My sales rep Dominic was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He had the patience of a saint dealing with a million questions from us! He really went above and beyond - often outside of work hours - to ensure that I got the car that was best for my budget and needs. I cannot recommend this company - and Dominic more!!! Thank you for the best experience and I am truly happy with my car!!

Worst experience in buying anything
Worst experience in buying anything. Started when I came to pay and the agreed price had been inflated by 1k. Car had problems from the start and in the first three months the car had to go back to the dealer for 9 weeks. When I said that I wanted to return the car they said the would buy it back but only after they applied a charge for the mileage since the purchase. The vast majority of the mileage occurred when the car returned to the dealer on at leat four occasions. Customer service was awful, all calls and callbacks initiated by me. AWFUL EXPERIENCE! I have just had a reply on 09/11/2022!!!!!

Buy elsewhere.
In days passed, buying a used car was guaranteed to be a lottery with awful motors dressed up to sell with lots of horrible faults becoming obvious soon after purchase. As people became more savvy and with more money to spend the used car dealers responded and whilst you paid more you had some comfort with regard to warranty and the sales experience was akin to buying a new motor. The Lowton Motor Company is firmly stuck in the past. They do sell prestige cars but horribly. I took in a low mileage fully maintained prestige car for trade in on the day of purchase. Half way through signing the purchase documents they tried to convince me they had discovered a fault with my trade in. I’d had it plugged in the previous weekend to a dealers computer when considering a different car. They confirmed it was in perfect working order. This was a cheap hussle to try and get a few hundred quid off the trade in value. I told them I would walk away so in the end the deal went though. The car I bought is good and in mint condition so no complaints there, however it did develop a minor fault that should have been covered under their dealer warranty. Despite many calls the service manager didn’t call back, I was passed from pillar to post, so it was clear they were going to make this as difficult as possible. When I lose trust in a garage I don’t go back, so a repeat sale will never happen. I’m going to get the car fixed by a garage I trust and put the cost down to experience. In summary, you might get a prestige car but you won’t experience customer service or care of any acceptable level and prepare for the “fault” hoax on trade in day.
So BAD!..
So BAD!... so BAD!...So BAD!.... Prestige they have a cheek to put that word into the title of the business as they may sell prestige cars, but do not give you in prestige condition or offer prestige after sales service! I purchased a car from LMT, and when you buy a top end car you want a top end car! "They told me that when they sell a car they want it to be an experience for the customer - can say it has been a bad experience for sure. Not only did the car have faults on it that they have promised to fix but have not, on taking it for an independent inspection loads more issues "the warning signs were there (MOT pass with no advisories)... trying to call them to speak to them about it and keep getting passed from post to post! and the fault they said they would fix they have not and weeks later still calling them to ask them when the parts are coming in..? no answer........
I Would avoid this car dealer guys! especially if you are going to shell out your hard earned cash for a prestige car as you will be buying it from a below un prestige and below par dealer... "Not all that glitters is gold, totally gutted as all they have done is waffle sales patter - sell you the car and leave you hanging.... if I could turn back the clock, believe me I would.
"PLEASE TAKE NOTE"!
Looking to buy a Jag F Type
Looking to buy a Jag F Type, I took my immaculate Focus RS to see if we could come to some sort of a deal. I’ve had two cars from LMc in the past and trusted them. Whilst looking at the Jag, my RS was taken into the workshop for an appraisal. 10 mins later, ‘bad news, it’s showing all sorts of errors on the computer’. Little did they know I’ve had the OBD port removed to avoid theft. They didn’t even check before lying. You can’t plug mine in. A few red faces and harsh words later, I drove away. Dishonest just like the rest out there. Beware.
Simply put they are thieves
Simply put they are thieves. I saw a car online and reserved the car with £1000 deposit. I then realised that the car was too wide for my garage and requested my cash back. Three weeks on still no cash so I have issued a County Court Judgement against the director. Do not go near this corrupt company. The police did say that it was a civil matter but did also sympathise that they have stolen cash.
Arrogant and wasn't interested.
I called this evening with a view to buying a Bmw convertible from them. Having hunted around, I thought theirs was a little over the top price wise, maximum retail, considering the mileage, but was prepared to have a haggle especially having £10k cash in my pocket!
I spotted some people, scruffily dressed so assume they weren't sales folk, but I asked if I could look at the Bmw I had in mind, and they said it was ok.
Although on their website, the car looked A1, it had been keyed all down the near side, and there were a few dings along the near side door. This car was up at 9995 with big mileage whereas they average 8500 with big mileage. I wasn't bothered about mileage as I hadn't time to treck about for the pennies saved.
I loitered about for a while waiting to be acknowledged, and when I finally got a ' Yes Pal' from the same oink from earlier, I started my conversation with,
"I like that Bmw but it's a tad strong on price!"
That was voiced as an opening to a negotiation, which anyone with a brain cell or any sense of business acumen would know.
The reply was.
"Ok Pal, see ya!"
At which point said oink turned his back on me and walked off!
Luckily my TEN THOUSAND POUNDS can spend anywhere.
Well done Lowton Car Sales !
