other special arrangements.
In such situations, only cancellation at the end of the current billing period is available.
However, as part of our customer care policy, we’re ready to issue a refund for the unused period (excluding any discounts), in accordance with our refund policy. Our manager will reach out to you shortly to assist with the refund process and make sure everything is resolved smoothly.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Hidden OS restriction made service unusable; refund refused despite prompt cancellation
I purchased a new VPS from HOSTKEY intending to use a Windows evaluation. Only after spending hours trying to set it up did I learn they don’t allow Windows on VPS unless I rent their SPLA license. That limitation wasn’t clearly disclosed during checkout — it’s buried in their Usage Requirements. I immediately canceled.
Despite no Windows license being activated and their refund policy stating unused funds can be returned on request, support refused a refund and cited “policy.” I’m not asking them to refund any license fees (none were charged); I’m asking for a refund of a service I couldn’t use due to non‑conspicuous restrictions. This felt unfair and not customer‑centric. I’ve since moved to a provider that properly discloses OS rules before purchase and honors reasonable refunds. I cannot recommend HOSTKEY based on this experience.

If you can provide evidence of license authenticity, you’re welcome to use your own Windows installation. Please contact our support team, and we’ll gladly help you through the verification process.
