I had a gas safety check done back in…

I had a gas safety check done back in March. I was very happy with the engineer Darren Coyle, he was very professional, did the required checks and sent the certificate promptly. He has done the checks for a couple of my properties over the years and I've always found him very professional. He also always calls when he's on his way, which I find very helpful.

Gas Safety Engineer Darren

Darren turned up as arranged and on time. Was very quick & efficient with the safety inspection. While servicing the boiler, he recommended a couple of minor works that could help prolong the life of the boiler. No issues with the engineer nor the company.

Gas safe certificates

I recently booked my gas safe certificates to be completed. I was lucky enough to have Darren Coyle return for the second year running. He arrived on time , completed all the checks in a professional manner and gave me extra advice when asked. I received both my certificates moments after he left.
Very happy with the service and will book again next year.

Darren was great

Darren was great. He arrived on time. He was very honest and completed the job in QuickTime. I have used landlord certificates repeatedly over the years and I find them to be highly efficient and reliable and will continue using them for the foreseeable future.

I was asked to pay double the amount…

I was asked to pay double the amount after the assessment. The terms and conditions are changed after they do the assessment. All of this happens with the new renters act, as they try to take undue advantage by failing the certificate and looking for more work.

Our pricing structure is transparently stated on our website, booking form, and invoice. The standard fee of £99 for an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) covers properties with up to 10 circuits and 1 fuseboard, which is typical for most 3-bedroom residential properties.

Our terms and conditions have not changed; they clearly specify what is included in this price.

In your case, the property had more than one fuseboard and exceeded 10 circuits, which is why additional charges were applicable.

This approach is consistent with industry standards and is designed to ensure fair and transparent pricing for all clients. We have been using this system for over 14 years, aiming to keep it straightforward and free of excessive technical jargon.

We always strive to be fair and honest, and if additional work is required—such as extra fuseboards or circuits—it is only right that these are charged accordingly. We regret any inconvenience caused, but we believe our pricing reflects the scope of work accurately.
