We were a bit to early to get the car 3:30pm instead of 5pm, the flight and the luggages were faster than we anticipated. They guy at the reception asked us to come back later. We were expecting something different, maybe look at some other possibilities, start at least the paper work, a more enjoyable reception Will be preferred. We return around 4:05pm ( a different guy eas at the reception) and all when very well at that time.

Great customer service. Easy to talk too. They got you in and out quickly. Would definitely rent again.

The process of rental and return was relatively quick and painless. Car was good though a little battered. Maintenance alert came on twice during the trip, but we were assured via email that it was a routine thing to be handled on our return. No pressure for added insurance (we had extra coverage from another group).

They just expoited human suffering caused by Etna and let us paid more than €300 for a single day.

After careful consideration, we booked a VW T-Cross 1.0 TSI 115CV DSG Edition Plus with an automatic transmission and an adjustable boot for 15 days, specifically to ensure it would fit four people with four suitcases. However, upon arrival, a manual Skoda Kamiq 1.0TSI 70kW Black Dots was waiting for us. We were told it was an equivalent vehicle and it was a "take it or leave it" situation.
We managed to squeeze all four suitcases into the boot and got into the car. Only then did we realize it had a manual transmission. Since we had paid for an automatic, we had every reason to firmly protest.
Because there were no automatic cars available in the parking lot that evening, they suggested we return the following morning to swap the vehicle. Fortunately for us, our first accommodation was booked just 10 km away, so we were able to accept this offer.
If it hadn't been for the complications with the wrong car, I would give the entire service a 5 out of 5. After all, we received the car we actually ordered 14 hours later. Having driven around Sicily for 15 days, we were able to confirm that our original choice was completely justified and met all of our expectations.

Everything was great. Easy to fetch and return the car. The car worked great. The only negative thing was the behaviour from the Young girl behind Locauto desk in the arrival
In the AirPort. She was not service-minded at all. Your company would gain better reviews with just a smile and a ”welcome”! Small kind things means a LOT towards customers!!!

For the first time since I started renting cars, the Locauto employee at the airport didn't try to push extra insurance coverage on me. I really appreciated that. Everything else was very straightforward, too. My only minor criticism: it wasn't possible to link the reservation to my account in the Locauto app, and an inquiry sent to customer service went unanswered. If that feature doesn't work, there's no point in creating an account.

They made it so easy the car was great the staff were great couldn't be happier

In advance, I read reviews, so I made a choice to pay slightly more for Locauto, comparing with a competition.
It appears, it was a good decision. Only thing I could complain was state of a seats - need to be thouroughly washed.
Everything else went smoothly, without any glitch, very fast, Opel Corsa works perfectly.
I would recommend Locauto.

Very friendly personality and excellent customer service

The Locauto renting experience was seamless, we booked online and got the car shortly after arriving at the airport. They allow renting with only a debit card and have full insurance coverage available. Would definitely recommend !

Very pleased with this car rental company on Sicily. Both Palermo and Catania staff are very friendly and helpful. ChatGPT recommended them as first choice. They changed the car on the fly with a slightly better one as the first appeared to have a warning light on.
I would go for them. They said return the car empty which meant the petrol price was included in the hire. Worth stating you want to return it full.

Returning a car at Catania Airport is practically impossible. We circled for 40 minutes, getting stuck in traffic every time, trying to find the car return point. I found the point on foot, and the employee not only didn’t help me, but, due to his lack of knowledge of English, even misled me, saying that I needed to look for some other parking lot instead of helping me return the car. As a result, I almost missed my flight. Moreover, because I was driving around and looking for a parking spot, I wasted 1 hour, and I was charged as if I hadn’t filled the tank completely, plus an extra day because of the delay. And I was late because traffic was rerouted before I got in, and it’s practically impossible to find a parking spot! It’s just awful!

There are excellent to work with

For seasoned travelers this was the worst experience of a rental car that we have ever had ! After having a great week in France with a different rental company, we arrived in Palermo and got given a very dirty unchecked vehicle. We asked them just to vacuum the floor of the driver, which was covered in sand and soil.The outside of the vehicle was also dirty. When we mentioned a scratch on the left rearside of the vehicle the attendant just answered that we can write the car off because we are fully covered and don't have to worry. We discovered later the left side mirror was damaged and at a fuelstation discovered it had no fuel cap!? We also had a slow puncture on the right front tire which we had to attend to frequently. The speedlimit indicator went completely highwire at certain times, it once showed 90km/hours in a 30km zone (we took a photo for reference) and 20km in a 80km zone. ... Very unreliable and dangerous for the driver to perhaps get a speeding fine. Surely after paying such a huge rental amount one should expect better? For a 13 day road trip a clean reliable vehicle is an important part of your holiday. Lastly, the signage at the Naples airport for rental cars drop-off was really not good enough... We met two other couples who also struggled to find the drop-off spot. We certainly expected much more from a reliable company as yours and would appreciate a proper response from your company to our unsatisfying experience.
