Worst living experience in London
When I arrived at Nido, the room I booked was very dirty, there were still items belonging to the previous person like expired food on the ground. I found cockroaches in the room and immediately asked to change the room. The Nido Team, which was the most unprofessional team I’ve ever seen, told me I had to upgrade of room and pay more than 1300£ because there were no standard rooms available. I also found someone to rent my room and Nido took 80% of the money I should have received and they threatened me to bring me to the Court.
I should have definitely stayed at another place and I will never recommend this place! I don’t care to pay 1300£ monthly as soon as the service is there. But when it’s expensive and you’re threatened, nothing is cleaned, and you’re in an environment surrounded by cockroach, just run away !
Missing deposit, lack of communication, price does not justify the accomodation
- Unbelievable the lack of communication from their side when it comes to my deposit. Still waiting after I moved out two months ago, to get my deposit back. No reply from their side, to the point I’m seeking legal advice to get my money back. Other residents are dealing with the same issue.
- Fire alarm went off at random hours of the days, disrupting people their sleep, studies or free time. Unnecessary and lost time for the local fire department to show up multiple times a month.
- Left my kitchen utilities for 5h in a common kitchen, to found out cleaning staff threw away all my brand new stuff in the trash. ( Luckily management reimbursed my stuff after 2.5 months back and forth e-mailing).
- Company portrays themselves with values such as sustainability and ecology, yet students weren’t allowed to donate stuff. The amount of brand new stuff you could find in the trash was outstanding. The usage of excessive and useless heating and electricity of the building also contradicts their values.
- Their app claims Nido organizes weekly monday breakfasts and friday movie nights, never seen that happening.
- The gaming nook and play area, is also just some cheap marketing. You need to rent a gaming console for a high price in order to use the gaming nook. The dartboard was completely broken and the pingpong table always was missing some stuff.
- When I moved in, I found cigarette butts in my window frame, a lot of dust, a leaking toilet, clogged hair in the bathroom and used toilet paper under my matress. Left over sauces in the fridge from the previous resident. For paying 8.600 DKK/month you expect atleast to be checked in a clean room.
- Don’t be misled by all the positive reviews, they ask their residents multiple times to write reviews in order to win cash prizes. Ofcourse, no one will write a bad review during their stay because high-likely the residents will feel they won’t make a chance to win money.
Positive remarks ( although they heavily outweigh the negative sides).
- The rooftop is amazing.
- Frontdesk was nice and polite and resolve quickly any problems that occurred during my stay.
- The gym was small but effective.
- The room was comfortable, black out curtains were the best, kitchen/bathroom were small but convenient.
- I met some awesome fellow residents during my stay and Nido did organize a rooftop party once which was amazing.
Already an expensive place
Already an expensive place, this year a utility charge which was added without any notice, no transparency on what that charge will be used for. Money grabbing as the prices are already 3 to 4 K over other places.
Receptionist and laws
One receptionist, Michelle, was very rude, she did not had the kidness to approach with people. She was not patient to treat with foreign people who may not know about the laws in Ireland.
Also in the accommodation you work with people from other countries and the laws are very different, so you can tell people about the 28 days notice when you want to move out.
Nido Bryggen
I'll update this review after my deposit has been returned. Its taken 10 weeks but yet to receive it.
Aside from the deposit experience. It's actually a nice place in a good location across the road from the South campus of the University of Copenhagen. The city centre is a 10 minute bike ride. The furnishings and facilities are good. The all concrete flooring, walls etc... keeps the unit warm through winter without any need for heating. Its clean and welcoming.
Not sure if delays in deposit refunds is a Danish custom or just a Nido inefficiency. But it sure is annoying.

Fully equipped, good sound insulation, good and efficient front desk service. If something breaks, have a professional come and fix it. Live comfortably.

Hi!!! My time here was difficult and the people who work there was a little rude!!
So, I think several problem like a laundry it’s a responsibility of the staff and they told me there wasn’t nothing to do for fix my problem!
I don’t know! But I think when you are new in bother county for first time and even in a foreign language they could more empathy with us.
When I arrived there my heater wasn’t working that night and I told her but she doesn’t nothing for trying for it and I had sleep with cool for that reason and the new day I had insist for the people saw the problem and in that moment they come at my room and fix the heater!!!!

I mistakenly made a booking for the wrong date, and was told I couldn't change it. Now I've lost my deposit because they couldn't give me the date I want, and it's non refundable

My experience at Nido Broga was very positive. The staff was very helpful and always willing to help with whatever trouble that appeared. The room was very confortable with enough space for all my stuff and more, I must emphasize the desk and chair provided as the former was quiet spacious and the later was of good quality.
The installations overall where really good, although a couple more appliances would have been great, what was provided was enough for all our cooking needs. The spaces outside and terrace where great to meet up or simply have a breather with little to no disturbances.
The location was superb, being 10 mins from the City Center and on the main road with many busstops nearby makes the moving around much easier.

The staff was really nice and was always helpful and quickly to reply. I really liked the study rooms and the gym as they were both very convenient. Everything was new in the apartments, however, the quality of most furniture and kitchen items is questionable. Both of our hobs were not working properly after 2 or 3 weeks, we reported this but until I left end of April they were not replaced and we had to cook with only one side on each hob working. This was kind of disappointing for the price that we are paying. Other than that the location was very nice because it was a 5 minute walk to UCC.

I love the management in general . The rooms are comfortable and the aesthetics are awesome . I do wish the hobs weee different and there were dish racks but overall it’s a wonderful place to stay .
