I love these boots. They look great and are comfortable too. I've only given them a few miles proper hiking but they seem durable and well sealed.

Terrible customer service

I purchased a pair of Monty-Lo shoes on 9th September and understood there would be a wait time, however I was advised this would be mid-Oct. Since then I have had to reach out to Ridgemont a total of 5 times myself to be updated on my order, as they seem incapable of updating their customers after they have taken payment.
First response (9th Nov) advised that Customs were holding up the vessel but I would receive delivery that week. Next communication (15th Nov) advised that the last email was a “mix up” and the shoes weren’t in fact due to arrive until late Nov, so I should expect delivery beginning of Dec. Chased again (2nd Dec) advised there was now a delay at the factory but delivery date to the port would be 6th Dec and I would have the shoes the week of the 7th, however next email (12th Dec) stated that the shoes still hadn’t arrived at the port but were expected early the following week...reached out again (19th Dec) and as expected... told they are delayed until 27th Dec!

Serious lack of proactive communication with no regard for the customer, with one email starting with “super apologies”, indicating to me that my concerns were not being taken seriously... Very poor experience which ended up in money being refunded after I read more reviews around the quality of the product, why wait any longer if the likelihood is the product will either never arrive and/or will be of poor standard.

Ridgemont have two TrustPilots, one for their .co.uk and one for their .com. I would strongly urge anyone to read both sites ahead of buying anything as my experience seems extremely common.

Amazing service! Ordered on the 22nd of December and my item arrived less than 24 hrs later on the 23rd! This is great as many companies are letting people down with deliveries before Christmas but Ridgemont went above and beyond. The shoes were wonderful too and my partner loved them . Thank you

Great fit, so far 100% waterproof and a really good looking boot. Very comfortable. Very pleased.

Great customer service, ordered a pre-sale edition. Didn’t meet its target and was offered a replacement product or a refund. Decided to try a different month hi too style. Arrived quickly and seem well made, however sizing is a bit on the large side and had to return anyway. Easily done online and dropped off at local collection point.

Quick delivery. The boots are a gift but opened them up and look as good as on web. Very good quality but obviously the “giftee” needs to wear it! good packaging.

Ordered some Heritage VZ boots when they were on offer at half price. Superb build quality with excellent comfort and great looks. Would definitely buy these at full price also. To top things off the delivery time was actually faster than the quoted time. Great service from Ridgemont.

I 'pre-ordered' the Monty Hi size 11 in Black/Gum. 3 months later and when the shoes were finally made and started shipping I was told Ridgemont had been 'short stripped' on that size for me to have a pair, despite pre ordering the day they were announced.

Quick delivery first impressions are incredibly light in weight. Put them on felt a bit tight (I do have wide feet), but with walking socks on and a couple of hours in the house they felt good enough for a walk. Extremely surprised how comfortable they are and it was very rainy lots of puddles feet toasty and dry. I will be getting the dubbing on the leather today but very pleased, especially with the half-price sale. The only thing I HATE about the boots is the white flash on the sole I don't know why it is fashionable to have light colours on what will be the dirtiest part of the boot. I also prefer a commando sole, but let's see how these wear.
