From a warm welcome at the door to a patient and informative demonstration of the chair we were interested in, Germaine, our Comfort Specialist excelled. We were given all the information we needed and sufficient time, under no sales pressure to decide on the right chair for our needs. Simply first class sales.

I was looked after by Kim from the Hedge End store. Very professional in helping me choose my ideal chair. Made sure it was the correct height etc and patiently helped me as I looked through all the leather swatches.

The sales lady who came to my grandfathers home was brilliant, as was the driver who brought the two chairs in. Communication was excellent from the first booking.

Today was delivery day. The delivery men came in, put the chair in place, rushed through the information for the handset, even when my grandfather (86) said he couldn’t see as he was sat far away, the man just said oh well there’s 4 buttons. We wernt asked if we were happy with the chair, or given the opportunity to report any faults. They asked for a signature but not explained what it was for and then left. The whole process was less than 10mins. I had to move the chair as it wasn’t left in a sensible position, something we were told would happen at the point of purchase. Maybe advise your delivery men to slow down and remember a lot of their customer base are elderly and need that little bit of extra time. After spending over £2000 I would have expected better service than I get at Lidl.

From selecting, ordering and delivery the service has been first class. The furniture arrived as promised and was quickly assembled by Andy and Wayne,full instructions were given by Andy.

So impressed with the expert advise and personal home visit. Having spoken on the phone and giving our requirements, a chair came for my wife to try and based on that we were advised on the size and type of chair for her. Based on their advise we ordered a chair which was exactly right for her

We went for HSL chairs because being elderly we find it hard to get out. From the initial phone call to the delivery of chairs, the service we have got has been very helpful and professional. We had a chair brought out to us to try which was brilliant for us and the home consultants were very polite and friendly. The customer service from HSL has been exceptional. We are very pleased with our new chairs, they have made life easier.

Usually when we go into a store we like to look around before being asked if we need help BUT this store is different and in a great way.

When you walk in this store it's an experience like no other. It was like clothes shopping but for a sofa, with a "personal assistant" (Maria, the Manager in this instance) who certainly knew what she was talking about, checking how you sit, where your head, shoulders and back are and where you feet sit when you lay back, it honestly was an amazing experience.

Please do not believe the persona of this store, it is NOT for the older generation only, it offers a personalised service which you do not get elsewhere, the sofas are beautifully made and with so many different materials to choose from you can sit with a coffee and biscuit whilst you make your choices or ask any questions you may have.

Maria, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you and sharing stories about fishing, thank you so much for your help.

Excellent service from Brian at Southampton branch

Kim in Southampton branch very helpful, but led to believe base of chairs easily removable as door to snug room narrow. When Edwin & Chris delivered chairs yesterday, they advised bases not removable and chairs had to be squeezed through with some effort with backs reclined. Looking forward now to enjoying chairs!

we received the information we required and had plenty of time to discuss our needs with friendly and helpful staff. We could try examples of the sofa we were considering. The whole experience was enjoyable and satisfactory.

We had a fantastic experience at the Hedge End store when buying a chair for our elderly mother. Germaine provided truly outstanding service—friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. She took the time to understand exactly what we needed and helped us find the perfect chair that offered both comfort and support.

The delivery was equally impressive. It arrived right on time, and the two gentlemen who brought the chair were super helpful—polite, efficient, and careful with both the item and our home. They made the whole process stress-free, which we really appreciated.

The design of the chairs needs to be examined. It appears little consideration has been given to disabled people using the chair. The pocket, for the controller, is too low and too close to the rear. There are no blind nipples on any of the control buttons. The hard floor feet are not fit for purpose, they slide the chair over the floor!!

Professional and efficient throughout. Took the time to fully understand my needs and requirements. The entire experience was smooth, seamless, and — above all — genuinely enjoyable.

Maria at Hedge End store made it an enjoyable experience. She was there to help and advise but not being “pushy” and she knows her stuff.
Maria’s colleagues were also very helpful.
Only downside with HSL … no 0% credit or any credit. Have to pay deposit then balance 2 to 3 weeks later.
Furniture, in leather, 10/12 weeks delivery and a delivery charge irrespective of how much is spent and paid up front.

HSL … need to look at payment options and delivery charges.
Although I would recommend HSL, Hedge End, Southampton.

Assistant was very good at explaining all aspects of the chair, and clear with her explanations.
