Do not buy. Quality terrible.

Do not buy. Quality terrible. Steer clear of Hunter if you want a pair of boots to last longer than 6 months. Production moved to China and quality is not what it used to be. Customer Service responsive, but policy on like for like replacements is rubbish. If they no longer sell the style you originally purchased they won't replace with the newer equivalent and expect you to cough up for the shortfall.

Poor Service Poor Quality China Made Product

Terrible response to faulty cracking, splitting £120 (6 month old Wellingtons). If anyone want help taking them to court via Small Claims I will assist for free. I am legally trained and have just issued a county court claim against this shambolic company. They are in breach of the sale of goods act - the products clearly have a manufacturing defect. Hunters customer support is embarrassing.

Not Great

Update I have now received a replacement pair of boots, thanks Hunter but not sure why it took so long, fingers crossed this pair last longer.

I really wish I had read all of these awful reviews before opting for Hunter boots, I thought I was purchasing a quality product from a quality brand but it turns out there is nothing quality about their products, customer service or warranty. They state that they have a 24 month warranty on their boots which is valid for purchases made directly from Hunter and their authorised stockists but when I contacted them about my faulty boots I was told to contact John Lewis where they were bought from I duly did this and was told from JL that their warranty is only for 12 months and that I should contact Hunter which once again I did they confirmed that there is a 24 month warranty and that I should contact JL, it would appear that neither supposedly reputable company wants to take responsibility for the faulty boots. Trading standards are my next step.

BUYER BEWARE !!!

Without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever seen...Don't ever buy these as a gift because they have a 30 day exchange policy that evidently is the "Gospel" to the companies customer service department. The only good news is that I will no longer need to spend hundreds of dollars on an inferior product for my family and friends as the word has gotten out ...

Bad quality and not customer service...do not buy these!

I had a pair of expensive hunter boots which cracked on one show after 6 months. They are sold with a 2 year warantee but good luck to anyone who wishes to use this. In fact good luck to anyone who wishes to contact hunter and requires a response. I have chased this for 6 months now....ive called, written to and emailed and they ignore me. My boots are not fit for anything but the bin!

I ordered a pair of Hunter Boots from…

I ordered a pair of Hunter Boots from Hunter, and paid extra shipping to have them next day ( I wanted them for a trip) But when they arrived, they were sent from Nordstrom, which I thought was very weird, but figured it may be due to the overnight shipping. I decided I did not like the style, and using the label to return them that was enclosed in the box. In the box was directions to "drop off, or hand to mail person". That was a mistake I wish I had not made, but I trusted they would be fine. After all, didn't they have a tracking number on the return label? I never received a refund and have not been getting anywhere with them. They say they never received them. After months of going back and forth with them (by email because I could NEVER get them to pick up my call!!) they told me today: to Contact Nordstrom. The end. They want nothing to do with it. Now Nordstrom is saying if I didn't purchase the boots from them, they can't help... Really disappointed, never ordering from Hunter again.

NEW UPDATE: Here are a couple emails I received from both Hunter and Nordstrom. AT least NORDSTORM is starting to admit what might have happened, while Hunter continues to deny it.
FRom Hunter this morning:

Dear Ms Palen,

Thank you for your email.

Having read through your previous email, we can confirm that it is very likely that you sent your parcel back to Nordstrom where it originally came from.

Orders placed on our website do not come from Nordstrom, nor do they have a USPS prepaid return label enclosed in the box.

In this case, as we use UPS, not USPS for delivery and return delivery, we must recommend that you contact Nordstrom regarding your return.

We hope this clarification was helpful in resolving any confusion in this matter.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Alexis

Here is what Nordstrom had to say today:

Your Nordstrom Inquiry Customer Service

Dear Ms. Palen,

I'm so sorry for the back and forth regarding this issue. I reviewed all the orders we have for you, the only one is the refund the previous agent provided. The Black Hunters boots we received on December 18th, 2017 and refunded to your Paypal account. Since this purchase you're inquiring about was made with Hunters we will not have any further information. We do not fulfill orders made with Hunters. However, when one of our customers places an order on Nordstrom.com for Hunter's one of Hunter's warehouses fulfills the order and ships it to our customer. What appears happened is the same warehouse fulfills for Hunter.com and provided the Nordstrom return label instead of their own. If we received the boots when our returns team couldn't locate a purchase or order they would've sent them back. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Best Regards,

Kylie S. | Customer Care | Nordstrom.com | 888.282.6060

I'll keep you posted. But wouldn't it have been easier for Hunter to admit it might have been a mistake on their part and check into it? Instead of continuing to act as if I am a Liar? What ever happened to the customer is always right?

Shame on Hunter products

Worst experience ever. This company should not be allowed to sell this peace of garbage. Purchased this boots 5 months ago, cracked after a month and now the seems or the welding are coming apart. Hunter told me they will replace boots after calling about 15 times. It has been a month and half, nothing no date, no feed back.
A real scam
Do not buy this product!!!

I bought some boots as a christmas present for my friend. After 10! days of use the shoes fall apart because of a material defect. So I got in contact with the hotline and the guy told me to send some photos of the boots (which I did immediatley) and asked for a return label. It took Hunter more than a month to solve the problem - finally the boots were out of stock so I had to ask for a refund. Today I got the mail that within 5 to 10 days I will get my money back - HOPEFULLY!

If zero stars were possible

If zero stars were possible, Hunter Customer Service would be the biggest zero I've ever give. 4months plus, I have been communicating with Hunter about my faulty boots that fell apart. After dozens of emails, and a handful of calls, I am still in the process of receive a replacement pair! Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Appalling customer service

This company kept me on hold for hours, then were rude and cut me off the phone. I wanted to exchange a product, which 1 month after returning to them I’d heard nothing about, but they claimed it wasn’t in stock. Guess what? It WAS in stock on their website. I will not call them again to wait on hols for hours, and they have ignored my emails. I refuse to buy from this rude company again. I wonder if they treat the Royal family this way?

I appear to have fallen foul of the …

I appear to have fallen foul of the shockingly bad customer service. I ordered three pairs of boots before Christmas. Returned all three in two separate parcels on 9th January, which were both received by Hunter on 15th January (I know because the app they recommend told me). I was refunded for the single pair in one parcel but am still waiting on the refund for the two pairs in the second parcel which was received on the same day. I called Hunter on 26th January and spoke to an advisor, who kept saying 'perfect, perfect' to everything I said but told me he couldn't action the refund as it would need to go to a supervisor but I would get the refund 'as soon as possible'. I explained that they had received the parcel 11 days beforehand and refunded for the first parcel, so why the delay, only to get the same excuse. So, nearly a week later, I still don't have my refund so called again. Different advisor, same 'perfect, perfect' to everything I said and then told me that I would get my refund 'as soon as possible' once a supervisor had confirmed that the parcel that she could see had been received, had been received. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and was told that was not possible and that I would get my refund 'as soon as possible'. I have complained via the email address for complaints at hunterboots.co.uk but do not expect to hear from them any time soon. Absolutely dreadful service.

My wellies started to peel

My wellies started to peel, I thought Hunter would easily sort this and replace them as they had little to no wear on the soles as I’d never really used them, but no! Their customer service team is appallingly bad and their wellies are of a really poor quality!! Would never buy from them again!

Customer service is a joke!!!

I would never buy direct from this company again!! Customer service is joke!!!! I bought 2 pairs of boots for my grand daughters for christmas and neither of them fit... For 2 weeks I tried to call, only to get a busy signal and then disconnected... finally after waiting on the phone for over an hour I got to talk to someone... Yes they did send me a shipping label, but would not let me get the color of boots my grand daughter wanted. They said that they were out of stock... But when I looked on their website it was in stock... Fed up I put in a claim through PayPal and got my money back... NEVER AGAIN!!!! I went to Boise Mall and found the boots at Dillards...

Hunter Boots

My advice is to steer clear of this company until they improve their quality and customer service. I live in a town and walk my dog in the local park for an hour a day. In the last two years, I have "successfully" gone through three pairs of Hunter Boots. They all leak. I have used their Wellingtons and two pairs of Chelsea boots, the second being a replacement for the first. All leak. The customer service is nil - no answers on their telephone number, no and/or very delayed answers to e-mails. I have now had to resort to a County Court Summons. What a shame that what was a premier British brand has fallen so low.

Never, ever again.

Staggeringly poor customer service. Even in an age when customer service is increasingly a casualty of pressure to keep prices down, Hunter Boots stands out in a place reserved only for the most arrogant and breathtakingly incompetence and indifference. Having read the reviews here, all I can see is incompetence running through the whole experience like a stick of rock. Website promising delivery 1-3 days only to find it doesn't even get despatched until days after this. Working from home to await delivery only to receive that dread text from hell "we called while you were out" NO YOU DID NOT YOU LYING TOERAGS!! Calling, endless waiting, 3 emails in 3 days, no response whatsoever and then a few days after Christmas (after having made a 2 hour trip up to London to get a pair in person) the boots arrive. Many calls and emails and now weeks later, finally they send DPD to collect the boots for a refund but despite confirming back to me by email where to collect them they go to my home instead. This is a company that inebriates itself with its own marketing hyperbole, the British brand values, (it's about as British as the repositioning itself with the PYTs and the festival set whilst trying to hang on to its core market of middle aged middle England. But anyone who has visited its Regent Street store will not it is failing badly. It's like a bad trip, completely confused, pop colour, pseudo industrial (uncomfortable), a cross between a warehouse club and Madam Jojos. Middle England is a forgiving place, provided whatever else you do, you have good manners and you extend your customers the courtesy of at least faking that you give a fig once you've taken their money. David Cameron reportedly hid his Hunters for that photoshoot, eschewing them for a pair of Dunlops for fear of being perceived as "posh". As the last three years have shown us, the man and the boots share much in common: a lack of integrity and a disdain for the people who keep them in business.

Sad Customer Service on a Highly Recommended Brand

I bought a pair of Chelsea Boots about 3 months ago. Today as I was putting my boots on, the tag (on the back of the heal) tore off along with a bunch of the rubber, resulting in them being unwearable. I contacted customer service immediately after ad I was very upset at this hoping to resolve something (even just a repair at my cost) and the lady basically told me "no there's nothing we can do" and that was about it. Pretty disappointing from such a well established company, I expected higher from them and the fact that I spent $200 Canadian on a rubber boot.

My boots split along the calf by the rehinforcment strap I tryed to claim under the warranty and was told it was not covered. It was clearly a material defect but was offered 20% off. I would advise that even though they have a royal seal of approval your money is far better spent at your local mole vally farmers. Very poor customer services
