I’ve been building 4 new build for the last year, ridgeons have been very helpful and delivered everything on time and at the right price. Highly recommended

Very rude and aggressive management and very poor customer service !!Stay away fom this place !!!!

As an individual I don't expect to get trade discounts or offers. What I do expect is service - what I got was indifference and an attitude of 'take it or leave it'. Ridgeons in Snettisham is the only supplier in the area, so it seems their attitude is that they have a captive audience and a 'right' to demand high prices - I left, found a welcome in a Kings Lynn merchant, was completely satisfied with their service and prices.
I won't be using Ridgeons again, and will make sure my friends and contacts are aware of their bad service and high pricing.

Can't believe how hard it is to get served at the rocklands branch (the third time I've had to leave without materials) they only seem interested in telephone sales , only one person to serve

Ordered a bag of gravel at 9am this morning, and it was delivered by 12noon. Even though there was noone at the delivery site, it was placed exactly as per my instructions. (It was also the lowest quote from 5 local firms!)

Been a customer for nearly 40 years of Saffron Walden including when Saffron Walden Supply Co Ltd. Visited new showroom on Thursday to look for some tiles. Absolutely chaotic with kitchens, bathrooms, tiles flooring, etc all jumbled together and all very high end. Few staff available. The old showroom was better organised and everything in its logical place and including basic to luxury. Have always relied on Ridgeons for all the basics, will have to start looking elsewhere.

My builders recommended me Ridgeons, as later to find out that a relative of his was working there and they were using staff discount. spent 10k, Two years later the power shower is not working, the basin is to heavy for the work top and you can see that it’s matter of time until will coach one day. As the vanity unit was designed by “specialists “ this should not happen.

I used Ridgeons today for the first ( and last) time on the recommendation of the guy who is doing my decorating. The young chap at the counter seemed sullen and unwelcoming; seriously in need of customer care training.I wanted a Little Green colour matched and provided a sample however was told this was a standard shade and he did not need to scan the colour. When I drove the 15 miles home I found the paint was nothing like the sample. When I returned I was told the colour was usually a match and he went in to the office to confirm he could change the paint. No instant apology.When I suggested perhaps his manager would like to apologise he mumbled he had said sorry !
Ridgeons get your act together. Train your staff or change your staff!

Though I have rated Ridgeons Peterborough 1 star this is for having the worst delivery team I have ever encountered.
The staff in the store have always been excellent. Good knowledgeable service and nice people to do business with.
But the 2 men who just dumped 5 sheets of MDF that blocked both my garage doors provided the worst delivery experience I have ever had.
They arrived 30 minutes early having already been told that I needed an hour to finish some painting and time to prepare a place to put the MDF sheets. They confirmed my name and I said they were early but give me a minute to finish up.
They started to unload some small pieces while I went into the workshop beside the garage to leave the paint and paint brush.
When I returned a minute later the MDF was blocking both garage doors. I said this was not useful and asked if they were just going to leave the MDF sheets blocking the doors. They said nothing. They just gave me a delivery note and got into their van.
I clearly said to them that this was no good at all and they drove off without a word. At this point I expressed my inner feelings about how rubbish this was in terms of service.
One of the MDF sheets is damaged on the bottom edge and 4 feet of tongue and groove are not usable but no one I spoke to at the store seems to think this is an issue.
So now the MDF sits outside blocking our garage as I will need help moving it and that help will not arrive until later tonight.
I did get a callback from someone at Ridgeons but they say the drivers tell a very different story. I guess they would.

I have used Ridgeons Halesworth for a number of years now and they have consistently provided high quality products at a great price and with fantastic service. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for my materials. Mark Ripley in the sales office is in particular a real asset to the business and nothing is too much trouble. Please keep up the excellent service.

I have been a Ridgeons customer for many years, mainly the Halesworth Branch. Their service, prices and knowledge are the best of the builder's merchants.

We have been using Ridgeons at March for over 20 years for our building and development company in Holbeach with what we can only explain as a faultless service from ordering to delivery.
This company/merchants is by far a class above the rest.

Fantastic service between branches. !! Working out of the March area for 2 years but due to the relationship built over many years with the branch all materials ordered through March and delivered from Norwich. All deliveries have been correct and on the day promised and if they have no stock Norwich contact us direct and are extremely helpful. Well done Ridgeons working as a team across the region.

Useless re-order 'system'....bought last 2kg bag of rapid set 'Jetcem' sand/cement.WHY was this the last bag?...." Oh be some in ,in two days" turn up ...."Oh none been ordered", WHY? "we need minimum order of 300".....Well FFS order it then , when will it come in? " can't say if it will be ordered....."......What an utterly useless arrogant customer UNfriendly attitude. Never recommend this place.

Called into Nuffield Road today to look at kitchen products for a refurbishment project and was greeted by an extremely helpful young man called Charlie. He certainly knew his trade and was polite answering questions clearly and concisely. In fact he normally worked in the Plumstock department you wouldn’t have known..... We were left with a positive customer experience Charlie is a credit to Ridgeons.

Crap products and crap customer service. Never returned calls emails. When I turned up at store, was very combative. F’ing and blinding on the sales floor, more like a youth club run by blokes who wished they were still young enough to go to one.
Tradesmen who use them are no better
further to the reply Ridgeon's have given. if you are interested. please let me know who you are or where to contact please. I've tried head office and they where adamant that I had to deal with the store in question even though id told them id had no joy. so please let me know where to send an email and ill gladly do so. I did see a reply icon at first but cant now, thanks
gave Ridgeons the opportunity to talk but they have as yet not done so,
so my review is still POO POO and you reap what you sow people! Social media is a wonderful tool, but wherever I look someone has got there before me. Shame

I attended the Ipswich store today and purchased 1 bag of cement and 4 bags of sand at a cost of £19.81. If I had driven 100yds in either direction and gone to wickes or Jewson I would have saved £5.00. That’s a 25% saving. I am doing a loft conversion in the area I know who I won’t be buying my materials from

Ridgeons sold me second hand shoddy goods which I was forced to use due to circumtances. When approached (through a supplier) their attitude was that the goods had been used so they are fit for purpose. Tried to email the rep and got no reply at all. My business is not the biggest but I do spend two hundred thousand a year on materials and this is not the kind of treatment I expect from one of the larger suppliers and will not use again even if it costs me more to go elsewhere.

Used Ridgeon’s for a while now on the odd occasion however I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone else. Their prices are high, delivery is slow and staff are not always that helpful.

My last experience is the icing on the cake. I received a snotty email from the accounts department a few weeks ago advising I owed just over £100 and that they had tried calling me. I replied apologising and said I hadn’t received an invoice / statement but paid up. A few days later the accounts department called me (on my mobile) to ask why I had paid £100 when my account wasn’t in debit. The guy on the phone apologised. They offered to keep it and I could spend it in store credit. I however declined this and asked for it to be refunded. I am now 2 weeks on and several calls later and still don’t have the money back. During all these calls I now feel like they are doing me a favour, at no point has someone said we will look into how this happened and here is £10 as a gesture of good will for our error. They simply don’t seem to care about customer service and satisfaction.

I’m now waiting for a cheque because after 3 calls they inform me they can’t transfer it to a different account as I’ve swapped bank accounts in the meantime. If they wanted to keep customers they could have sorted this immediately and been sincere, or even put the cash in an envelope and hand delivered it to me!

Don’t use Ridgeon’s unless you are happy with poor service and rude staff. (Apologies to the few that go above and beyond to assist)
