We have used Liigu many times now. It is always a simple and straightforward experience with customer support readily available, if required. The time saved at the airport at both ends of the journey is significant and we wouldn't want to go back to the 'old' car rental companies.

10/10, the whole process was pretty easy. There were a couple of things that were slightly annoying but of no major impact or nothing I couldn't solve myself.
We picked the car up from an underground hotel car park - which was free so no paying charges to collect, the issue with that was that there was no signal to conext to the car underground so I had to go back up and then run back down while it was searching for the Bluetooth link.
10 minutes to fix but at midnight was a little annoying.
The car itself was a lot bigger than what we ordered but it was a very nice drive, actually very useful and 10/10 for spec and equipment. The large waterbottle in the car was a nice touch.
Little issue 2 is sometimes it says no key detected inside the car when you're already in with your phone, I found locking and unlocking on the app whilst in the car made it register. Slightly annoying and the first time was pretty scary but was an easy fix once we figured it out.
Let the whatsapp team know when my flight was delayed arriving, polite and quick communication.
Hand back was just taking photos and emailing as well as recording where you have parked it.
Am yet to receive my deposit but have been notified it's on its way back.
10/10 would use again, wish it was in more places. We've also looked into the European subscription service for the cars, we loved it so much

I was incredibly nervous as this was my first car hire and first time driving in France! The app was easy to install and communication is via WhatsApp which I'm fine with. Once you've proven your identity the rental is agreed. On the day just before you arrive, you're sent a picture of the car and a map location, just go to that and your phone is the key!
One hint - certainly if you're an android user, be sure to kill off the app in your task manager if you've not used the key for a while. The app can get stuck connecting, so killing it off and starting again gets you working again.
When it comes to the end of the rental, you'll be given directions of the car park to go to. Follow this and take a photo of the location.
Also (you should probably do this with all rentals) take photos all around the car to show damage or lack of it. But on this occasion, I didn't need to prove anything.
Finally, try using a credit card that doesn't charge fees for non-sterling transactions as all debits will be in euros.

What was already a poor experience, with completely inadequate, and incorrect information about where to collect the car from and where to return it to, became worse after the hire ended. At that point Liigu claimed that I had scratched the rear bumper, and withheld 100 euros from my security deposit. The bumper was not scratched at all – I had taken photos of the car at the end of the hire, which showed there was not the slightest damage, and which I had sent to Liigu when the hire ended. I asked them to show me, on those photos, where the alleged scratch was. They’ve just ignored me, and kept the 100 euros.
Looking at other reviews (on other sites) I can now see that they do this kind of thing all the time. I wish I had checked out more reviews in other places like Tripadvisor, etc, because I would have avoided this firm. I’ll certainly never hire with them again.

Really good price. The car was parked in a carpark for us to collect using our phone app. Directions to get to the car were spot on and we were given directions on where to leave it which also were easy to follow.

No clerks!
Missing human interaction can be frustrating when you have a problem or you would like to check your contract. However, past the delay in providing the car, the rest of the experience has been positive. Managing the vehicle via the app is simple, and the instructions to pick up and drop off the car are straightforward. The car was clean and in good order.

Beware of the losses via exchange rates!
We would have recommended this company, as the actual car hire went very smoothly, however, we were left out of pocket when the deposit was paid back. Not due to any damage, but the exchange rate (no mention of this in the actual email)! Be aware of this, as you will end up spending more than you thought!

Disappointing experience
I had a mixed experience with Liigu – loved the remote dropoff and pickup, which seemed really easy and fuss-free, and the car was good – unlimited mileage, comfortable etc. In some cases the staff were quick to get back to us, and polite.
The only thing that seemed frustrating was a clear difference in what we felt to be fair business. We originally ordered a Leon, but my (quite short) partner felt that she would like a car with a higher ride, so Liigu advised me to cancel my hire and order another – we went for a Cupra Formentor, which was only 40 or 50 euros more over the week before VAT and felt like a bit of luxury.
When we got to Nice the car in the car park was a Leon – no problem, we could make it work. When I contacted them to ask if they would be automatically refunding the difference, they said no, as they felt the Leon was an upgrade. I suggested that whether they felt it was an upgrade wasn’t necessarily important (it wasn’t an upgrade to us), but they should at least refund the difference between what I paid, and what I got. They they countered to say that the Leon cost more than the Formentor, which is also why they would refuse any refund. When I informed them that the Leon was cheaper both in the quotes I had received and according to their current web page (and attached pictures of their website confirming this), they failed to respond. A day later, I asked to refer this to the complaints dept, and once again, I have had no response. I have since sent this email / review to Customer Services for comment - no response. Three attempts to get an answer over the last month without reply, as opposed to 97% of reviews here.
So, kind of a strange attitude – it’s not a lot of money, but it was my money, and would have paid for a meal out for the evening, so it felt a bit like I was being dismissed and ignored. So, a really mixed bag – I think with a F2F service I would have been taken more seriously.
Edit : after posting this review, Liigu got in touch and refunded me the difference, asking me to reflect this in this review. I can confirm I have now received the refund.

Liigu didn't fulfill their promise
Liigu didn't fulfill their promise, paid set price for the car with GPS, guess what, upon arrival at MPX I picked up the car and surprise, NO GPS.
After talking with customer service 5 times I was ask to send picture of the screen on whats up and someone will get back to me.
2 days later, no respons, by then I was In Sirmione using my phone with not reliable service.
Day 3, tried to contact customers service, no luck, "all operators are busy servicing other customers"
At the worst time my sim card
from Orange travel died, no GPS on the phone, no GPS in the car, couldn't found my way to Verona, could buy new sim card due to national holiday in Italy on 8/15.
Again tried later that day to contact customer service, no luck.
Next day 8/16 finnaly I got someone who told me to email support at liigu.me with pics.
After three days finaly someone email me back with
"Sorry for inconvinience" we can swap your rental car with car with GPS, just bring it back to the MXP (Milan airport) and for inconvenience we,will give 20 liigu points for future use..
I was at the time in Bologna and I refused driving back waste time of my vacation because of someone else mistake.
All in all, Liigu didn't keep their promise, they don't wanna give me different price for a car without GPS, because "Price was preset and we can't change it or give you a refund"
I've paid fair and square to have GPS and liigu didn't keep their part of out contract.
I'll be filling a complaint with the European Consumer Centres Network.

Straight Forward
A slight delay at pick-up, though getting balance between no delay in being told parking spot and not giving customer a bigger parking charge at the airport is difficult to get exactly right! Slightly annoyed that car parked at different terminal to one I arrived at. Giving ability to say which terminal arriving at would be good. App worked well. Closing it down after locking the car, meant no connection issues when wanting to unlock. Return instructions were easy to follow and got deposit back within time frame notified. Very happy and good price, in comparison to more established companies.
