Item Not Received But Got Full Refund

I used Parcl to arrange for someone in Russia to bid on an auction and send me the item if they won. They won the auction and allegedly sent the item to me but I never received it. Parcl refunded the cost of the item and the other fees associated with the transaction so even though I didn't get what I wanted I was still treated well by Parcl.

Highly Recommended - John Ron Peter - CE GROUP

I needed a $5 (US) part for my Corsair computer case. I was like cool, shouldn't be to hard to buy. WRONG! No store in the United States had it for sale, nor did they have it available in Europe. Then I see these stores in Australia... I'm like no way possible, so I contacted the computer part store and to my surprise, it was for sale! Problem was that they did not ship outside of the country, so that led me to Parcl...

I was extremely skeptical about this Parcl service as they wanted to order the package for me and then forward it to my location. I'm use to forwarding companies that give you an address to mail your items to and they forward it to your destination. I worried I was going to get stiffed twice, once for the price of the item and again for the shipping costs. Thankfully, Ron's (the person I was in contact with) was key to easing my purchasing fears.

He told me how to accept his offer in Parcl and then I paid via PayPal (I had some issues initial, more on that later), and I received a message from Ron that my goods were purchased. His constant communication was instrumental in keeping my nerves in check as he kept me inform of every update and even sent pictures of the item for verification prior to shipment. Simply outstanding work by this forwarding group!

With that said, I only had one problem with PayPal at the very beginning of this process. For some odd reason it did not want to approve payment to them, I got multiple errors, but somehow it went through and payment was exchanged for their services. Outside of that, it was a timely service and one I would highly recommend if there is that "must have" item situation which I found myself in. Great work guys.

Terrible service. AVOID!

This idea is great. The company is terrible. And customer service is a joke. After receiving repeated errors when attempting to pay, I followed the automaticity generated prompt to contact a moderator. There was even a checkbox for payment errors. I was contacted and told “payment is not handled by Parcl” and was told to contact my bank and PayPal, which is the only payment option. I did so and was told that everything on my end was fine, and the only explanation must be restrictions on the other end. I alerted Parcl to this explanation, and was told that I was wrong. And that if they were wrong then how could they operate. The issue was dismissed out of hand, and no attempt was made to resolve it. No help was given, no questions were asked. The only response was a very rude email, telling me it was my problem, not theirs. After responding, and saying as much, my account was deleted. And I was berated by their customer service representative. Clearly it is a smaller company who think they can respond on a personal level to customer issues. There is zero professionalism at this company.

In the future, we hope you take a less aggressive approach and we will do our best to resolve any issue. PayPal is the only method of payment on Parcl and its regulations vary. Payment issues can be related to your account or the forwarder's account. Most people are able to resolve this by contacting their bank or PayPal, other times a direct payment can be arranged if neither PayPal or the bank can provide a solution.

Excellent service, this is the third time I have used Parcl.com and find the site very easy to use, the package forwarders have always been really helpful with quick responses and this time is no exception - I will definitely be recommending them to everyone! Package arrived today, faster than estimated and in perfect condition. Will not think twice about using Parcl.com before in future, in fact learning more about the process has inspired me to think about becoming a package forwarder myself in the near future.

Got an offer. Then he changes the item saying it’s not available. Then shipped me half the product and would not refund. So it’s risky.

Great service

Great service. Very efficient, good value and post Brexit it seems to be the only way for UK consumers to receive goods from some EU companies who will no longer deliver direct. Will definitely use again and would absolutely recommend.

Don't expect your money back if your forwarder doesn't deliver.

I ordered some items via Parcl from USA, worth around 200 dollars. 10 months later, I've recieved none of the items I ordered. According to the forwarder, the items got lost during transit. When I contacted Parcl, this was their answer "Hi, this is a very old order at this point and Daniel has done everything in his power. Unless you want to go to court against shipping carriers for an order worth a couple hundred dollars, there is nothing else to do here, sorry for the misfortune. We will send the Parcl fee of $12.39 back to your PayPal tomorrow as a small consolation. Hope the next time you order, everything goes smooth. " So at this point I'm 200 dollars short, with none of the items I ordered.

EDIT: After leaving this review, Parcl cancelled the original request, and deleted my account. However, I still have screenshots of all conversations, and will report to both Paypal and my local Consumer Agency.

EDIT 2: Parcls answer: "Don't expect your money back if your forwarder doesn't deliver."

Hi, thats not how it works. Your orders are protected by PayPal up to 180 days. However, you let this order go long overdue and your forwarder did submit a claim with the carrier, but the insurance was only partial, so you received the corresponding amount. Letting the order go beyond 180 days was your choice. Since you don't appreciate any of this, farewell. "

The forwader was still allegedly dealing with the insurance claim as recent as 1 week back. I have all messages and will be in contact with Paypal. I assumed I had been unlucky with the forwarder this time, but considering Parcls responses, I will make sure to spread the word about Parcls customer service aswell.

If your forwader does not deliver, do not expect any reimbusement from Parcl, even if you paid for insurance.
If you want to get in contact with Parcl, use Trust Pilot, where you will find an angry little man trying to belittle those who leave negative reviews.

Hi, your orders are protected by PayPal up to 180 days. In this case, your forwarder shipped the order, but the carrier lost the goods. Your forwarder did submit a claim with the carrier, since you paid for partial insurance, you received the corresponding amount. The carrier denied additional compensation.

Parcl itself does not perform shipping or assume responsibility for delivering goods, this information is provided to all users before they register an account on the Terms & Conditions page. We do our best to make sure shoppers and forwarders follow good conduct and follow secure payment methods to eliminate the possibility of scams.

Please remember shipping carriers make mistakes. When they do, its important your orders are fully insured, otherwise they will deny full compensation.

honest review from a long time forwarder

hello everyone, i have been with parcl since 2017 and proceeded to deliver more than 500 items for them. looking at the good reviews here, i feel that it is my responsibility to let you all know how they are behind the scenes. basically, as you can see from their posts, they are in no form responsible for anything bad that happens to shoppers (and also forwarders).

over the course of the pandemic, they have not given any assistance or even support of any form to hardworking forwarders like myself and my peers. all the while they have been more than happy to collect their share of earnings. however, when any fraudulent customers decide to claim from paypal (this is the only advice parcl will give customers, as they are in no way capable to do anything), they will not help the forwarder in any way at all.

me and several of my peers have suffered losses for one or a few orders during the course of the pandemic and not once has parcl ever stepped in to provide support. the only thing they did was to add a ridiculous 'disinfection service' in december (9 months after the whole pandemic started). this alone shows you the level of ineptitude and lack of care they have for both forwarders and shoppers.

the platform is useful and a great idea in general, but the people who run the site (viktor in particular) show no ability whatsoever to communicate professionally, oftentimes condescends people, and just rude in general. not to mention that in several instances he had boldly claimed that without parcl, many forwarders would be nothing and therefore should be grateful that there is a platform like this exists in the first place.

this post probably won't be up long (the people running this site have extremely thin skin, and refuse to accept any feedback or criticism). but if you manage to get through to the end of this review just remember that the great reviews on here are wholly due to a forwarder's hard work (parcl plays no role in them), and the forwarders are neither informed nor congratulated when a happy customer decides to leave a generous review.

Parcl is one of the most progressive and brilliant services to come out of this era. It has made online shopping easier for someone like me who lives in Africa. I am able to buy items which do not ship to my country and ship them with the reliable and trustworthy service of Parcl.

Finally! A request service that works!

Great request service. You basically have someone in a different country or someone who can fulfill your request order your item(s) and send them to you.
Was a bit hesitant at first but after looking at the site, I gave it a chance.
First try was unsuccessful and my money was refunded due to payment complications for the item. Was no fault of anyone's as the shop only excepted a specific type of payment.
Decided to give it another shot few weeks later and after my first lesson, I accepted an offer from someone closer to the item.
There was no way I could get it and time was not on my side so thought, what the hell.
Was completely worth it. Parcl make the process nice and simple. The forwarder did everything requested and I received the item 2 weeks later which wasn't bad as it was stated on the profile the estimate time of receiving a parcel.
I'm thrilled though since as i've mentioned, the only way to get the item was to fly over to the country and buy it at the store and with the pandemic and costs etc, would have been a stupid move.
Customs tax was lower than usual as well... was really odd.

Fast Enough

Fast, efficient forwarding services commissioned through this site.

They are essentially a broker for package forwarding. The pricing is determined by quotes received through connected parties, and a brokerage fee applied by Parcl based of the % of total cost.

Many shippers offer services which allow you to have them purchase items for you in circumstances where you must be a national resident to purchase from an overseas vendor. As well as offering consolidation services to help reduce shipping on multiple items.

Parcl's commission is a little steep, given the user policy and the fact they seem to try to abscond from an responsibility. Kinda a little sketchy in that regard, so pick a reputable forwarding agent that you think you can trust. At least payments are done through PayPal for user security.

Personally I had no issue with delivery.

WARNING READ REVIEW!!! Parcel is 5STARS BUT,
THE "FORWARDER" - "Sher Tan" , is not too be trust and WILL play games with your hard earned money and if getting gift for loved ones it will leave them heart broken, I cannot afford to re-buy gifts for my daughters and this guy promised the world and left me Disputing the arrangement with PAYPAL, if I did not have PARCLs honesty and PAYPALS guarantee I would be without a refund and without my daughters 16th birthday present the present may not be here on time but at least I still can get her something and PARCL is going to be right there for my daughter.
