No stars would be appropriate, wish I’d seen these reviews before I bought the jumpers. Quality dreadful and sizes vastly smaller than advertised (large would fit a small adolescent)

Again like others wish i had come here…

Again like others wish i had come here first. Total Tat. Tried to return within 30 day returns. Kept getting asked for photos and reason time and again. It was all delaying tactics. Eventually told i was now outside their returns policy despite contacting them 2 weeks with in it. AVOID AVOID. Never buy from them. Even Amex the credit card company have been fooled by them and returned their money. Disgusting on all accounts even the card company.

REPLACE YOUR BANK CARD

If you have paid by debit card or similar for the love of all the gods GET A NEW CARD SENT out to you.
Don’t think it’s a company that has credibility and would never use your details. It can go from 0 to 100 really quick. Better to be safe than sorry. As you can see by all the other reviews here they clearly have no scruples in cheating you.
Call your bank tell them your details might have been compromised. They will tell you what to do.

I’m not saying they have stolen my details and taken money without my consent. What I am saying is Iv given them a possible way for them to do that in the future. I for one am really unhappy with this arrangement and have made it so my money is safe again. ( just to keep the lawyers happy)

DO NOT BUY

Like everyone else is saying DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, they are china based even with the name Oxford Fashion. Cheap Tat
They've been very pleasant via email taking into account they're about 7 hours in front of uk. Its just not feasible to send a 1.2kg jacket back to china. It cost £60 and it'll cost £35 to send it back. I've tried to get cheaper but couldn't.
Revised review. They've not been too bad to deal with. They've replied to all my emails, they've reimbursed my purchase money. Quite honourable actually. I managed to get parcel through parcelforce for £27.50, so basically it's cost me £27.50 for stupidly buying from them. Because they've returned my money I'm going to give them an extra star but please, DO NOT BUY.

TOTAL RIP OFF. STEER CLEAR!

They advertised the garment I bought as a leather jacket but it was vinyl and truly horrible. I got the same partial refund offer as others have described. When I refused that they said they could refund me so long as I posted the jacket to an address in China at my own expense. Fortunately, I'd paid by credit card so was able to get the payment stopped.

If I could give it -10 Stars I would

If I could give it -10 Stars I would

Bought 2 items, 1 was ok the other was not as described and the shape, material was terrible, sewing and quality, so I started the returns process, the returns process was a joke, Initially they offered me 2 options
1. to choose another product for only £9.90 or 2. a partial refund of 20%.
In the end I gave up and accepted a 25% of the purchase price as a refund.

My advice would be to Stay away and do not buy from them as they are totally misleading

Masquerading as a UK Company. Your UK consumer rights are denied.

I ordered 2 garments from this store "Born out of Oxford Street" (see their website .) The two dresses, described as midi dresses, measured 36" from nape to hem. The dress fits 4 inches above the knee rather than calf-length as might be expected from a Midi dress. The sleeve was set in, in such a way as to restrict forward arm movement, with no give in the fabric. In addition the pocket lining was not stitched at the bottom and seams were puckered here and there. The image and description which persuaded me to buy the dresses did not accurately reflect the colour, the low quality of the fabric, and the length of the delivered garments. Thinking I was buying from a UK firm I was confident that UK consumer laws would apply. The garment was not as described and not fit for purpose. However my request to return the garments for a refund resulted in them offering me a 20% refund of my £50 and I get to keep the garments. Or, I can give them another £10 of my money and they will send me one in a different size. This apparently saves me from damaging the planet by returning the goods to China.Sadly they will be damaging the planet by going straight into landfill because I do not think a charity shop here would be able to sell them.

Wish I'd read the reviews here first

Wish I'd read the reviews here first. Exactly same happened to me. While clothes look OK, they aren't worth the money. Tried to return as too short in the leg and they only wanted to refund 25% of the money.
I'm very dubious about the 5 star ratings here as well. There's no substance to them - are they genuine?

I ordered some cargos

I ordered some cargos , I waited 6 weeks and when I recieved them they completely got the order wrong and sent me the wrong size , They offered to send me a replacement , then sent me the email below
Hi Mike,

Thank you for sending over the photos, and I truly apologize for the inconvenience caused by receiving the incorrect size. I completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially after the wait.

To swiftly rectify this situation, we are more than happy to send you a new package with the correct size, XL, at no additional cost. replacement order?
we'll get this resolved as quickly as possible.
I excepted the mistake and waited for the replacements !!! Then I recieved this email

Dear Mike,

Thank you for your feedback. And please disregard our last offer, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

We strive to ensure our customers are fully satisfied, and I’d like to offer you a couple of solutions:

1. Exchange Option: You can choose another product or size for only £9.90.

2. Partial Refund Option: Alternatively, we can provide a 20% partial refund of the purchase price while you keep the items. By selecting this option, you’ll also be helping to reduce CO2 emissions and packaging waste, as it avoids the need for returns, which require additional trips and packaging.

Please let us know which option you prefer, and we’ll arrange the necessary steps to make it right.

With kind regards,

Oxford Fashion erodes consumer confidence in online retail

I purchased a jacket online on 23-Nov-24. By 13-Dec-2024, it had not arrived, so I requested its cancellation. I was informed that the order could not be cancelled and that another jacket would be dispatched. The item finally arrived 25 days after I placed the original order. To my dismay, the supposedly high-end fashion jacket arrived tightly rolled up and stuffed into a package more suited for a blanket. Upon opening the package and inspecting its contents, I found that the colour was different to that shown online and that the quality of the fabric was poor. Additionally, the press studs on the chest pockets were missing sockets. I immediately lodged a complaint via email to Oxford Fashion and advised that I had returned the item to the UK address from which it had been dispatched at my own expense. I was disappointed to find the item back on my doorstep 17 days later. It had been sent back to me because customer returns were not accepted at the UK address from which it had been despatched. I then emailed Oxford Fashion and was offered a 20% refund on the purchase. This was a perplexing deviation from their 30-day money-back guarantee policy, which states on their website: "After receiving your order, you have 30 days to decide whether to keep the product or return it effortlessly." I contested the partial refund and was told I would need to ship the item to an address in China at my own expense to secure a full refund.

So how many stars do I think Oxford-Fashion deserves? Like many others on TrustPilot, due to the product quality and as there is no option for no stars I am compelled to give it one star.

Simply put, customers do not want to be subjected to such treatment, nor should they be. I glean that Oxford Fashion deliberately employs a sales strategy of offering low-cost, inferior-quality and often defective clothing items that it advertises as high-quality merchandise. IT accomplishes this with:

1. The brand name "Oxford Fashion": This gives prospective customers the impression that the goods are of comparable quality to those sold on Oxford Street, London.
2. The online advertisements that showcase the items in their most appealing form: This reaffirms the notion of upmarket merchandise.
3. The promise of a 30-day money-back guarantee that appears on the main landing page: However, to obtain a full refund, the customer must return the goods to China at their own expense but this information does not appear alongside the statement of a 30-day money-back guarantee. It is found on the page detailing the refund policy.

Consequently, when prospective customers assume, in good faith, that the goods on offer will match the standard of quality presented online, they do not scour a website for signs of a rogue seller. Oxford Fashion capitalises on this and casts a wide advertising net by which to catch as many unsuspecting customers as possible. This strategy is bolstered by listing the goods as vastly discounted from their usual selling price, and induces customers to seize the opportunity for a supposed bargain. At the time of my ensnarement, this coincided with seasonal 'Black Friday' sales. Ultimately, these factors amount to false advertising.

From my own observation of the quality of the wares supplied, and from the other TrustPilot reviews, one might expect that Oxford Fashion fully anticipates that many customers will be dissatisfied and it factors this into its business model. A disappointed customer is likely to balk at the idea of sending their purchase-gone-wrong to China at their own expense. This allows Oxford Fashion to maintain a semblance of good customer service by offering a paltry 20% refund on the original purchase price that the customer is likely to prefer over the time, effort, and expense of returning the goods to China. By factoring in a 20% discount on some proportion of total sales, the executive management team at Oxford Fashion projects that this strategy will yield sustainable profits whatever its cost to customers' economic well-being.

Unfortunately, Oxford Fashion's reach is vast, transcending national boundaries and is limited only by individuals' access to the World Wide Web and social media platforms like Facebook that expose users to its advertisements. It follows that, to protect consumers from exposure to companies that unscrupulously pursue profits at the expense of individuals' well-being, regulators and consumer watchdogs should remain on high alert for companies of this nature, and should bar such companies from advertising on social media platforms. Unless these modern-day pirates are managed, they will run amok.

For UK consumers with such complaints, you can inform the UK International Consumer Center (UKICC) via their online contact form.

Poor quality, fake fabric, bad manufacturing

Same as another person - ordered corduroy dress - fabric imitation. Poor quality, nothing like the one depicted. Seams are puckered. So bad. For £30, a complete rip off. They have increased their refund offer to 30% of cost, which I do not accept. If something is faulty/not as described they should allow you to return without incurring cost and issue a full refund. Do not buy!
