Had an expensive Nikon DSLR camera sent to me from Wokingham Post office - never arrived. No tracking after initial drop-off at post office. Even now 20/2/26 RM tracking states: Your item was posted at Parcelshop, Wokingham Post Office [RG40 1AN] on 21-11-2025. More information will be available as it travels through our network. Looks like Royal Mail never actually received it from that post office! Anyone using that post office - beware!

Avoid Woolston PO - I was utterly disgusted with the…

Written on behalf of an elderly friend - I was utterly disgusted with the treatment I received in Woolston Post Office. They were abusive, rude, and wholly unhelpful. I am an elderly gentleman with a small dog I always carry, and not only were the staff unfriendly and rude, but some of the other customers decided it was acceptable to bully the elderly and take their bad moods out on someone who was minding his own business. When I wanted to withdraw £50, I was give one note, and when I asked if they could break it, they said they're NOT SUPPOSED TO. What sort of rule is this? This Post Office used their position as a way of looking down on their local community, and belittling someone who didn't deserve it.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally complain about the service I received at the Post Office branch in Westfield while completing an ID verification.
Upon arrival, I was informed that the verification process could not proceed because the tablet being used had insufficient battery charge. The staff member assisting me acknowledged at the start that the device was low on power and shortly afterwards it switched off. I was then asked to wait while it restarted and “restored,” which caused a significant delay.
After waiting approximately 15 minutes, I politely asked whether the tablet had charged enough for us to continue. I was told that it would take at least another 30 minutes. At this point, the explanation I was given changed, and the staff member refused to acknowledge that the issue was due to the low battery, despite having said so earlier. I found this response dismissive and unhelpful.
As a direct result of this delay, I had to pay additional car park charges, which would not have been necessary if the equipment had been properly prepared and fully charged before serving customers.
I am particularly disappointed not only by the long waiting time but also by the way the situation was handled. The lack of clear communication and the refusal to be transparent about the problem caused unnecessary frustration.
I would appreciate it if you could:
Investigate this incident,
Ensure that all equipment is properly charged and ready for use before appointments,
Consider reimbursing the extra parking costs incurred due to the delay,
Provide appropriate customer service training to prevent similar experiences in the future.
I look forward to your response and to hearing what steps will be taken to address this matter.
Yours faithfully,
AA

I've been waiting 20 mins in a branch…

I've been waiting 20 mins in a branch in the west midlands for a girl of about 20/25 years of age to pay in what looks like £20/30, 000 in cash with no questions asked,
I pay in £2,000 in Lloyds and I'm asked innumerable questions as to where it came from, what's going on????

I went to pick up my wife’s parcel in…

I went to pick up my wife’s parcel in post office colchester hospital at 8:30 (opening) . I’ve been using their services a lot of times to take parcel of my wife.but the lady told me they dont allow other people to get it even though I have the details, qr code and passport of my wife. She said it’s been 6 months already that they’ve been doing it. I told her I just took a parcel a few months ago and there’s no problem. She kept insisting. If you check/google DPDs policy, you can see that as long as you have the qr code, details and identification you can take the parcel even it’s not in your name. Well, it sucks since other employee allowed it while others don’t. And to that lady in colchester hospital post office, your attitude needs to be improved. You’re dealing and talking with people if you know what I mean.

RE: London Hampstead

RE: Hampstead Post Office - this is my local branch and I use it almost every day since 1992.
People who work there are amazing and always make an extra effort to serve visitors as good as possible.
This is a difficult part of town full of elderly people - like me - who are often capricious and intolerant. Sometime they are too difficult. People who work there do not deserve it !!!

Awful

Awful. Queued over half an hour behind all the people with parcels etc. to get some dollars at the Bureau De Change. When I finally got to the counter they only had large denominations. Useless for most people because most things are purchased on the card, and cash is needed for tipping. This goes for Euros too. When are the Post Office going to wake up to this fact.

Horrible Post Office Chadwell Heath

The 2 women who work at Chadwell Heath PO really are the most unfriendly pair I've ever come across. According to the website they close at 5 pm on Saturdays, I arrived at 4 pm and they aggressively informed me and another customer that they were closed. Almost every time I've been in they they are being rude to people. Their attitude stinks.

Ongoing Operational Failures at This Branch SM6 0NG be awear

I have serious concerns about the standards at this local Post Office branch. This is not an isolated incident but a pattern of repeated operational problems.
On my first visit for an Amazon return, staff initially refused to accept the item despite clear written instructions stating that no packaging or label was required. I had to insist strongly before the return was processed.
On a second occasion, although the return was accepted, I was not provided with proof of acceptance despite requesting it. Subsequently, I experienced complications with a related bank refund. While I cannot directly link the two, the lack of proper documentation and process transparency at the branch is concerning.
Most recently, I experienced excessive waiting times — approximately 45 minutes for a queue of around 10 customers. There was no visible attempt to manage the queue or improve efficiency. When I requested to speak with a manager, no effective resolution was offered.
The overall impression is one of poor operational control, lack of accountability, and service standards that fall significantly below what customers reasonably expect from an organisation operating under the Royal Mail name.
I strongly urge management to review this branch’s procedures, service standards, and supervision to ensure customers receive consistent and professional treatment.
I cannot use the local service of post office I am scared

Beware of being charged for unnecessary postage at Kensington Church St post office

Beware of the staff at Kensington Church Street (London) trying to make you spend more on postage than you should! This has happened to me several times.
First, they keep asking you if you want a "signed for" or "next-day delivery" when I've already said that I want the regular (cheapest) 1st-class service.
Second (as happened again to me yesterday) they said I needed to add more postage, so they would add a 2nd-class stamp that added up to more than necessary. I insisted that they must still have those books of stamps, of various denominations, until the man finally agreed that they did ... and reluctantly got me the exact-value stamps needed!
Yes, it's only a small difference in price but it annoys me that it's a consistent practice at this post office ... I guess they're trying to drive up their profits!
Lastly, it's iniquitous that, to get to the post office counter, you have to wade through shelves of crisps, snacks, etc ... AND there's no postal slot outside so you HAVE to come into their wretched consumer alleys! Enough said ...

Visited the post office on vyes street…

Visited the post office on vyes street to post a parcel containing an iPhone 16 pro max. Upon handing the parcel to the male behind the counter he frisbee tosses the phone into a basket and it lands with a loud bang. I then point this out and he gets a defensive attitude and says “there’s styrofoam”…I then call the number on the post office receipt and follow endless prompts until it says press 6 to make a complaint. Then once 6 is pressed it just has a repeating message about going to the help section on their website. When I go to this page it has nothing to do with filing a complaint and there are just endless “help and support” links that took me in a circle. Post office is just another dead company ran by a piece of trash director . It’s why I avoid them at all costs. Unfortunately, EE wanted to use this method or I wouldn’t have

Great customer service

Great customer service. The weather was terrible and I was having a particularly bad day. The last thing I wanted to do was go to the post office to send back a parcel I had received and was not correct. After being blown into the shop by the wind and looking like I'd been dragged through a bush backwards my first point of contact was Dora. She was bright and bubbly with a wonderful giggle. I left feeling much better. However the weather had not improved.
