From time to time online shoppers experience a problem when they find something that they like at an overseas online store, but can’t get the item because the store doesn’t ship to their country. At such moments one would regret not having a friend or a relative living in the store’s country, who could help with shipping. This is where the new peer-to-peer service called Parcl comes in. It offers a solution for shoppers in need of help with international shopping and shipping by connecting shoppers and forwarders all over the world. Parcl is a human-powered service. It has two groups of users - shoppers and forwarders. If you need help with delivery or even with purchase, you become a shopper and create a delivery request. If you feel that you can help other people with international shopping and shipping, you register a forwarder account and start browsing shopper requests. Anyone can become a shopper or a forwarder, or even both. The overall idea of the service is to erase shipping barriers between countries and make the process of international shopping as convenient and safe as possible. The opportunity to connect with people from other countries or even make friends with them is just an added bonus.

First Time User, Im Sold!

I was a first time user, so I was a little skeptical. Everything went better than plan. My package arrived safe and on time. Great service. I highly recommend.

Very helpful and useful forwarding service

Very helpful and useful forwarding service.

Make sure you read the reviews of the individual you choose to forward your package, and make sure its a recent review. I had a very good experience shopping from Germany.

Fees are what you'd expect from ordering the package + for the effort of buying and shipping it. However, there are no recurring fees or hazzle of setting up a postbox with Parcl.

Would use again. :)

Lots of scamster forwarders on this platform!

Good:
-- If you transact with a good forwarder.

Bad:
-- Almost everything.
-- Parcel almost does nothing if there are problems between you and the forwarder.
-- Support is literally non-existent!
-- Ratings are unreliable. For example, *NEVER* use Eze Oji Dike -- he's a Nigerian scamster. He's got a Gold rating of 4.6 on Parcl, and I wonder how! So many complaints against him for non-deliveries, tampered packaging, stolen items, and using cheap freight services instead of DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc.
-- The entire experience boils down to the forwarder you deal with. I suggest only choosing to work with forwarders who have many reviews and also to work with those who have only 4.9 and above.

First Time using Parcl.com

This was my very first request using Parcl.com and overall I am satisfied and I received my Products as ordered. Here are some "Good" but also "Bad" things happened:

Good
- It was still a fast soltuion from the Day I found a buyer to the Day I received my goods even without using the "Priority Shipment" Service.
- The Shipper was so kind to make specific options I have chosen before Free of Charge such as "Additional Packaging" or "Product Photos" ...

Bad
- ... but this can also be a bad thing because now I never saw any Photos from my Order before shipment and it seems the package was just sent further to me after arrival from the original seller. This would make things extremely complicated if the original seller would ship a wrong product for instance.
- Shipping costs were too high in my opinion because it was promised to use DHL but instead a cheaper national Postal Service was chosen.

Please feel free to discuss it with the forwarder next time, as well as insisting to send you the product photos prior to the shipping. Avoid! Customer service will ignore you!

My experience with Parcl and John Ron Peter CE Group exactly mirrors that of Hannah,one star review Mar 26, 2020.
I submitted a request containing all the details needed (weight, size, cost, package consolidation) etc to John Ron Peter CE group (JR). They accepted the request, offering me 2 delivery options quoting a price for each. I choose expedited delivery and paid the price quoted. I then bought the goods and had them delivered to the address given by JR.
Upon first receipt JR claimed the package was incomplete, it was supposedly missing 1 of the 2 items and was repaired by Australia Post. Needless to say Australia Post, who supposedly had shipped an incomplete package and repaired it themselves, had no record of the parcel being incomplete at delivery. There is anecdotal evidence of multiple customers who have had their package due for delivery to this forwarder disappear or arrive incomplete. JR chooses to have the package delivered to a parcel locker despite his courier business premises being next door. That makes it very easy to claim the packages are missing or incomplete.
When all the items arrived after re-dispatch, JR increased the price, by $51USD from $83 to $134 claiming the package was oversized, this despite
1)The weight and size being exactly as I described BEFORE he made his offer
2)The shipping company he employed only charge for oversized packages when the dimensions exceed 140cm in this case the package was only around 36cm in length and 40cm in width
3) having made no effort to consolidate the package into the smallest possible
A picture of the package showed it was approximately 3 times bigger (by volume) than it needed to be. I am being charged for 16kg worth of freight, the packages I wanted shipped together weigh <6kg.
I asked JR to reduce the price or re-package into the smallest possible package or to send by non-expedited delivery. He flatly refused claiming I should have read his T&Cs.
I had read the T&Cs which is why I provided all the requisite info in the original request. There was simply no cause for JR to increase the price, its clear they had no intention of honouring the original price but quotes it to gain business.
Given JR was failing to uphold his side of the transaction I subsequently asked to process a refund as I no longer wanted to use their services.
JR demanded $40 to process a refund. It will simply not cost anything to process a refund as the package was already packed and could be dropped into a post office (50m from his premises) of a ParcelPoint drop-off (180m from his premises)
I contacted Parcl customer service, initially they claimed they would request JR to reduce the price of the refund. Instead they came back and said I should arrange my own refund. Bear in mind that at this point the package is held by JR in private premises and I have paid for the items and the original forwarding already as well as Parcl’s fees. I replied to the customer services email attempting to sort out the situation, they didn’t respond.
I sent subsequent emails on the 21st, 25th, 28th & 29th April and 5th, 8th , 16th and 26th May. They ignored every single one.
During this time I contacted NSW Fair Trading, they contacted both Parcl & JR. Parcl then refunded me the fees I paid them, that’s $15 USD, but they have still not responded with an explanation or apology. They're holding me to ransom
NSW FT does have the case on record so I would recommend that anyone who has had poor customer service from Parcl contact NSW FT, with my case and others reported hopefully the weight of cases of poor customer treatment will prompt Parcl into changing their ways.
JR's response to the intervention of NSW FT was to say I shouldn’t have contacted FT and to threaten to destroy my items if I refused to pay the ransom for the refund. I have now filed with New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal we'll see how this goes...

Great Experience With Parcl

Knowing that there is a guarantee if something goes wrong, and having all the options to select extra insurance, customs form to be filled etc. is a real plus. This was my first time using Parcl

This was my first time using Parcl or any mail forwarded for that matter. I was very nervous but desperately wanted a coat from France and the shop didn’t post to Australia. The process was complicated by COVID19 shutdowns and my package was stuck nearly 2 months in the post office in France. I thought it was lost but Jeff was able to reassure me by saying the post office shut the day after he posted my package and he had another customer with a package in limbo like me. The package finally arrived safely today and I am thrilled. It was worth the wait. I would be confident to use Parcl in the future.

Parcl has been a great forwarding website for me! All of my forwarders have been amazing and would highly recommend this site! I have gotten clothes from South Korea, China, and Malaysia from Kim, Oliver, and Bella. These forwarders are fast and reliable. They make sure you know the tracking number as soon as they send it and answer messages fast! Thank you Parcl!

Perfect experience

I was worried this was a scam, but I broke a glass in a set that wasn't available in the US anymore. The store did have it in stock in Dubai, but didn't ship to the US...enter Parcl. I got prompt, friendly, direct communication, assistance ordering the set of glasses I needed, and it shipped faster than some of my Amazon prime purchases. Highly, highly recommended. Everything arrived fast and in perfect condition. I can't believe this worked, but it did and I couldn't be happier.

Great mediator to bring forwarder and customer together, use Steven as your forwarder!

Honestly not a lot of experience using Parcl, but I was lucky on my first time and used Steven as my forwarder. He was a rockstar through a 5-month long acquisition process before the package could even be forwarded, and I thank my lucky stars I picked him because this process would have been a NIGHTMARE if I had gotten one with one iota less customer service minded.

Parcl served as a balanced and fair mediator for us to work with, keeping track of payments made through it and keeping me apprised of what Steven was doing on his end. It was always clear to me what I needed to do, or pay or sign off on.

Importing stuff from abroad always carries a risk, but if you're going to do it I recommend going through Parcl - and definitely using Steven as your forwarded. 100/100 points, even on a wildly difficult case like mine.

It's a legitimate site

Every forwarder will be different, but the one I chose always responded quickly to requests and comments. It took a while to get my package, but this wasn't the fault of the forwarder. This was mainly due to buying items from a different country and the time it took for the postal carrier to deliver. All my items were undamaged and in great condition. I'll definitely be using Parcl sometime again in the future.

Never sure if I was swindled

I used parcl to buy a Banksy Box Set in the Walled Off Hotel. I received a product but without any receipt. I could never be sure if the product was counterfeit or not. When I asked for the receipt, I didn't get any reply.
Besides this, Parcl.com rated automatically the shopper Dan Reznik with the highest ratings.
I want a repply from parcl.
Never again.
