Attended last week for my routine check up and everything went smoothly and professionally.
I received a number of reminders about my appointment, the dentist was very thorough and explained everything she noticed about my teeth, gums and mouth in general.
I came away feeling reassured for another 12 months 🤞.

Professional, Welcoming and friendly. Always looked after properly, and helped when needed. As a disabled person my appts are always on ground floor. The place is spotlessly clean and I love the building, as they have kept many original features and they mix well with the modern touches. Most of my family are patients at the Wellington practice. Would definitely recommend it.

PROFITEERING before patient care.
I need a tooth extraction, so you go on the nhs.uk website.
Many dentists come up, and states they are taking new patients, adults entitled to free treatment.
So you ring them. Their scripted answer phone message whilst you wait in a que tells you they are accepting new patients, so people hold. When answered the TRUTH is they are only taking NEW PATIENTS if you pay for it. So totally misleading the public with their advertising and voice messages whilst on hold.
So I ask how much will it cost to have a tooth extracted? Now they have this new terminology. A ‘Pain appointment’ is £135 I actually do not currently have any pain. On top of this additional money making scam, an extraction is then FROM £170. So my dentist will charge at least, at least £305 to take a tooth out.
These dentists need investigating fast, just like VETS DO.
THE DENTISTS RESPONSE.
General pre scripted response. Nothing will change they will still keep you hanging on, and hanging on when you ring them, with their recordings saying they are accepting new patients, why do they deceive people, they just need to ADDwe are not currently accepting any new NHS patients, but if you have loads of money, we will gladly help you.

My Dentist group are simply taking advantage of the broken dentistry system.
I have gone to my branch for over 25 years in Heaton Moor, Stockport. Not long after covid i was forced on a dentist pay monthly plan with no explanation about my NHS patient access. I assumed the dentist was going private, So i took out this so called plan....... but the dentist was not going private, It is simply a way to get more patients in for maximum profit. So i gave up my NHS place at this dentist as this was not explained you loose your NHS entitlement by taking the plan out. The girls on the check in are ok but its not got the vibe it used to have. All the owner dentists have now gone or sold out & is now run by yet another multi billion pound company as a sideline(MyDentist group)
I have not needed much treatment in the last few years but my visit last month with a new dentist(Funny enough) i needed £1500 worth of work. This group is just here to make money out of the system & do not care as the system is broken. As i pay private i can go to another practice so from now on i will be. I know where some of the original dentists now work so i have joined their practise. Why have we allowed this to happen?

I went to the padiham branch as an NHS emergency.
After waiting 30 minutes I was in the room and told the dentist what happened etc.
After 15 seconds she or he said I would be referred to the NHS and to wait for contact. He/she said none of my teeth were broken! I was gobsmacked.
I had already taken pictures attached home so this must be a blind dentist!
Its been 4 months now and nobody's contacted me!
Nhs patients are in my experience processed like trash nobody at the practice has time for yet expect full payments from the NHS or government!
I wasted my time going here.
The only thing that came out of this encounter was wasting time for 111 to answer. Going to Padiham and wasting my time.
Waiting to be seen and then dismissed in less than a minute.
Nhs should not pay these dentists for foboff ghost appointments!
It is negligence on part of the dentist and the practice as the utmost and prime concern must be the patients health and well being.
NOT GET THEM IN GET A SIGNATURE THEN THROW THEM OUT UNTREATED!
My appointment was dental appointment reminder for 12 Feb at 15:00.

I visited Carcroft Doncaster practice, the delightful and friendly reception staff so helpful and professional. My dentist Ines and her dental assistant Zoe always put me at my ease, fully explaining and talking me through the procedure. Their approach and quality of work is excellent and would highly recommend.

I have been a patient at this practice for around 57 years, It used to be such a lovely practice all the staff were warm friendly and helpful, this cannot be said since the takeover to my dentist. My son is autistic and suffers extreme anxiety, obviously during Covid he didn’t visit so when I came to make an appointment for him I was told no he doesn’t have a dentist asked why? He missed 9 appointments they said which he absolutely did not, I spoke to different staff members all equally rude until one day I went in and noticed a diffferent/new staff member she was so helpful and managed to get my son an appointment, I don’t want to name her as I feel she would possibly have repercussions. I feel like they want to get rid of non paying nhs patients because all they seem to care about is profits. My very elderly father has been at this practice for around 60 years and in his last couple of years of life had a terminal illness, he didn’t make any appointments because he was embarrassed that he wasn’t able to get up the front steps into the surgery, there are no provisions for disabled patients which in this day and age is shocking. My mum is 93 on her last visit they wanted her to pay for her next visit up front this is absolutely disgusting they need to put patients before money. Now Gordon Jeffries has gone I shan’t be going there he was a really lovely caring dentist, I was always nervous and he would just chat and make you feel totally at ease very sad he’s gone. This review is my dentist Heaton moor road, Stockport.

Doctor Anthony Walsh carried out an initial assessment for a course of treatment for a crown for my wife Marion today, with the work scheduled to begin in July.
In conversion with Dr Walsh, I discussed the trials that are due to commence with CPAP and MAD Combinations later this year at Papworth.
Doctor Walsh was aware that Royal Papworth Hospital is actively conducting trials to see if combining Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) with a Mandibular Advancement Device (MAD) can lower the pressure required for effective treatment, thereby increasing comfort and adherence.
As I was diagnosed with Chronic Sleep Apnoea in 1998, I am hoping to be invited to be part of these trials as a patient. I was encouraged by the knowledge and detailed experience that Doctor Walsh demonstrated in relation to the benefits and potential issues that could result from this type of treatment and use of MAD devices.
I would thoroughly recommend Doctor Anthony Walsh to be put forward as a recognised and approved dentist to assist and advise patients referred through from Papworth and Kings College London for MAD referrals.
Dr Anthony Walsh's approach to patient trust and care is commendable and his professionalism is excellent.

I originally left a review due to frustration with the appointment booking process and difficulties contacting the practice by telephone.
However, following my review, the practice manager took the time to personally investigate my concerns and respond in a prompt and professional manner. They apologised for the confusion, arranged alternative appointments, and clearly explained the situation.
While I still feel there is room for improvement with communication and appointment availability, I appreciate the effort made to resolve the issue and the willingness to listen to patient feedback.
Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns. Based on the response and the action taken, I am happy to revise my rating accordingly.
