Beware of Samsung extended warranty

4 years ago we bought a Samsung fridge/ freezer and washing machine as part of a kitchen refurbishment. The fridge had a couple of missing plastic parts needed for fitting so we rang Samsung and they immediately sent them out (no probs). However whilst on the phone I asked to register the two appliances so that I would be covered by the extended warranty. The agent duly took the details...model no; serial number; email address etc etc. Four years later the washing machine develops a fault but when I try to claim on the warranty, Samsung say the products are not registered even though they have all my details on computer including a record of sending me the parts, plus I have an account ref quoted to me by the agent but this is not enough. Unknowingly I should have received an email from them confirming the warranty and having a separate reference number. Clearly the agent did not register the items correctly and I am now the loser. It seems to me that Samsung are deliberately putting hurdles up to ensure a significant proportion of customers will not be eligible for an extended warranty even though they should be. A cynic might say that this is done deliberately to allow Samsung to sell appliances with long warranties cheaper than competitors because the cost of a warranty has to be built into the price of a product. In my view this should not by allowed. I have been a loyal Samsung customer in the past (currently have a TV, sound bar, tumble dryer, 2 phones and the two products discussed) but not any more.

Samsung Refridgerator - 2.5 years old

We purchased a Samsung Refidgerator with the stanrdard 2 year warranty - but I am sure I then did the free promotion extension to 5 years.

Well now something is wrong - Samsung are not interested. Say that I haven't got the extended warranty and I can't find my end - so that's that.

After spending £1200 - I know I did the extended warranty but not worth the battle.

All I can advise is - don't bother with Samsung goods unless you don't care if something goes wrong.

Samsung warranty is worthlessness, they don’t honour it.

We purchases a Samsung washing machine with a 5 year warranty. After less than two years it developed a big leek. The warranty is useless as Samsung will not repair it. Terrible customer service. The warranty is worthless. Do not buy Samsung products. Untrustworthy company with the most horrendous customer service.

3 WEEKS OF LIES

I bought a Samsung slide in gas range September 6th 2022. The oven stopped October 2022. I've called numerous times to their support number to get this large piece of useless crap fixed.
3 WEEKS and nobody will fix it!! I hate Samsung's customer service. They must have the biggest playbook of lies ever printed. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG.

Bought a phone New Z Flip 3 6 months…

Bought a phone New Z Flip 3 6 months after I bought is screen started separating on fold it now is cracking on fold. There is a known issue of this problem. Was told I will have to send it in and I will be without a phone for 2 weeks. None of there service centers look after this phone except Toronto and Montreal?? I have had 10 Samsung phones with no issues this is the worst one, when I travel I cannot get signal anywhere, touch screen is starting to not work have to restart phone to get it to work again. My advice is do not buy this phone! As a company that knows there is an issue with this screen recall it and give your customers a new phone! The price charged for these phones is huge I expect better service than I got.

Perfect customer service!

I purchased a Samsung laundry machine. I used their website to register my product properly. 2 years later, it broke ( dryer was burned. ) I contacted Samsung warranty service via their website. Within 3 days, they came to my house to check the burned parts. They said it needed to change into a new parts. Then 2 days later, they came again with a new parts and fixed my broken laundry machine for free! I was so happy because my house is in Isle of Wight apart from mainland. Then they came from mainland to my house using ferry 2 times to fix my broken laundry machine for free!

I’ll tell everyone who are reading my review now. There are many bad review posts regarding Samsung Warranty Service because those costumers didn’t register their products properly and completely as soon as purchasing them.

If you register a Samsung product using the warranty service on their website properly, they’ll come to fix your broken products for free so quickly!

The worst customer experience I have…

The worst customer experience I have ever had!

Purchased a monitor which was unfortunately not put together correctly initially. Noticed some light coming through the top of the monitor, when one naturally checks why (just a slight touch of the screen) the monitor pops and then leaked digitally down as an electrical fault. When I called up customer service to log the complaint they told me because the screen has a crack (physical or not) then it is out of warranty. Could not believe it! That will be the last time I will be using Samsung. Rather upsetting that you have to deal with a company that reneges on their warranty, and then tries to blame you for the issue.

Absolutely awful service

Absolutely awful service. They will find any way possible to void your warranty, i.e small marks on the frame and casing, even though i was told those marks had nothing to do with the issue my phone has. They also take way longer than their given time frame to get back to you or leave you on hold forever. Not only have they just told me i need to spend a fortune more than i was expecting, they've also had my phone for over TWO weeks and still have not even started the repair yet. I am STILL currently without a phone.

Shamsung - utter disgrace, warranty is pointless

The worst excuse of a company and warranty I've ever experienced. If I could rate lower than 1 star I would.

I have a 5 month old flip phone, green lines throughout the screen and flickering bottom screen. Completely covered under warranty. I can claim but because I have a cosmetic scratch to the external casing, I'd have to pay to have that fixed...as apparently, their 'engineers' can't fix one problem at a time.

I'm not even remotely bothered about the cosmetic damage. I have a case, I never see it. This is simply a loophole that Samsung have created to deny consumers their basic warranty rights.

I'm now stuck with a new phone that's starting to break down, because i can't afford to fix the cosmetic issues that I don't care about.

They are disgraceful and nothing more than a sham of a company...Shamsung. They use this rule to benefit no one but themselves, their flip phones are a disgrace and instead of owning it and replacing screens they hide behind this excuse of a warranty.

Worthless Warranty, do not buy Samsung products

My samsung flip phone stopped working (won't switch on) after 9m and they will not repair under warranty due to some very minor scratches on the hinge. These are from normal use and were not visible prior to sending the phone for repair but they have sent me a zoomed in photo to prove a few tiny flecks. If they can use such tiny defects to invalidate a warranty, such warranties must never be upheld: a big win for Samsung. I will definitely never buy a Samsung product again.

Samsung appliance warranty service is…

Samsung appliance warranty service is absolutely bad. I bought a Samsung Fridge by beginning of 2020. The fridge stopped cooling last Sunday. After so much trouble to talk to a call centre caller as her English was bad and the understanding between us starting to be frustrating, I decided to my wife to talk.
Making it short... waiting time for an engineer to attend my house to fixe the fridge os 7 days!!! Plus asking for someone be at home but they can't say what time the engineer will attend. So I have to inform my boss that I can't come to work and lose a day of work money?
Is this legal?
So avoid Samsung at all cost!!!

Terrible experience.

Terrible experience.

4 of 6 phone calls to Samsung (I recorded 4 of them).
I plan on putting them on youtube to make people aware of the lousy service.

Issue: The water pitcher leaks out of the gasket seal.

1st call in June 2022. Polite agent. Says will get it ordered and mailed out. Gave me a ticket number.

2nd call 8/3/2022. Polite agent. Asked where my pitcher was. "Its on back order". How long will it take? "We can't give you a time". Asked to speak to management. Got transferred to a 3rd party parts department. Hung up on by 3rd party parts department.

3rd call 8/3. Asked to speak to management or to be given a phone number to 3rd party parts department. (Samsung parts are on backorder indefinitely so hoping this would resolve my issue)
Given number to J&J parts (1-800-627-4368). Rude lady answers. Says the pitcher cost $147 and that Samsung won't cover it that I have to pay cash.

4th call to Samsung 8/3. Rude agent. Asked to speak to a manager. Waited on hold for 30 minutes and hung up.

I plan to release all the audio online and also submit them to our local news outlet. Hopefully, that will get Samsungs attention.

I sent in a galaxy z flip phone that…

I sent in a galaxy z flip phone that was under warranty that had messed up screen and apparently a hinge problem due to normal use ( opening and closing to use)and they said they wouldn't cover it because it had psycal damage.I asked what the psycal damage was and they told me there was a problem with the hinge,I told them it had to be from normal use because the phone was not dropped then they said it had a few visible scratches and couldn't be covered. So I advise everyone if you need samsung to cover their warranty make sure it is in the same shape it was in when you got it out of the box or the warranty will be voided.Needless to say samsung does NOT warranty anything.

Samsung needs to Honor what it’s one agents determine

I am already displeased with Samsung and am not looking forward to this process despite being in warranty and have found several complaints about various Samsung glass top ranges randomly breaking and or cracking. I have already received three separate tickets. First ticket I was advised that the technician will come with the glass top replacement for my cracked range NE63A6511SG/AA which spontaneously cracked while boiling a large pot on the large burner. I received a call yesterday day and explained what occurred and spent my time video chatting and sent this rep a photo of the damages to this rep and I was told that she needed to close the initial ticket and that as I didn’t do anything other than my husband boiling water, that Samsung would cover the cost. I was also advised that since they know what needed replacing, the tech would come with the part and fix on the spot but that I just needed to confirm appointment with service center. This led to her creating a new ticket number (ticket no two in 2 days. Today I called the service center to confirm the technician will be coming this Thursday and was advised that it would cost a minimum of $314 for the glass replacement but that’s just an estimate??!. I said well no Samsung told me that this ticket was updated to show that I would not be charged. Immediately called Samsung again and was advised that the second rep that created the second ticket didn’t include a specific code and that they didn’t know what the second rep was referring to as only the technician that comes out to can determine whether this will be covered by Samsung or out of pocket. This rep now created a third ticket. This is all very disconcerting. What was the point of spending over an hour on the phone, texting photos and video chatting to show the damage to my glass top to only now be told that I have to wait and when glass is the issue it’s a process?! I have taken extremely great care of my range since purchasing in December 2020. Never had any issues and then one of the burners spontaneously combusted while boiling a large stainless steel pot of water. It’s a good thing I wasn’t in the kitchen as this would have surely caused me harm. So much conflicting information is getting very stressful. I have no stove top for three days now, tech isn’t coming until Thursday and then I’ll have to wait to ascertain whether Samsung will stand by what the rep advised—- that they would cover it. To my knowledge, an agent has the ability to make determinations on behalf of its company. To be told something will be covered and then to be told something entirely different (now after the tech arrives this can take up to 10 days for processing). I have no stove to use. I now have to figure out what to do without a working stove due to (as the third rep put it) when it’s glass it’s a whole different process. I own nothing but Samsung products and appliances (phones, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and two tvs) and this is my first negative experience as I’ve never had any issues with your products. Depending on how this transaction ends up, and if Samsung doesn’t honor the word of its agent, they will likely lose me as a customer for good.

Yeah, Samsung doesn't care about customers

Purchased earbud (entry level) from Amazon. A couple months go by and one dies. I get an approved warranty and ship them off then pandemic hit. I forgot about it but my wife reminded me a month before the original warranty ran out. Called and they claimed they never got them and won't do anything about it. As if I am A) playing a stupidly long game to scam a single pair of lower end earbuds or B) caught in one of their issues that they will seize upon to make sure I get worked over. Either way I paid over $100 to "rent" earbuds for a couple months then they took them back. Beware this company.

Don’t be fooled by the free warranty

Disappointed with the service received from Samsung. Washing machine has broken down for the second time in a year. They refer you to the their 3rd parry company who cancel appointment without updating you. I have two elderly parents living with me and I’ve not been able to do any of the washing for over a week and a half. This is unacceptable and I will no longer purchase anything from DONT be fooled by the 5/10 year warranty. It means nothing! I’m going to purchase a Bosch

I won’t chose a Samsung washer again…

Samsung eco bubble washer lasted 3 years. It’s an expensive machine and was supposed to last 10 years. The drainage pump became defective. Using the smart app to diagnose the fault the message received was all checks completed your machine has no issues. It did not produce an error message. I haven’t bothered to approach Samsung and a local repairer will charge over £200.00. I’ve ordered a new Bosch which is £350. Talk about built in obsolescence! Samsung is not an eco friendly manufacturer they should stick to making mobile phones.
