Rubbish retractable washing line

Bought one of their retractable washing lines. Didn’t get around to fitting it for a couple of months so probably binned the receipt. The product is rubbish, line just does not stay taut. Manufacturer not interested since I don’t have the receipt. Lesson learned for me; this is just rubbish

Poor quality products

Poor quality products, I bought a clothes airer for £30 which was considerably more expensive than other products, thinking it would be good quality. It failed after 6 months just through normal use and Minky refused the warranty. I'll never buy another Minky Product again. Terrible company.

Poor Customer Service

I rang Minky to get some general information about my product that I purchased. I tried to have a normal conversation with the advisor. But the advisor on the phone had an uncaring, argumentative & bad attitude. I can understand the issue is my problem to resolve but why work in customer service if you’re going to treat customers like they are nothing? I wasn’t rude at all but I simply can’t understand people who are just spiteful. The reason I’ve given this review 2 stars is because of the bad customer services. Even though the customer service wasn't great, Minky do make some fantastic products but they need to work on how they treat customers in future or they will lose customers.

Poor qulaity

Bought a Minky mop and I know it wasn’t particularly expensive but what a load of rubbish, the mop holder does not click in tight enough to support the mop it’s not big enough so you cannot get the head in to rinse properly without using your hands. Utter waste of money would have returned had I not tried it out first. Certainly will not buy replacement heads it will be in the dustbin.

Liars!

Purchase through their website never arrived after 10 days waiting, so contacted customer services who offered to send a replacement. I asked when the original item was dispatched and for the delivery tracking information, they then confessed it had never been dispatched. How can they 'replace' something they never sent in the first place? Whilst I'm genuinely disappointed by the poor service, I'm even more furious about being lied to by them suggesting a replacement as if the item had been lost when it was never sent!

Customer service experience poor and…

Our washing line is one week out of warranty and broken. This is a common fault as we have seen from previous reviews. Initially, they refused to replace it but when I argued my case they agreed over the phone. They asked for proof of purchase which I emailed and my postal address to send the replacement. However, they subsequently changed their mind and refused the honour the replacement. I was very surprised at this but can see from previous reviews here and on Amazon that their products commonly have issues and customer service seem to push the blaim on the consumer.

Shoddy goods worthless warranty

Would give no stars if possible. Bought ironing boards and covers for years without issue but my latest purchase for a 40m tower airer at £35 was complete tatt and not fit for purpose. It was self assembly and came in 1000 pieces one of the pop studs for fixing the uprights together was missing another as flimsy soft plastic deformed, there was also sharp metal swarf around the holes for the buttons to pop through, and when I got it together the uprights which looked off true before assembly but hoped would come together when assembled resulted in a completely bandy airer that wouldn't even stand straight with nothing on it. It came with a 1year manufacturers warranty but straight away minky said not their responsibility and insisted on saying it was broken rather than faulty components and rubbish design and materials after 6 or 7 e mails back and forth with me saying manufacturers warranty means you/minky and them saying return it to the retailer I gave up wrote off the £35 and though I like to buy british will never buy anything from them again. The products now are so shoddy they don't even stand up to assembly let alone washing on them or wheeling the unit around don't waste your money. Retailers tell you to go to minky but minky won't accept returns and will fight to the death to avoid any responsibility so warranty is worthless.

Wish I could give 0 stars!
Bought a three tier airer for my babies clothes and one leg has buckled in under 2 months of use. The “warranty” doesn’t cover this as the airer must apparently have been overloaded to cause this to happen. I have never overloaded the airer as it is only for baby clothes.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service! Ordered a Minky package for my daughter at uni .The parcel never arrived I have no email of dispatch .Left it a few days and emailed Minky to be told it had been lost .Apparently they have sent a replacement, but still no dispatch email or order number of the replacement.I have emailed yet again but no reply .Don't bother ordering from them .Awful

Shoddy products and look for anyway to…

Shoddy products and look for anyway to get out of honouring the warranty. Purchased a rotary line from them that has broken, they say it looks like accidental damage, the faulty part is the inner of the lifting mechanism, how on earth you could accidentally damage the inner but not the outer part is beyond me. Won’t be buying anything Minky (Manky) again.

The products from Minky are really good. Not the same for their couriers when they leave a parcel at a neighbours. What they fail to advise is which one. After contacting Customer Services they advised for me to check with my neighbours. Extremely unhelpful. It is the sellers responsibility to ensure I receive my product not mine to go checking random houses.

Really disappointed with service

Really disappointed, tried to place an order for 3 days and items were clearly instock but wouldn’t go through. After some investigation it turns out that the items I was trying to order had been promoted by an influencer that same day and the website couldn’t cope with the volume of traffic going through it. I mailed minky directly only to be told the item was out of stock (which I already knew) and I was sent a link to order a completely different product. No apologies made from the company.
It’s great that companies want to sell products via influencers but they should make sure that they have enough product and the website is stood up to deal with the traffics. REALLY DISAPPOINTED that it was all about the money and not customers

Not Very Happy !

I have purchased an item from this firm. I still have not had the item, you try to contact them they cut you off, no customer care whatsoever.
Their delivery firm is just as bad, have no phone
contact at all.
Give them a miss !!
