Faultless service from Kirsty at NewLaw
Fantastic help from Kirsty Hopkins at NewLaw (now Octopus) kind, patient, professional, highly knowledgeable and efficient. It made such a difference to have someone dealing with my late Dad’s affairs who inspired full confidence and trust and was so easy to deal with. Very much appreciated and could not recommend her more. We could easily have paid more elsewhere (I did my research) but I cannot imagine receiving a higher quality of service.

Abysmal probate handling
This is not the main review page for NewLaw! They direct you to this one to cover up the 2 star rating on their main page. NewLaw have handled probate for my mothers estate the past 8 months. Farewill did us the grace of passing on my business. They have been slow, unresponsive and difficult to deal with. Our first case worker has since left and she didn't seem to know what she was doing. We then got passed to someone else. And now the whole firm has been passed over to Octopus. I just want the admin wrapped up to get on with my life. My mother left her estate in perfect order and they have made such a pigs ear of it it makes me feel sad all the work she did to try to make things easy. Also shame on Farewill to promote 5 star services when they blatantly are not.

My experience with NewLaw Solicitors, particularly with Probate Case Manager Sophie Higgins, was excellent. The firm successfully secured the Grant of Probate for my late grandfather's estate, and Ms. Higgins provided expert assistance and responsive communication throughout a complex and often stressful process.

Probate made very easy
The solicitor allocated to me for Probate was both helpful, knowledgeable and completed all paperwork that I required quickly and with minimum time waste. I had looked to do the probate myself as I had been quoted well over £20k elsewhere, but with help from the Newlaw solicitor we completed the process at a fraction of this cost. I would not hesitate to use this service again.,
