Where to start a lot of trouble
Where to start, first something good, the building has really good public spaces. The communal kitchens are quite good and there are several common rooms in the basement to meet with other students over a beer. The downside is that almost nothing works properly, from flooding in the GYM, which caused the water to stop running for 3 hours, to daily fire alarms! Up to 4 fire alarms on one day and the management still can't get the fire alarms to stop after more than 3 months. (There must have been more than 40 so far) Then you get stuck in the lift, which has happened to me 3 times now. If I were to list all the things that don't work, the list would be long and for such a high rental price, it's unacceptable. So far, simply not worth recommending.
I know that parts of the team are really trying to do better, but it is still not recommended at the moment.

Baad experience
Was acctualy very good until they changed the managment in the building . During a water problem they entered my room without my permission and since then I have a feeling they are trying to get rid of me . Veroni the new manager wants me to pay a receipt for 1000€ for cleaning the pipes that were done without my permission are the responsiblity of the house not the tenant and naccording to google cleaning the pipes normally costs 50-100€ . She also didn’t send me the documents for the damage despite asking for them multiple times and threatens me during my exam period which she is aware of to clean the room from the damage caused by water despite it being the houses responsibility to have all pipes clean . Lack of understanding and cooperation from new house manager Veroni which any future tenents should be warned of
Worst service by Nido Appartment ( Halle)
Hello Everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. I am Paras Gaba. I am staying in Nido Appartment Halle ( saale) Germany from Last 2 years. The service of Halle Nido is getting worse day by day. From Last 1 week i am facing bed bugs Problem in my appartment. I contacted Hausmesiter and he told to have a Chemical treatment to kill bed bugs. He told the treatment in total will be done 3 times and it will be done every 3 weeks once. My first treatment was done on 14 June 2022. He told me that after the treatment you should clean your appartment with vaccum and than you can stay in your room and than next treatment will be done on 5 July. After cleaning the whole appartment still there are lot of bedbugs in my room. Its very risky to stay in the room as these bed bugs are quite dangerous. I told him about this and he said i cant do anything else just take vacuum cleaner from me and clean it again. As i am a student i go daily to Universiry and work so it is quite risky but he is not understanding the depth of the situation. From Last one week i am staying at friends place , i asked him to give a room for shorter period until the situation is completly resolved but he said there are no empty rooms. At this point i am completly feeling helpless and irritated. As we pay a lot of rent and we are not getting any service which they should provide us. I urge to the nido managment to look in to the matter ASAP and solve this issue. For future i would really not recommend anyone to go for the Nido appartment as it is not worth staying here at all!
I lived in Haigh court in Liverpool for…
I lived in Haigh court in Liverpool for two years. At the beginning, the on site manager Lee was friendly but gradually he became mean and rude to me because one thing happened. Nido decided to refurbish the rooms in Haigh court between 2020-2021, so they asked me to move to another side of the building from my original room. What I had paid for was a premium en-suite but they moved me to a standard en-suite which means a smaller room without any compensation. I was angry and went to reception and try to argue for my own rights. But the manager told me that he didn’t have enough big room so someone has to go to small room. But because I was new to the country at that time, I didn’t know how to protect my own rights. So all I could do was arguing in a loud voice. But the manager Lee got really impatient and pissed off. He just kept yelling at me. I told him that I should get a bigger room and my future roommates were all boys who like smoke very much which made me very uncomfortable. But he kept blaming me that I was not inclusive ! After this argument, I was very irritated but also hopeless. In order to get a bigger room, I ask another stuff to help me to express my apologies for speaking in a loud voice to him at that time, which I shouldn’t . And he said sorry to me afterwards and moved me to a slightly bigger room which is not as nice as my original one. I thought everything should finish there but it didn’t.
After I moved into the new room for several months, my key couldn’t open my flat door. I went to the reception again, and told them that my key couldn’t work anymore. What Lee did wasn’t trying to figure out the problem but blaming me again! He tried to blaming that I didn’t reported the problem when the construction team was still in the accommodation. The the fact was the problem occurred after the construction team leaving. But Lee wasn’t going listen what I explained, he was just keeping blaming me…
This was happened one year ago, but it has given me a metal abuse. I was just an international student and has no relatives in the UK. So when those things happened, I didn’t dare to fight against and apologized to the thing which wasn’t my fault.
I still give 2 stars her because some other Nido stuff is still friendly. Especially the staff working the night shift. And Nido had nice policy for summer stay.
One of the best accommodations
One of the best accommodations in the city centre. Had a comfortable & safe experience. Staff are friendly and available 24/7. Has a decent gym, cinema room & lounge area with a lot more private spaces for study. Nothing better for a student to ask for.

Amazing, friendly accommodation
I really enjoyed staying at St James for many reasons. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile. The location is amazing! Staying so central means I have everything on my doorstep such as university, shops, bars bus and train stations etc. What sets St James apart is the commitment to building a social calendar for residents, there is plenty opportunity to make friends with other residents.

A welcoming environment
One of the positive things about Nido is that students from all over the world come here to live here, and I've made some lifelong friends I wouldn't have met if I hadn't had come here. The location of Nido is ideal, as it is close to a variety of transport links and universities, and is close to the city centre without being situated in a noisy area. My advice to anyone looking to move here would be to try and take the opportunity to make friends with as many people as possible (especially if moving into a studio), and make good use of the common room area!

I spent one year in Nido Haymarket and I am very glad that I chose it. It’s so nice and lovely. Very quite during daytime and safe at night. Very close to lidl, coop and a Chinese food shop. The manager is super friendly that she can help you with every problem here in Nido Haymarket.
A Nice and Quiet Accomodation
A nice and quiet student accomodation. The location of the accomodation is placed strategically and makes all of my trips into walking distances. Great friendly staff members that tended to my inquiries and maintenance requests. Overall, a nice student accomodation located in a great location with great living space.
Pls fix the internet and the dryer
The internet is very bad and the second dryer isn't working at all but still keeps the money
Great place to stay
I really enjoyed my stay at Nido St James and would live there again if I had the opportunity. It was kept tidy and is in a great location that is within walking distance to Buchanan street and next to the Strathclyde library/gym. They also had a variety of amenities, study spaces and events throughout the year. The staff and management were super friendly and helpful too!

Convenient
Nido St James is a friendly place for students. It's safe and convenient. It's right beside Strathclyde University and 10 min walking distance from the city centre.
The management team is very cooperative and friendly.
One observation for future development is the Laundry. The washing machines aren't that good and costly.
Amazing new manager
My son is a tenant in Garden Studios Berlin, since 2017. The place has recently been renovated and the new manager is amazing! Always there, taking care of all issues ASAP, answers the emails very quickly, very friendly and doing an excellent job. The place is amazing and the apartments are bright and very comfortable!
Nido Students
I'm new at Nido Students but I've been taken through a visit and now I've booked a room. The service is incredibly helpful and answers any question with patience. The rooms themselves are bright and you can take most of your personal stuff with you if you move in. Excellent service and also nice and fast Check-in.
Beautiful flats/rooms and great location
I stayed here 2019/20 and it was amazing. The staff were incredibly helpful, even during COVID and the pandemic they were great. I was one of 6 in a flat and the rooms were all individually perfect. Desk, window, en suite, radiator, plenty of plugs. I couldn’t ask for more. The gym was ideal, I loved it. Cinema room, I loved it. Unfortunately we missed the re-booking deadline for a group of 6 but I miss Nido Newcastle an awful lot. The Location was great too, few minutes walk to the campus and city centre just ahead of 5-10 minutes. Thanks for the memories.

Great place to stay
Great place to stay. Many congratulations to the staff of Nido Glasgow, it was all wonderful. One of the best experiences.
Top location close to all amenities!
I stayed at Nido Haymarket during 2020/21. The location of the residence is superb, right next to train station, tram and bus stops and surrounded by supermarkets, post office and a number of restaurants. The staff have been accommodating of my needs at all times, they make an excellent team and go out of their way to help all residents - it is clear resident satisfaction and wellbeing is a priority.
I stayed in a premium studio and benefitted from a promotion which was applied to my final rent instalment that was advertised on the website at the time of booking. The rooms offer a good amount of storage (under bed, wardrobe, desk drawers etc) and the ensuite bathroom is also rather spacious. Any email queries or maintenance request were always dealt with promptly.
I have to give 4 stars overall as I did have a few issues with noise from other residents during unsociable hours but this was dealt with swiftly. I also sometimes found the cleanliness not always up to scratch in areas such as communal stairs, the laundry room and the external rubbish area where not all residents are mindful of disposing their waste correctly which does attract seagulls to waste bags which contain food (however the bins are emptied very often which is great!).
Regardless, I would not hesitate to recommend the residence to anyone looking for student accommodation in a central location and would also advise arranging a viewing to get a better feel of room sizes.
Excellent.
I have been with Nido Student for two years now. I initially moved into Boyce house in Glasgow as an international student when it was opening in 2019/2020. This was my first time living in the UK.
I received the warmest welcome from Andrew, Lindsey and Jamie who really made me feel at home. The staff have been outstanding, extremely patient and kind with any questions or worries I had. I cannot speak highly enough of them and it really makes a difference at the end of a long day. I really enjoyed the time I spent there and they really do go above and beyond to cater to students studying there.
The rooms themselves are of outstanding value especially as I can recommend their events, social spaces, group study spaces, and gym space. Any problems with the room were fixed in a timely manner and help with cleaning is available - again to the highest standards by people who genuinely want to help. The locations, particularly St James, is within easy access to the University of Strathclyde and all its facilities.
I managed to get into St James second year but due to the complications of covid, I remained in Malaysia to pursue my studies online. Complications related to lockdowns over here in Malaysia were sorted with ease by all persons at St James.
There are so many good reasons to stay here. Value for money. Facilities. Location. Community areas where you can study or mix with other students.
However, for someone who was entering a new environment, I have to highlight once again the staff. You really feel looked after here by everyone and that makes a huge difference to make sure you can get the most out of your university experience.
