Not going to even try to contact Hunters after reading the reviews. Looks to be an effort in futility. Have had my pair for about three years, but not worn much. Split on both sides of one boot on calf. Definitely not worth the money.
Dreadful Customer Care from Hunter
Very poor customer Service and to be honest a sub standard product, and definitely not worth the money.
I purchased a pair just over a year ago, to walk my dog, and they have perished and leak terribly. I have had to send photos of the boot and item reference and the response was that it is not a manufacturing fault.
I am still in discussions with them as I am not happy with the automated email responses I am receiving, the last email didn't even have a correspondence name attached to it.
I have so far been offered a 20% discount off a new pair, which clearly is not acceptable.
Just goes to show paying more for a product certainly doesn't mean better quality.
Worst shopping experience ever
Worst shopping experience ever. Returned socks in early December, they have acknowledged their Warehouse have got them but no refund. I have mailed and phoned numerous times and each time told it will happen but a Warehouse Manager needs to process it. Other companies refund in days not 31 days, disgraceful will never buy anything from this company again! Appalling customer service.
Poor Customer Service.
Very poor customer service. I have called 5 times and been on hold an average of 30 minutes each time I have called. I have emailed as well as my husband has emailed the company. All I am trying to do is exchange a pair of boots because the product runs large and they were a gift. The product is good but runs very large, but I am very disappointed that it has taken over 2 weeks to elicit any type of response. I would be willing to change my review if I was simply contacted back. If I am penalized any further for the 30 day exchange policy even though I have called 5 times, even from work, and my husband has called an additional 3, I will be very disappointed in the company. I love this product and want so badly to give them a great review, but the hours I have spent trying to contact the company is why my rating is so low. I have spent between 3-4 hours trying to make a return and feel that is not acceptable.

This has not been a good shopping experience for me as a first time customer with Hunter. From being misled with the sizing of their boots where they state on their site boots are true to size then when my boots arrive in a size 5 my feet and ankles are swimming in them and nowhere is it mentioned that they can come up a bit bigger or to buy their boot socks to wear in them, which meant I had to return them to exchange for a size 4, which was done in plenty of time to get them back by Christmas which never happened. I was never able to speak to someone on the phone as long waiting times, then chatting with Andrew who was rude and abrupt. To being stonewalled by Caleb re the exchange order dispatch, which resulted in him advising me to leave my contact details for a manager to get back to me about my complaint and nobody did! To finally speaking with their Edinburgh office, to a receptionist who sounded harassed and kept interrupting me then hung up on me! to then receiving an email before Christmas with the dispatch details telling me it will arrive via dpd in 1-3 working days and it arrived after Christmas, then seeing on their site that I still have so many hours and counting to order in time for Christmas and then being told my exchanged boots may not arrive before Christmas despite them being returned in plenty of time, as they were only interested in fulfilling orders placed within a certain time frame to be dispatched before Christmas ignoring previous customers who had issues with their orders as I had!
This was an awful inconvenient stressful first time shopping and customer service experience which I was surprised to have been given seeing as Hunter are such a high end brand who sell expensive products. Therefore, all things considered I asked for a refund on my order of their welly socks, which arrived before my exchanged boots before Christmas despite that order being made after the boots! Emails from me asking why I had been delayed were ignored! I thought it only fair to be reimbursed for my order of the welly socks as a gesture of goodwill for all the hassle and discourteous treatment I experienced, which of course they refused and were only willing to offer me a 10% discount on a future order! Did they really believe I would order again after this awful experience?! So I have returned the welly socks for a refund. I’m pretty sure they breached the contract and I hope I never have to deal with this brand again as they can’t be trusted to deal with issues that arise and they don’t communicate clearly and with courtesy.

Boots ordered 9th dec - never turned up - have been shuttled back and forwards between DPD & Hunter for over a month - Their cust service line is rarely answered and my increasingly angry emails are responded to with an automated message - NEVER AGAIN.

The worst customer service I have ever dealt with! Took 10 days to get an initial reply to my complaint, and it has been 4 days since I replied but I am still no closer to getting the problem resolved.
For a premium company (with premium prices) the products and service is horrendous. My complaint was regarding a pair of high spec mens Balmorals which I had for around a year and a half, until they split down one side. Now I know that they are out of the 12 warranty period, but I probably on average wear them 2 or 3 times per week through the wetter months in the UK. Probably each time they are worn I walk between 1-2 miles with my dogs.
As I explained to Hunter, I even purchased their very overpriced care kit to make sure I got the most out of my purchase.
Overall, I will be buying a pair of aigle wellies next. Anything but Hunter.

With in 5 months of buying my hunter wellies, they had perished badly and both leak! I contacted Hunter and followed thier instruction and after alot of emails from me and calls was granted a replacement pair. 4 months on still no replacement! Every time I call I get told the same thing, someone will be in touch, or you will receive your boots soon.... But nothing!!! Hunter customer service is terrible!!.

One star seems too generous for Hunter Boot’s customer service. About 4 months ago, the belt on my buckle was wonky, so I emailed Hunter Boots to see if they would send me a replacement for the buckle. They instead offered to replace the boots entirely for a new one. I was quite impressed by their initiative in offering a resolution for me.
After providing them my shipping address, they wrote back that they’d be shipping them out within a couple of days.
A couple weeks go by and I called their customer service, asking about the status of my boots while referring to my reference number. Apparently the boots haven’t been sent out yet, mentioning that it needs to be approved by the manager to get it shipped out. This made no sense, as I was already told by email I was approved for a new pair (note: I emailed them about my boots within the warranty time). Then the lady on the phone let’s me know that she “understands my concerns” but can’t do anything about it this week since they are backed up by their Cyber Monday sale. This was again a rather dubious excuse, considering a replacement pair was supposed to be mailed out two weeks before Cyber Monday started.
Regardless, I complied, and she assured me that she would call me within the next couple of days to let me know when the boots were to be sent out.
4 months later, and still no call. Since then I have emailed customer service over 7 times with no response, and have waited on hold on their customer service line for up to an hour at a time.
It almost seems like they’re waiting on my warranty to end to get back to me with the “unfortunate news” that I’m no longer entitled for a refund.
I have since given up on both their product and the customer service they claim as their priority.
Buyers, beware. Hunter Boots sell a range of relatively expensive rain boots that seems (or so you might think) to be justified but their warranty. But if their service is horse crap, you’re better off saving your hard earned money. Go for quality AND service. Hunter Boots has neither.
AWFUL. Worst Customer Service EVER.
Worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I purchased a pair of boots on 11/2.
It took over 2 weeks for them to arrive. During that time I emailed customer service asking when they would ship or arrive, (because I never received a shipping email), and I get a default message that they were looking into my inquiry (no one ever got back to me with any info at all).
When they finally arrived, the boots were too small of my calves so I tried to print a return label off the website (as it says to do) but the website listed my order as "pending" and would. Not allow me to print a return label.
I sent 8 emails over the course of three weeks asking how to get a return label and I kept getting a default e-mail saying they were looking into the inquiry.
On 12/6 I called and waited on hold for 37 minutes. I spoke to someone who said Hunter was having issues with their website and that is why I had been unable to print a return label online. So they would have to manually send me a return label via email. They also said they would give me a TEN PERCENT COUPON for my troubles. What a slap in the face.
They sent me the return label the next day (with an email saying that I would receive a refund with-in 10 business days of them receiving the returned boots) and I mailed the boots back.
The boots were delivered to them on 12/12.
Today is 1/9 and still no refund.
I have sent three emails with no reply asking about my refund.
I have tried calling the customer service number several times over the last five days and I get a busy signal and cannot get through.
This is my first time purchasing a Hunter product and I cannot believe what a terrible experience this has been all around.
I will NEVER EVER purchase from them ever again. I will be calling my bank to see what I can do about getting my money back.
I have never had to leave a bad review for any company. This is completely unacceptable.
I just awful customer experience
I received a pair of boots for Christmas, unfortunately they are too big. I have been trying to exchange them for nearly 3 weeks. Between the 5 hour customer service windowthey provide, 40+ minute wait every time I have to call and their inability to simply email the label to me I have yet to accomplish a simple exchange. I wish I would of never bought from them. It’s a shame they can get away with this because it appears this is a trend. Horrible

Style over Substance!
Being a fond countryside enthusiast, spending most of my time outside, I mistakenly thought a trusted brand like Hunter would be the way to go.
I was wrong!
I have now owned 3 pairs of boots from Hunter, after each purchase I believed that buying a more “heavy-duty” pair would solve any past issues.
It didn’t!
The boots look great, for a matter of months, then degrade easily. All pairs I have owned have split, cracked and the rubber soles easily wore and degraded.
They’re basically not fit for purpose, especially given how expensive they are!
My advise?
Save your money and buy some insulated snow/muck-type boots with a good tread.
Avoid Hunters!
What a joke of a company..... I returned my hunter boots back in …
I returned my Hunter boots back in October and still waiting for either a replacement pair or refund, like so many people I to have had an email saying it’s being processed but the customer service number seems to constantly ring with no one answering it. I’m disappointed and disgusted Hunter can get away with all this, and will be reporting them to trading standards.
A ZERO STAR rating would be to generous for this incompetent company!
Will make sure I tell everyone I know not to buy ANYTHING from them again, and inform a few editors/journalists I know to never review their products in the future.
Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service - possibly the worst I have encountered in years. They are ignoring my emails and those from PayPal. Hunters web site failed just before Christmas and I have now paid 3 times for the same order, twice via PayPal and once by debit card. I queried the PayPal activity each time with Hunters customer service only to be assured they didn't get the money and to try again. I have raise the appropriate recall actions with PayPal and my credit card provider for the 2 erroneous payments but this is still outstanding since the 16th of December. I don't care how good the boots are now I will never buy off of this crowd ever again. I am only sorry there is not a -1 star rating
WORST customer service ever
WORST customer service ever! I need to return a pair of boots and I submitted my request online but the process didn't work and I never got a return label. I have called their customer service number 18 times before getting through and that was only to remain on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up. I also have been waiting 6 days for them to answer my e-mail request. So now I am going to have my credit card withhold payment to them and see what happens as I continue to hold onto my merchandise! Absolutely HORRIBLE. I will never buy from them again.

DO NOT BUY from here. It’s absolutely disgusting how they treat there customers. On the 2nd off December my partner bought me a pair of hunters and two pair of socks for Christmas. On the 5th of December I received my parcel. They all were two small for me so I requested a return. I went on live chat the same night and they said just return by click and collect. I send the hunters and the socks back for a bigger size. I downloaded the app collect+ and it said they arrived back at the depo on the 11th December. I’ve been online chats from now n then and still no HUNTER or SOCKS. I’ve just rang customer service as it was just getting a joke now and they’ve said my hunters are out on dispatch and my socks are requested refund as they are not going to be here for Christmas. The customer service is poor as asked to speak to manager and I kept being told he wosnt in. I’m not letting them get away with it. There faster enough to take the money but can’t simply return our items. We should all who has been affected get these hunter sorted or report them to the paper and spread what they do to the customer. Appsolutly discuting

I wish there was a zero start to rate Hunter customer service! They are absolutely THE WORST!!!!!! They are thieves! I purchased a boot online at a time where they had limited free shipping to my country, they did not send the boot for weeks and everytime I sent an email to ask about it they either won't reply or they would reply by saying we will look into your query and they won't send me an answer. I had to call so many times because they dont reply to emails, they would always say that they had to ask their supervisor! I had to pay so much for international calls. They finally told me that they can't send me the boot because they are not able to recognize my adress and promised a refund for the boot. I tried purchasing it again with a different address but by that time the shipping was not free anymore so I asked for a code to get free shipping since it was their fault that they took forever to tell me the reason they didnt ship my boot and for all the inconvenience they caused me.They said that there is no such code and that I should buy the boots and pay shipping and that they will refund me with the shipping price after I make the purchase and they never did. I sent them an email every single day about it they didnt relpy to the first few emails then they finally replied and again just said we'll look into your query and till this day nothing new! I can't call them anymore it's like they have my number blocked it's so weird it will hang up right before it rings.
