I’ve had a generally positive experience with RSPCA insurance so far. The process has been straightforward, and customer service has been helpful when needed.
However, one improvement I would strongly suggest is regarding pre-existing conditions. It would be very beneficial if conditions that are no longer active or have fully resolved could be reconsidered for coverage. At the moment, even inactive issues seem to remain excluded, which feels quite restrictive—especially when they are no longer impacting the pet’s health.
Allowing some flexibility for non-active conditions would make the policy much more fair and competitive compared to other insurers.
Overall, a good service, but this change would make a significant difference.

It was easy to set up the policy… A lot cheaper in Price than the insurance company I was with… And also I was very impressed that they cover dental for animals… Which I find very rare with other companies…

Covers my pets for all eventualities and give me the peace of mind to know they are able to have treatment they need when they need it.

We rehomed Tara from RSPCA Bawtry Rotherham. The free 1 monthPetplan was too expensive to continue cover so I shopped around. RSPCA offered good cover for good benefits and at an affordable price.

The change to RSPCA seems to have gone according to plan. The premium we are paying is about 1//3rd of what we were paying for half the level of cover though with higher levels of cover for ancillary services. The cover is with the same insurer so would appear to represent good value.

The RSPCA pet insurance is nothing more than a scam!
They will happily take your monthly payments until you need to claim and then they just find the first excuse they can to refuse to pay up!
We have had 3 policies for our cats with them and paid a substantial monthly amount. However recently one of our cats needed vet treatment and they have refused our claim.
Not only have I now cancelled all three policies, I have also cancelled my monthly £20 donation to the RSPCA.
I will never give the RSPCA an other penny as long as I live!

I found this insurance when I wanted to change from my original one, due to the fact it had gone up half as much again. Sometimes it's hard enough to find a good insurance for a crossbreed or a rescue dog as it it, let alone a good one. Personally I can't see why but it is. Finding this one was a godsend. Everything my dog and me needed and for an excellent monthly price. Two happy customers here 😁

My vet practice was able to handle the claim for me so I didn't have to complete any forms, in fact I didn't have to do anything apart from check progress of the claim.
I had one query regarding what could be claimed for. When I telephoned the RSPCA helpline I was dealt with politely and efficiently.

After only joining rspca pet insurance in January I did not expect my puppy to get sick so soon after in the February where I had to get him emergency medical attention and was hospitalised for 2 days. I was very stressed and worried about the fees as well as My puppy being unwell but after putting in a claim and a few details required from the insurers within 7 days rspca paid me out my claim without any problems. This was a relief and a big weight lifted off my shoulders.

Customer service is none existent with the RSPCA insurance and this is when I haven't even made a claim. All I have been trying to establish is how much my premium will be next year as the policy expires in 2 days time. No response, cant get through on the phone and even the CEO of the RSPCA is just ignoring emails. God only help me if I ever needed to ever make a claim. I appreciate that the RSPCA subcontract the insurance to a third party but if they are putting their name to a product they have to take dome responsibility.

It was so easy to get a quote for my pet insurance, so much cheaper than the others, even the insurance cost renewal with the company I used.

I will always use RSPCA insurance for my dog, Ted. They accepted my claim, listened and were responsive. Thank you RSPCA

Very frustrating. I was asked to send medical history for our dog. No problem sent by email as requested. No response. Our vet sent history also no response. I emailed again as I was concerned premium may go up. No response. Phoned them, hung on for 15mins gave up. I assume no premium increase but to get no replies is awful. I want to support a charity RSPCA but won’t renew unless service changes
