Samsung 5 year warranty- is a total SHAM!!

Missold 5 year warranty- it's a sham!!! Only purchased our 3rd big appliance, as advertised with 5year warranty. This isn't true! Received nothing to say it needs to be registered, no emails, let's our paperwork to complete. Tried to get repair after 3years and told I need to pay double the usual rate in our area.

Avoid purchasing Samsung washing machines

My experience has been dreadful. Faulty washing machine still under 5 year warranty which at first they disputed until I sent their confirmation of it. They book repair with service centre then cancel 2 days later, call centre just read from script so after 4th call no longer needed to listen as new they would say ‘rest assured somebody would be in touch’, case managers never call back and the same tedious process needs to be repeated again. Do not buy Samsung washing machine and most importantly if you do keep screenshots and emails of your warranty as they will dispute this without you providing them with evidence of registering guarantee.

Extremely Disappointed – Worst Tablet Experience Ever

I have been a loyal Apple customer for years, but my husband recently gifted me a Samsung tablet purchased through the Target app. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst tech experiences I’ve ever had.

The tablet cost nearly $400 and has only been used for about three months. Then, without warning, it got locked, and I’ve never been able to use it again. I tried everything possible—resets, troubleshooting, online support—but nothing worked.

I contacted Samsung and spent over two weeks being transferred from one representative to another, repeating the same information multiple times with no resolution. I followed every instruction they gave, including visiting an authorized reseller, who also couldn’t help.

Eventually, Samsung agreed to let me send in the tablet along with proof of purchase from Target (in the USA), only to tell me later that the device was an international model and therefore the warranty was void. Now they are refusing to fix or even service it—not even for a fee—and continue to give me the runaround

Buyer beware: Always verify what version of a product you’re being sold—apparently even major retailers like Target can sell international models with no support or warranty in the U.S. I will never purchase another Samsung product again.

Washing machine under two years old, bearings gone.

Washing machine under two years old, bearings going, (very noisy), and drum movement. After sending videos, copies of all documents, serial number, model, invoice etc, three weeks later an engineer visits. ‘ Bearings are worn, new drum etc needed’ - as I had advised Samsung 3 weeks earlier. I will have to order the parts ! Ten days later another ‘Samsung’ engineer arrives, and strips the machine. Drum and all components rebuilt on the pavement outside my house. I advised the engineer, this is a workshop jo, not a pavement job ! Almost four hours later, I have assisted the engineer, lent tools, lights, lifted drums, checked for leaks and the job is complete, or is it ? Same day machine is leaking, I’m chasing Samsung again, from the CEO down, but no one gives a f*** !
I will not be buying another Samsung product. They don’t care about customers, full stop.

No warranty honoured , money making repair scam .

My 18 month old Samsung bespoke jet hoover stopped charging . Samsung offer 2-5 year warranty.
I raised a repair claim, they picked the hoover and base unit up . The repair company sent me an invoice of £74 as one of the charging pins was loose and was caused by damage. I called Samsung customer service and asked how I could possibly damage just one pin in the base unit , they said I had been heavy handed or let my children play with it . I dont have children and am 5ft tall so I dont know how I could man handle a base unit to damage it .
Do not buy any Samsung products as they do not honour any of their warranties but use the repair service as a money making business holding your appliances to ransom. They also say if they find any other faults they will charge for repairs whilst they still have the unit . I asked for evidence of damage to the base unit , they said there isnt any , so I said how can I possibly damage parts that are inside an undamaged casing ? Money making scam ,, dont touch .

Samsung Warrenty Avoidance

Display went faulty on my expensive flip phone. Phone always keep in a cover.
Refused to honour the warrenty due to minor scratches on the hinge ( not protected by my cover), nothing to do with the display. Charged me over £250 for the faulty display.
So any surface scratches and they will refuse to honour the warrenty.
No more Samsung phones for me. Have had 5 different top end models but no more.
Service team not worth talking to, one said he couldn't see any damage on the pictures he received from the repair centre but they still refused to cover under warrenty.
So in effect Samsung phones don't really have a proper warrenty.

Just a joke of a guarantee

Just a joke of a guarantee just a gimmick to get you to purchase one of there products, registered the product straight after purchase got a email which printed off to confirm the 5 year warranty. After four and half year the tv developed horizontal and vertical lines so got in touch after90 minutes on the phone after showing pictures and videos of the tv they then said not covered as the tv had been damaged and if I was not happy to get a repair expert to come and check it which I would have to pay for and it had to be from the company they said, so what a joke that person is not going to go against the company it gets recommended by. Then to cap it all I then get a email stating that my claim is being rejected as I did not buy the tv from the company I claimed but I have a receipt from them also on the original email from Samsung it states the company I purchased the tv from so if you have claim under the 5 year warranty scam good luck

Worst experience in my 76 years

Worst experience in my 76 years. They kept asking for the same information. Over and over again for a month. They kept saying the information went to a different department. Unbelievable. I finally had an appointment to have them come out and repair my tv the following day. I received a call from Samsung telling me they were sorry for the delay so they were sending me a new tv. I called and cancelled the repair scheduled for the following day. Then I received a text to supply the same information I had text many times. Found it upsetting but followed through with their request. I called when I got home from work to see if they had everything they needed. They ask for my address as they did every time I spoke with them. Then they said we don’t deliver to Oregon. They don’t deserve a one star rating 0000

They took 4 weeks to fix my Dryer

They took 4 weeks to fix my Dryer. I have spent more than 30 minutes diagnosing online, when engineer came after almost 2 weeks had no idea of the problem, he checked said it was the control board and had to order as they don't have spare parts with them, so another week and a half for parts and he just works 2 days a week for Samsung at the end it was 4 weeks for a 5 minutes job changing the control board.

Purchased nearly a 3,000 dollar brand…

Purchased nearly a 3,000 dollar brand new refrigerator 2 years ago through Best Buy. A few months ago I noticed my milk going bad early. After having the geek squad (paid out of pocket) come out they recommended to let the refrigerator defrost for a couple days then restart it as there was some water that seemed frozen. Did that and noticed it still wasn’t cooling but now my ice machine isn’t working anymore. I decide to call Samsung. They send out a local company out to diagnose (175 out of pocket) the problem so they can have Samsung warranty it if it’s still covered. Find out it’s the evaporator and defrost heater which is all covered under the 5 year limited warranty. The company comes out trying to replace the part for nearly 500 dollars and we say no because the part is covered under warranty. Samsung continues to say it’s not under warranty and have to had multiple phone calls, ticket numbers, different people different information. Some say it’s covered, some say it’s not. It clearly is written in the 5 year limited warranty is it. Now we are on ticket number who freaking knows waiting to have Samsung send out an email to the repair company to confirm the part is covered under warranty. I’ve been out on a fridge nearly 2 months!!!! The amount of hours and phone calls I’ve had to make is laughable. Samsung will do anything and everything to make your life harder while trying to get a warranty. You will have to repeat yourself about a million times every time you call for an update like they can’t just see it all right in front of them. Started this process 3/18/2025. As of 5/12/25 still waiting for the repair.

Bought Samsung smart 9kg eco bubble…

Bought Samsung smart 9kg eco bubble machine and after 1 year noticed powder on washed items so changed to soap capsules but they didn't dissolve properly. I now realise that the water was not heating too late for cover under warranty as apparently the thermostat is not covered by the 10 year warranty on this £730 machine. Call out to see what's needed is £108 then replaced parts are extra. Will be buying new machine not a Samsung as they don't last very long

Very bad customer service

I have a Samsung washing machine under warranty seal is damaged because of drum miss movement. Now called them they say it's not under warranty because seal is consumable product and I tried to explain that this happened because of drum they wouldn't listen. I think I will stop purchasing Samsung. My fridge my washing machine and TV and phone is Samsung but clearly won't replace them with Samsung again I will go for different brands something more reliable

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID - NEVER AGAIN

The slide rail broke on my Samsung Duel Flex oven causing fat to splash from the tray. I have 2 of these ovens both with 5 year warranty. Samsung do not want to know, say it's not covered under warranty, despite it is a safety issue and means that only half of the oven can be used. Want to sent me an engineer (at my cost) - it doesn't need an engineer it just needs a rail/side bar sent to me. I have spent over an hour on the phone, sent copies of the guarantee, the receipt and 3 photos of the oven and offending part - apart from my shoe size and eye colour the amount of questions I have answered on repeat is ridiculous. Warranty isn't worth anything, they denied that I had 5 years even though I had sent them a copy of the email from them with the extended warranty. Joke is she said she will update the records to show I have 5 years - what's the point - you clearly don't honour them. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG.

DAY 2 and they are still emailing asking for proof of warranty even though they have acknowledged receipt. Now they can't open the photos (these have been reviewed by 3 members of staff including a senior manager!) Apparently they are looking to help me with my microwave - I don't have one. Have found the spare part on line, very expensive but I certainly won't be buying it from Samsung.

Absolutely shocking warranty service.

Absolutely shocking warranty experience. 18th months into a 3 year extended warranty, Combi Microwave needed a repair. It has taken 1 month and countless hours spent on the phone to team Samsung Warranty team to get the Microwave repaired. On top of that, the Microwave came back badly scratched and Samsung Warranty are saying they cannot deal with the complaint as I need to contact the 3rd party repairer. Never again am I buying Samsung!

Location Gold Coast

Location Gold Coast. Had our tv screen replaced under warranty and less than 2 months later it went totally black and wouldn’t work. They refused to replace it saying it was rust! Video Factory are the company with the job to come out and inspect but they are obviously getting push back from Samsung as Samsung won’t honour the warranty. We even paid for extra warranty. Won’t buy a Samsung again and will let everyone know. Extremely disappointed and feel it is just ridiculous to claim it’s rust after less than 2 months.

Not really a warranty it's useless

I brought a fridge that cost way over the odds but it had a 5 year warranty that's worth absolutely nothing, I have found so many people with the same issue with the lining of the fridge. They are saying it's not covered and blaming me for the damage
