I GOT SCAMMED TOO BE WARNED

What a relief to read others are in the same boat as me. I too hooked into the wrong web page and sent for the form. Only when HMRC write did the penny drop. Marriage Allowance Claims, Leicester, took £2101.33 from the claim of £5946.67. Being a 72 year old pensioner I am really feeling the pinch. Contacted HMRC and sent recorded letters to Leicester and Marriage Allowance Claims Ltd, London but of course no response. Now alerting Action Fraud and anyone else that comes to mind. Money Which has a good write up on their web site on how this happens but not allowed to include the link!

They scammed me

I was told to fill out a form by the job centre so my wife could see if she was able get some tax relief or perhaps give me her entitlement, is how it was put to us. No mention of a third party company, the form magically got filled out again the year after complete with our signatures, it was dated 26th dec, we werent even home then, we were away, rang HMRC they are clearly in on this scam as before they sent the rebate I asked them to stop it, as I hadn't signed it. They sent it anyway, scammed me out of 176 this year and 256 the year before, the authorities do nothing, kickbacks maybe who knows.

SCAMMING GITTS!

SCAMMING GITTS!! OUT OF £178.84 They gave us a cheque for £3.36 ,thats a total fee of £174.84, the worse thing about this is they have all our personal details, if there not going to pay people correctly I wouldn't have thought this would be a trusted company to keep your personal id details, theres no phone number or any way to dispute there payment and I definitely did not see the £100 admin fee on there site when my wife applied for our tax rebate, this truly is a TERRIBLE SERVICE!! As far as me and my wife are concerned these guys have just earned themselves nearly £175 OUT OF OUR MONEY AND GIVEN US £3.00 for the privilege and are probs going sell our id details on to other companies and there's not one thing we can do about it. PLEASE BE WARNED DO NOT GET CAUGHT LIKE US AND MANY LIKE US BEFORE!!!!

Scammed out of marriage allowance

Realised I got scammed. Been over 6 months and heard nothing. Tried to get out of the contract by writing to them but they write back and said tough luck basically. HMRC paid them over £500 so will see what I get back. They work from an office block in Leicester (good old companies house) and the 2 directors have resigned and a new guy called Minas Latrou is the new owner. Pay him a visit by all means or take them to a small claim court. At least you’ll get to meet him. He won’t be able to hide behind a P.O. Box. Number. Interesting they aren’t accepting new applications and their website has changed names. Tells a story...

Scammed too.

Unfortunately I will have to add that I have also been duped, was due a rebate of £434.11 and received check for £227.78 after waiting for 6 months. Only realised it was a scam when rang HMRC to challenge the administration fee as the scammers do attach genuine HMRC letters regarding your rebate.

My wife worked in a seaside fish shop

My wife worked in a seaside fish shop, May to October. I applied for her tax rebate, usually about £260, the following May. This year, because of Covid, a recording said thet they'd be sent out in August. As she'd decided to finish working, she's 72, I decided to apply for the Marriage Allowance transfer. I thought that I was dealing with HMRC. I asked for this to be done from May 8th 2020. MAC asked for the transfer to apply to 2019/20. HMRC sent them £249. MAC sent me £120. When I complained they replied "The vast majority of our customers have had a positive experience with us" etc. This firm should be investigated, in my opinion they are common fraudsters, carrying out a scam

MARRIAGE ALLOWANCE CLAIMS LEICESTER…

MARRIAGE ALLOWANCE CLAIMS LEICESTER SCAM

Got fooled like many of you guys thinking it was HMRC. They literally charge 35% plus "20% Tax to HMRC" to fill out a form and send it to HMRC on your behalf. Your Tax rebate isnt a taxable anyway and these scammers charge you tax on it!!! PLEASE go through Government official website and do this yourself!

If only I could score this review with zero stars!

I would absolutely urge anyone and everyone not to touch this appalling scam of a company! I applied in March, haven't heard a single thing, their communication is shocking. I have since found out that this company is in no way related to HMRC, also that they take up to 50% of your claim/money back!!
I have spoken to HMRC today, they have confirmed that although not ethically legal that this company is operating legally, interestingly enough the MACs website states they are not related to HMRC and also states their fees, however if like me you applied via a social media advert then none of this vital/legal information is supplied!
HMRC are escalating these complaints and I've found them incredibly helpful however their hands are tied to an extent, once you sign and authorise MACs to act on your behalf they absolutely will take 50% of your money! Please, please, please stay well away from this company.

If there was a zero star option

If there was a zero star option, thats what this company gets. They have taken more than half what should be our money. Fraudsters.. be careful as its not obvious how much money they charge you thinking you are operating with HMRC.
