SCAMMERS DO NOT ORDER!!!

I would give 0 or minus stars if I could! Absolute cowboy company, DO NOT ORDER. Ordered a MacBook & when it arrived it was a US MacBook, was not advertised & not what I wanted. After about 5 emails & threatening to open a dispute with my credit card provider they eventually replied & agreed to a return. The laptop has been back with them almost a week, no email to acknowledge return or info on refund. Took me another 4 emails plus further threats of opening a dispute for them to actually reply. Even then there was not even a hint of apology just “send us the tracking” (which I already had done in previous emails). Still no reply, still no refund. Will be disputing with my credit card provider & reporting to trading standards. All these positive reviews must be fake. Absolute scammers DO NOT ORDER!

MacBook Air

Arrived within 2 days even though company said it would be 4 to 6 days. Was slightly nervous about the good price. Computer was brand new with only 2 cycles from factory testing. Yes American version with plug adapter. Easily swapped power adapter but wish it had been specified as US version as pound sign not on keyboard and awkward for invoices etc. all in all a great buy and good service.

Great deal with 2 years warranry

Great price one of the most competitive around at the time in additon with 2 years warranty made this a great deal. The only thing I found odd is that it came with an american wall plug not UK. They did throw in a USA to UK adapter but i felt this should have been in the description.

Major Mobiles more like Major Scam 😂😂.

I have placed my order yesterday for a MacBook Air via OnBuy and I have tried to contact the seller via OnBuy messages and emails to no avail. OnBuy says on their website that the MacBook should be arriving on the 9th of Jan but I haven’t received a tracking number at all. Getting in contact with the seller is like running into a brick wall. I wanted to ensure that the MacBook was brand new and it came with a uk adapter and the colour was correct and also there was an incorrect letter on the shipping address which I provided to OnBuy which I tried to contact the seller to change for me as well. I am currently waiting and hoping to see if it will arrive tomorrow or not. I managed to jump through loads of hurdles to finally get in contact with MajorMobiles Fufilment company which they did tell me that they would pass my details along but they couldn’t give me any concrete information either. The question is now when will my order arrive and have I been scammed?

UPDATE!!!!! - After much persistence with the fulfilment team, they managed to get the message across, and I was told by the fulfilment team that they’ve cancelled my order. Couple hours later I received an email from OnBuy saying the orders been cancelled, with no information why. This company are a bunch of scammers I’ll be honest. Don’t order and please don’t listen to these fake reviews that are all positive it’s a major scam.

1,030 taken — no dispatch, no response, phone number not in service

I placed an order for a mobile phone and paid £1,030 (£1,000 + £30). I contacted the company immediately by email to request cancellation so I could adjust the payment method. Despite it being a full working day, I received no response.

Payment was taken, but I have received:
• No dispatch confirmation
• No tracking information
• No response to multiple emails

I attempted to contact the company by phone using the number provided, but the number is not in service (“you’ve dialled an incorrect number”). As things stand, there appears to be no way to contact the business.

After payment, I became extremely concerned after seeing numerous public reviews reporting non-delivery, incorrect items being sent (e.g. batteries instead of phones), ignored refund requests, and complete lack of communication.

At present, my money has been taken with no goods supplied and no communication. I am now having to involve my bank and treat this as a potential scam unless the matter is resolved promptly.

I am still willing for this to be resolved properly — either by immediate confirmation and dispatch of the phone ordered, or a full refund — but clear communication is urgently required.

Update:
The company contacted me privately after this review was posted and stated that my order would be cancelled and refunded. In the same message, I was asked to remove this review.

No refund has been processed and no refund confirmation or timescale has been provided. Follow-up emails have since gone unanswered.

This review will remain in place until the refund has been received. The outcome will be updated accordingly.

Update: Serious concerns, selective responses, refund avoidance, and lack of transparency

I am extremely concerned by my experience with Major Mobiles.

I have sent three clear refund requests by email and received no response whatsoever. Despite this total silence, the company found time to respond only when they objected to my factual Trustpilot review.

So they are clearly monitoring Trustpilot — but not responding to customers who are formally requesting refunds.
That selective engagement speaks volumes.

After being ignored, I reviewed other customer feedback and was alarmed to see numerous similar complaints describing:
• Requests for refunds being ignored
• Prolonged radio silence after payment
• Engagement only when negative reviews are posted
• Concerns about company legitimacy, registered address accuracy, and jurisdiction

This creates a worrying picture of a business that is responsive only when its public image is affected, not when customers are exercising basic consumer rights.

I have complied with their stated policies and requested a refund within the required timeframe. The continued lack of response is unacceptable and has forced me to escalate the matter through my bank and relevant consumer protection channels.

I am leaving this review to document my genuine experience and to warn others:
be very cautious if you need after-sales support or a refund.

If Major Mobiles wishes to resolve this properly, they can do so by responding in writing and processing the refund they have repeatedly ignored.

UPDATE:

An online order was placed on 4 January for £1,030.

The order was cancelled within the statutory cooling-off period.
Cancellation and refund were requested six times in writing.

As of today:
• No refund has been issued
• No dispatch confirmation or tracking has been provided
• No written explanation has been given for refusing cancellation

The only communication received from the merchant after cancellation was a request to remove this Trustpilot review.

Recovery of funds is now being pursued via my bank due to the merchant’s continued failure to engage with the refund process.

This update records events as they occurred, for transparency for other consumers.

Great first ever experience

Ordered an iPhone 13 and was skeptical if it would be genuine and brand new or not given that it was on a really nice sale, but it turned up and I checked with apple customer service and it was brand new genuine and not renewed exactly as they said, phone was perfect condition and nothing missing, just one thing was that the box was not great condition but I guess that’s more to do with the storage and it didn’t bother me too much since the phone itself is great with no problems, definitely would buy again from here in the future due to the great prices compared to other places.

Overall satisfied and happy 😃

Poor communication

I would give no stars at all but that’s not possible. I was disappointed with the poor communication from this seller. I saw an iPhone 16e on Black Friday sale. I bought it via OnBuy and received an email saying that it would be with me by Monday. I received no tracking information. Tuesday morning I contacted the seller but no response. OnBuy customer service sent me the tracking information but Royal Mail’s website said that they couldn’t find the parcel in the system and that I should “check back tomorrow”. I asked for a refund and received no reply. I raised a Section 75 claim with my credit card company and went to another place to buy my phone so imagine my surprise when the seller emailed me and said that the phone was shipped and would arrive the next day- a full 2 weeks after it was due. I rejected the delivery. This seller must have run out of stock and rather than admit that, they just said very little. Wouldn’t buy from them again.

No response from this Company

Eventually got my Apple MacBook but I was sure I had clicked on standard delivery. I surprised to see at checkout that £12 was added for priority service but I hadn’t tapped on that and couldn’t change it.
I’m glad I didn’t go for standard delivery as it took 5 days to come!
I messaged the company from their website and got no reply. There phone number on Trustpilot is no longer used. I emailed them. Still no reply.
I would not trust them.
