I'll Bu11Sh1te your none stars!!!!

I'd like to say I've read and reviewed all previous comments to this post, but I'm still happy to go along with origin as my pre quote from all other companies wanted an extra £50 from me and that's not including the phone line installation charge!!!Plusnet took £75 off me before they even posted the router!!! Origin have been nothing but nice, foregoing people to me this far, especially the person I spoke to....a Mr Craig Barnish, a local person to me who was extremely friendly and forthcoming on the line, made me feel relaxed and totally at home whilst speaking to him!!! I'm yet to get this service off them, but when I do....I hope to give them the 5 stars I have already accredited to them!!!!

Origin Broadband are very bad.

Origin Broadband are very bad, speeds up one minute a down the next, will not work up in the bedroom 15 feet away, going to send a letter to Origin.If I could give a 0 out of 10 I would.

Worst

Worst, worst, worst provider. Zero customer service, the lock you into a contract and when their service doesn't work (which it never does) they will not release you or refund you. Please, run a mile from this ridiculous company. Go with anyone else, just not Origin!

I gave origin almost 4 weeks notice…

I gave origin almost 4 weeks notice that I wanted to begin using their BB and they promised that I would be connected by the date agreed. They failed to connect or inform because their operator recorded my email address incorrectly. I had entered my email address several times on their chatline. Origin then took almost 4 months to refund mu £17.99 despite many emails and phone calls. An incompetent service and very poor customer service. Avoid!

Worst customer service

I had poor or no service for 3 months
I was promised 3 mos free service then i was chronically messed about please do not let this conpany treat you this way ive now switched after trying to chase my compensation up from jan to now with them avoiding it and me ive gone to ee and ive also opend a case with the ombudsmen they then tried to hit me with cease charges but i never re contracted so there a joke :) please avoid

First week was a bit groggy but after…

First week was a bit groggy but after some help with the customer service we have been up and going with no issues. Very helpful staff, I spoke to Kerry who helped me with my home move, she was very enthusiastic an genuinely felt like she wanted to help.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless, I've only just moved to Origin from Sky and what a joke it is. The router doesn't give out a strong enough signal to serve anywhere in my home, therefore I need to use a wired connection. Without fail the router goes down at any busy point and stays down for over an hour. When trying to discuss a problem you have rude call centre staff and a useless online chat

Great experience with Nick from Customer Service

Great experience with customer service. Had issues which were unresolvable by Origin as it was an Open Reach issue, but they organised the repair for me and offered me a good will gesture on my next bill for the inconvenience. I was speaking to Nick who was fantastic and made the entire process easy to understand and helped move my account to a new property also! Massive thank you to Nick and Origin!

Regularly no access, many times a day.

Been with them for a few months now, completely unreliable connection. Either the router says it needs to be authorised, despite not working when I do, or it jist plain doesn't have any internet connection.
Spent almost a week solid to them on useless live chats, had to redo all the settings myself 3 times and still no dice.
Today: they admit on their fb page that their have been nationwide issues ( no access for at least a few hours) and it is sorted "just reboot your router"... Still nothing.

Absolutely shocking broadband

Absolutely shocking broadband, does not give the estimated speed at all and continues to cut out/ stop working. Constantly using my mobile data. Pointless having this internet and they do not seem to rectify any issues. Do not recommend

The worst internet provider on the planet

I contacted them to make our internet better as we were getting between 4.6 and 5.6msph via live chat and after going through all the crap with the robot and then Bethanny who I also think is a robot I got someone else then Connor. He said that he would change Our speed so we would get a 12.9mbps connection and to wait 5 minutes and restart the router. 30 minutes and we still had no internet at all. Calling them I got through to a customer service agent even though I had pressed Tech support who had no clue what I was talking about as Connor had left no notes what so ever on the system nor could she run a test on our internet as we had none. Well no that's why I called !!!!! She informed me that someone from the technical department would call within 24 - 48 hours. 48 hours later not a word still no internet and their lines are closed even though their website claims they are open. The worst internet provider on the planet stay clear at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Worst ISP EVER

I have been with them for 18 months now. As a former Internet Service Provider CTO myself I am more than tech savvy and know what to expect of an ISP.

Apart from Brian, their tech support is useless. I've had numerous outages that "would be resolved the next day" because of course their support finishes at 8:30pm. After that there is not even a ticket system to log incidents.

It took weeks to get the router I had ordered finally delivered, weeks to get moved to the proper line and speed (and only when I threatened to cancel) and even after that the downtimes were frequent and the speed not great. When I threatened to cancel for service not fulfilled I got told I would have to pay a ludicrous exit fee (over 2000 pounds) by the level 1 lady. Even that they couldn't get right.

I had purchased a fixed IP option which got activated 6 months in the contract after I talked to the aforementioned Brian. He also enforced the "commercial gesture" promises I had been made but had never seen happen, which was a refund of the months the fixed IP service wasn't delivered, plus a £10 off my next bill for all the troubles.

With COVID-19 the need for a reliable Internet connection is even stronger than usual. This evening they have a router or firewall issue meaning some web sites are unaccessible. I have to switch to my 4G provider (thank goodness for Three) to access my own web sites. There is no status page on their site and no way to open a ticket or talk to a 24/7 support team.

Utterly useless. Oh and they don't even provide you with proper invoices.

My 18 months are over, I have already signed with another ISP, waiting for delivery now (two months delay due to COVID-19). Two months during which I'm going to cross my fingers daily hoping that nothing breaks.

Could this be the great customer service I have been hearing about on your advertising rhetoric.I sent an email to you which your admin blocked for unacceptable language or phrases like "exercise my 14 day right" or perhaps the word "cancel" was inappropriate to you but certainly not to me! I was mis sold this package as the first question I asked was "IS IT FIBRE" and I was told it was and I am not sure how you manage to restrict fibre down to 3 - 5 MBPS
