Do not book any car or pay any money to Liigu.
I had a booking with Liigu since September 2024 which ended up being modified without my knowledge (the car was modified as well as imposing km restrictions, which were originally unlimited).
When I realised I proceeded with cancelling the booking.
I have now been waiting for the promised 72h-full refund (approx 1,300€) since 6 November despite weekly email follow-ups, that have remained unanswered. The phone line, whatsapp, or liigu app all direct to an email address that completely ignores any communication.

This is the worst company

This is the worst company. DO NOT BOOK with them. They park the car in a village that you have to get a minibus to. It is impossible to find on the return and I nearly missed my flight. I booked an airport pick up and they tried to get me to pick up at the hotel above. I got a €15 parking ticket to pick up at airport then got a fine of €65 on return as they sent me to the wrong car park. They have ignored my multiple emails to complain and now have disabled their phone number

Do NOT work with this company

Do NOT work with this company! Rented a vehicle in Italy on 9/30/24. They took a security deposit of over $1600 just before the start of the rental - unknown to me at the time of the reservation and now too late to make other arrangements. Rental went ok but they did not return the deposit afterwards. This appears to be a trend based on other reviews. They no longer take support calls so you cannot talk to anyone.

Scam Company keeps your Deposit

I've been waiting for more than two months now on my deposit being returned, and I'm hearing nothing back. No answers by e-mail or whatsapp, and they of course don't have a phone number.

Stay away, Liigu is a scam.

I have been trying to contact them for a while now, all I need is to be refund my deposit left!

I have been trying to contact them for more than two weeks now, since they have my bank details for the refund. Still there isn't any reply to my email or phone call at all (phone calls & support emails)
Please can any one tell me if there any other way to reachout to this people??
Can anyone help me to contact them please, I need my deposit money back!!!
I'm getting robbed now, they have my bank details to process it?

I am extremely disappointed

I am extremely disappointed. I booked an estate car through Expedia for the Christmas holiday, which is typically one of the busiest times of the year. The reservation I received was for a hatchback car. However, the real issue arose when they canceled the reservation without my approval, just one month before the holiday, and by then, all the prices had skyrocketed. Despite numerous attempts, I was unable to reach customer service via phone or WhatsApp. They also have not responded to my email. I would not recommend trusting this service.

Fraudulent company update

Left a review a few days ago regarding my security deposit not being returned after 2 months. Thought I’d update, Liigu support finally emailed me to provide banks details to refund my over £1,200.00 which I did.
The next email I received informed me that my car will be ready to collect in Bordeaux on the 11th September 2024(this was the date of my original booking???)
Absolutely no mention what’s happening with my refund.

Charged for fake damages.

Liigu have not returned the rest of my deposit, claiming damages that don't exist. I have sent them photos and videos and they've gone silent on me for the past 3 weeks. Disgrace. Liigu - respond!!

This company is an absolute scam

This company is an absolute scam, avoid. As other reviewers have mentioned, the cars and the tech are fine. The scam is the deposit. They have not returned it in over 6 weeks; meanwhile support was telling me to be patient and that the returned rental state of the car was under evaluation. Luckily, my credit card company came to the rescue but for a 5 day rental without any issues, this is nerve racking. I will never use this company again, it is absolute trash. No one should be able to hold your money for that long, it is clearly a scam. They are likely using the money for other investments, much like a Ponzi scheme.

THIEVES

The issue is: they are THIEVES! After more than a month of renting, I gave the car back in impeccable shape, cleaner than I got it, but with half the gas tank instead of full because there was a national incident at the airport and the gas station (and all Parking) was closed. I explained to the service team they said this was no problem, but they kept the full 1.000€ deposit! For half a gas tank that costs no more than 50€. Most renting companies have a price for gas (around 100-150 max) but Liigu keeps 1.000! Thieves!

Started off well...

Booked car with them, they emailed to say that car wasn't available and offered another (so far so good), I asked about size as concerned replacement wasn't big enough and they again wrote back promptly. The new car was listed at a cheaper price on website so I enquired if I would get it for that price (rather than more expensive car I had booked). Correspondence ignored, over several months I sent polite reminders and they never responded - meanwhile prices went up about 250% and I ended cancelling the booking as never heard from them. Really really poor and can't take a risk hiring from a company that ignores customers.

after searching 2 hr to find car, spent 1hr on phone with support to get it to turn off.
they charged our credit card $1600 damage deposit we are still fighting for return after 2 months.

Deposit still missing after 2 months

Deposit was meant to be returned within 72 hours. It’s been over 2 months, countless emails, social media messages and telephone calls (or should I say attempts at telephone calls - I’ve been hung up on 3 times before even speaking to anyone), and still no returned deposit. Do not rent a car with this company.

It has now been 8 weeks since I…

It has now been 8 weeks since I returned the car and the deposit has not been returned. I was forced to raise it with my credit card company who are now handling the situation. Feels like a company in a death spiral, I would recommend everyone to stay away

No deposit returned

Its unfortunate to report that I had to contact my credit card to dispute the deposit, because otherwise this would have been a positive review. Luckily for me my credit card company agreed and has returned the money.

I waited for a week for my deposit then heard back that there was an 'investigation'. I waited another week to get grainy, undated photos of minor scratches that were going to cost me more than 400 euros! They also stated that they weren't even going to fix the scratches meaning I couldn't use my credit card insurance to cover the cost as they require auto shop receipts. No more responses as I requested more information. After a month of not even getting the balance of my deposit I had to dispute charge.
Thanks to my credit card for helping me here. Don't use Liigu though if don't want to go through this yourself!

LIIGU en arrêt d'activité ne restitue pas la caution !!!

Après m'avoir annoncé par mail le retour de ma caution quelques jours après la location en 09/24, elle ne m'a toujours pas été restitué le 11/11/24. Motif invoqué par LIIGU (message original) : "We are aware of the need to return your deposit.
We have initiated the liquidation process of the company because Liigu OÜ has been unable to fulfill its business plan due to slower-than-expected growth in the rental market, failure to meet sales targets, and the excessive costs of owning the vehicle fleet. We are returning the vehicles that were used by Liigu (including those used by you) to our partner. The vehicle owner will inspect the condition of the vehicles, and a report on any damages will be presented to Liigu.
The process of returning the vehicles and checking their condition is expected to last until December 2024. This significantly affects Liigu’s financial situation and its ability to return the deposit to you. It may happen that Liigu will not be able to refund the deposit in full."

We apologize for the situation and are doing everything we can to resolve this as quickly and smoothly as possible.". Pourtant il est toujours possible de louer des voitures via leur application : j'ai d'ailleurs annulé ma réservation faite pour novembre de peur de voir encore 1000 euros non remboursés. Ce n'est pas sérieux, j'espère récupérer ma caution mais dans tous les cas compagnie à proscrire.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have still not returned my deposit (over £1,200) from a booking in September and now claim it may not be returned because the company is in liquidation. I have since discovered that the company was in liquidation before I made the booking and I suspect they always intended to keep my deposit to help with cash flow. I will be seeking legal advice and trying everything possible to get my money back...
