Our reservations were lost. So rental at the Venice airport cost three times what our rental reservations were and we received rude and disrespectful service

I rented from venice airport from 24 to 29 of June . I am pleased how whole process went through, quality, quick and easy. I was expecting the worse with the busiest period but I am impressed. My car was upgraded for free , nice staff and smooth process. I totally recommend this company!

Seems like scam - got damage claim, but no proof and no documents and no answers
After the rental, we received an email from Locauto stating that our rented vehicle had damage and that a claim for damages was filed in the amount of 1790 EUR. This is very surprising, as we did not have any accidents and the driver drove flawlessly and to our knowledge there was no damage to the vehicle. We sent an e-mail and a WhatsApp message asking to send photos of the alleged car damage and the repair invoice and the final invoice from them that they want me to pay as I need them for insurance. But I haven`t got any answers. In addition, for some strange reason I cannot find any information about this car rental in my account on the Locauto page, although I also did a smart check-in there and all the documents regarding to this rental should be there, including the rental agreement. But now I don`t have any documents to show to insurance and have got no answer from Locauto. Seems like it is a scam.

The lady at check-in was very helpful as I had made a mistake with the dates, so she found another car and sorted all out.
More importantly, the benefit of getting full insurance was huge. We were caught in a massive hailstorm that damaged body of the car, and there were no problems at check-out.

Location of rental kiosk was somewhat challenging to find as signage is limited. Administrative staff was helpful and professional, as was staff where auto is provided. Walk through and check process was very efficient.
Our drop off was at another location, and the contract/agreement address was their rental office at Milano Train Station. After visiting office, drop off location address was provided. Would have been easier if this is provided in the documentation.

Staff at the counter and the pickup place are very helpful and gave detailed instructions. They did not push customer to add options or additional insurance. The overall experience is great. Highly recommended!
