Premium Pricing, Zero Support: A Customer's Nightmare
The delay in receiving my order for three weeks has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. Despite paying a premium price for the product, the complete absence of customer support has left me feeling neglected and undervalued as a customer. It is disheartening to see that they don't really care to the fact that I still haven't received my parcel.
This has undoubtedly been one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in quite some time, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this company to anyone. Instead of taking responsibility for the delivery issues, they seem to be shifting the blame onto the parcel delivery service and expecting customers to bear the burden of resolving the situation, which is both unprofessional and unacceptable.
Their service and products are OK
Their service and products are somewhat OK but the shipping time is not good at all. The order was late for more than a weeks so no more than 4 stars can be given.
This company charges your order to your…
This company charges your order to your card immediately and now a week later, and I haven’t received shipping info because it hasn’t shipped.
Shame on PR
Amazon and most vendors, do not charge your order, until it ships. THAT is the way to do business PR playing a cash flow game with it’s customers.
4 purchases in and not stopping soon.
I have bought 4 pairs of Public Rec (PR) pants. Loved all of them.
They are indeed pricey (especially when you include import duties and convert from USD to local currency in South Africa, where I live) but I see them as a long term investment for my wardrobe and quality of life. For me, shirts and jackets don't need to fit amazingly for comfort, but pants that are too tight or stiff have always made me irritable, claustrophobic or self-conscious. Thus I decided to invest, for pants only. I can't see myself purchasing their items like shirt and jackets at those prices, but the pants are an absolute game-changer.
I bought my first pair (Workday Pant), experimentally, about 3 years ago. Bought two more pairs (the All Day Every Day Pant and another Workday pair, different colour) on subsequent Black Friday sales. Have been convinced of the longevity of their build quality and so recently purchased the ADED shorts. All of them deliver exactly what is promised: incredibly soft and stretchy material; you can get a close (but not tight) cut that is stylish yet due to the stretchiness of the fabric, doesn't affect your range of motion or comfort at all.
The comfort, many utilitarian pockets and zips keep me coming back. They're also very good looking (second priority to me) and I get many compliments on them.
I read through some of the 1-star reviews on here before writing this. I'm sorry to hear that many people have had issues with the build quality as I now own 4 pairs and have never experienced that.
I have also had good experience with their customer service: overseas deliveries to me in South Africa often go missing or get delayed. The first time I bought the ADED shorts, they stagnated somewhere for months due to one of PR's courier partners. I emailed PR's customer service and they straight away sent me a new pair, which arrived in a few days. Was highly impressed.
Finally Mens High Waisted
Just received my first order today for the everyday pants and couldn't be more pleased . For people with ostomies having a high waisted pant is a blessing. For 6 years I been trying to find any brand for men that were high rise and this is the first, I was able to purchase such from the UK but this is more convenient. I plan to add many more to my closet . Thanks
I had a pair of the $110 daily joggers
I had a pair of the $110 daily joggers. Loved them so much, I bought 2 additional pairs. After 3 washes, the lamination on pocket zipper in the left pocket started to come apart. Public Rec would not warranty them because they had been worn and offered me a measly 20% off coupon toward my next purchase. There will be no additional purchases from me to Public Rec. Terrible customer service and they don’t back up the workmanship of their high-end athletic apparel.
Extremely poor quality and poor…
Extremely poor quality and poor customer service. Don't waste your money.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. First, I ordered a pair of pants sized 32/32. What I got was 36/36. I notified them and they claimed they sent a replacement pair in the correct size. Two weeks later, when they hadn't come, I called and was told that likely the DHL delivery was lost. So, they said, they'd send a third replacement pair. When I hadn't received shipping info after a week I emailed them and was told that, no, the pants never shipped because they were out of them...and every other color and size. So, instead, they refunded me. I can't tell if this company is a scam, but I will never, ever order from them again.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service. Product page says free returns but when I try to return the item customer service tells me because it's final sale they won't return or exchange it. The customer service trys to tell me it's on the checkout page that final sale is not returnable. Also not there. Extremely disappointed.
The back end in regards to customer…
The back end in regards to customer care and shipping is a joke. No phone and no chat. I started with the company years ago but am moving on. They just can’t get the product to you. I even payed two day shipping before a trip to the Eu, but no package after canceling the other order after two and a half weeks.
Quality is extremely poor.
As with other posts - these trousers are stylish and comfortable but the quality is below 1 star. Zippers on all 3x pairs of the ADED trousers I bought fell apart after less than 3 months - all with the exact same fault. Considering how expensive they are (and you have to pay for customs imports in the UK L) I would avoid these like the plague. Do NOT buy these trousers, no matter how comfortable they are for the first two weeks ;)
Scam
This company is a scam, pure and simple. They are selling a garbage product for very high price and the customer service is even worse than the product. Buyer Beware!
AWFUL
AWFUL! I bought a couple pairs of pants on sale from Public Wreck last year and they were both way off size. In the waist and inseam. They ran me through the ringer and at the and of the day they said the errors were "within tolerances". AVOID!
Terrible customer support and return…
Terrible customer support and return policy, I bought the same pair of shorts as I have and they are smaller.
They have refused to issue a refund even though I have send the product back to them over a month ago.
Will never buy again and strongly suggest you do not buy either.
Issues w/Quality Control
I ordered a 34/34 in pants and they sent a 36/30. Really? Why not check what you are packing against the actual order?
The pants fall apart after a few…
The pants fall apart after a few washings and the zippers break easily on the pockets. Customer service is terrible and this company is garbage. Don't waste your money.
Terrible Customer Service
Terrible customer service and impossible to make returns or exchanges. So unimpressed and while their clothes arent bad I will no longer be a customer for this reason. It's just not worth it.
Customer Service and Shipping Failure
I ordered two pairs of pants and two shirts on a Wednesday morning, and opted to pay for express two day shipping because I needed the items for a work trip the following week. My items are somehow scheduled to be delivered six days from my confirmation purchase date. I contacted customer service and their response was that fed ex doesn’t deliver on weekends, although two day shipping should’ve had my parcel arrive on Friday. I contacted fed ex, and they deliver to my address on weekends. I am both confused and appalled. I like their clothing, but cannot recommend based on their customer service.
Would Rate With ZERO Stars if Possible
Placed an order with Public Rec on 5/18/2022, credit card was charged same day. 5/19 to 5/22 received emails from Public Rec about order, label creation, shipping, and expected delivery date. (5/22/2022). Notified that package was delivered on 5/22/2022 - yet no package was delivered. Contacted Public Rec, they asked me to check to see if my neighbors got my package - I checked and my neighbors haven't received the package. Public Rec then asked me to wait for 48-72 hours - maybe the package would show up, and they they would investigate from their end.
May 24th - Checked back with Public Rec was told that there was no info based on their investigation. May 25th checked back on status and was told to wait for another 48-72 hours.
May 25 to 6/1. No info or packages received from Public Rec.
It is now 240+ hours since the 'delivery' was made and they only needed 48-72 hours.
There is a total of 11 email exchanges - all were polite, all from different people and all with virtually no plan of action. Was told to wait some more.
The ONLY thing I got from Public Rec was a charge on my credit card and worthless emails.
IF Public Rec has a customer service moral compass it must be pointed to where the sun does not shine.
I do not like writing bad reviews - but this is ridiculous, and hopefully others won't make the same mistake I did of trying to deal with this company.

Reply from Public Rec
Buyer beware!!
Buyer beware!!! If you have to return any clothing (and you likely will) not only does postage cost $30 but Public Rec will then claim to have not received your parcel. This company is a scam. I have read multiple reviews describing the same scenario. They are hoping you will just give up so they can keep you money and your clothing.
