Beyond poor service and process
Beyond poor service and process, had our claim rejected on false basis twice saying no information had been provided about the pet’s history despite the vets twice providing evidence it had been sent.
If you can afford to pay more for a better service, I strongly recommend you do not settle for RSPCA. Unfortunately, as I was a strong supporter of the brand until actually having to make a claim (first time in 10 years).

Easy to join. Luckily not needed yet. Changed from Petplan which was excellent but cost went up a lot with no clear reason. I’ll only know what the insurance is like if and when I use it.

Most affordable policy.
I have an old english bulldog and was looking for lifetime insurance for him. I find RSPCA to offer the best cover at a reasonable monthly amount. The website and forms were so easy to navigate.

Insurance was due for renewal & comparison site provided RSPCA as top one for value for money. Checked previous insurance renewal quote against RSPCA & for exactly the same policy RSPCA were £200 cheaper!!!

Most attractive overall policy for our puppy
When comparing the Lifetime allowance of £7k per annum, lower excess, and fair monthly payment the RSPCA was the most attractive overall policy for our new puppy. Easy to complete the online registration process, no hassle.

RSPCA Insurance appears to be cheaper…
RSPCA Insurance appears to be cheaper than most others while covering the same conditions etc. and at a lower excess fee.
It remains to be seen whether they are as helpful if it comes to a claim. I have only just switched to them and have no experience in that regard.

From the start of our time with RSPCA insurance, everything has been absolutely excellent. The portal worked very well, there have never been any issues and the customer service people have been great. Our dog suffered from Epilepsy and started after we had switched to RSPCA insurance ... no questions asked, just support, helpfulness and prompt settling of Vets bills
