Arrived broken, no reply despite many emails!

I ordered two sets of plates, and each set arrived with 2 broken plates. I emailed them over and over for months, and they said they'd get back to me with a resolution but never did. Now, the support@ email address bounces back. Terrible!

I made two separate purchases at different times, taking advantage of their promotional discount campaign — one for the Alabax Surface Mount and another for the Andy Side Table.

Ordered items online

Ordered items online, said it was in stock. Took 1 month of NO response, no shipping. I asked about the order- they cancelled the MAJOR items of a set without notice. I emailed to let them know then cancel the entire order (without the major order its not worth the $40 in shipping for other items in the set) and again WITHOUT NOTICE shipped the item out.
NO RESPONSE from the customer support.

Scam with no customer service

Purchased and paid for an item Jan 16th. I've tried contacting them four times to receive a shipping update only to receive the standard response of someone will get back to me shortly. Going to have to do a chargeback to get my money returned

Bait and switch on return policy

I placed an order well BEFORE Schoolhouse changed their return policy. The items took a very long time to arrive and only after I contacted them multiple times.

When I tried to return a couple of the items - within the return window based on date of receipt - that option had disappeared. I reached out a number of times and the only answer I get is that they will not be accepting any returns.

I am a trade customer, purchasing for clients. This is a terrible way to do business.

I ordered a few items but they never came…

I ordered a few items and a few days later, received notice that they had shipped! I was impressed as I'd heard shipping takes a while with schoolhouse. Alas, UPS still hasn't received the package over a month later. I contacted Schoolhouse and was notified they are busy and will get back to me. That was three weeks ago. I finally had to dispute charges with my credit card company. Bummer because I love their stuff!

Terrible Company - Horrible Customer Service

I pressed the wrong button when on this site and accidentally ordered the Miller Utility Cart. I emailed and tried calling them immediately to let them know this and that I did not want the product. There was no reason this should have even been sent out. It is impossible to EVER reach anyone on the telephone - I left several messages. I did receive an email from the company that they would look into the matter.

I received the cart at my house within a couple of weeks, during which period I repeatedly tried to contact them to send back the product. I finally received an email that they were not accepting any returns at this time.

I am now stuck with this cart that I have no use for and no where to put. The company must really need my money.

Never received my order from November…

Never received my order from November of last year. Had to do a chargeback on my credit card after being ghosted by their customer service by months. They had the galls to respond to deny it, but my CC sided with me luckily because it was well documented that they never shipped the order.

Very shady.

Absolutely infuriating customer…

Absolutely infuriating customer service. I ordered a Forma Table and when it arrived, it came with Forma Table legs and a random chair. No table top. After a prolonged and slow back and forth with customer service, they sent me a replacement Forma Table top. It arrived today, over a month later from my initial complaint, and it arrived with none of the materials (screws, washers, allen wrench) to attach the legs to the table. Now I'm back at it again contacting their slow customer service (they only accept email, no phone). I've had to postpone hosting dinner nights twice now because of their mistakes and slow customer service. For the steep cost of Schoolhouse products, I expect so much better.

Do NOT order from Schoolhouse, you won't get your items

Add me to the growing list of customers who simply never got my order delivered and now can't get a response from customer service. My money is gone in the wind. I see excuses from their customer service team that they're "in the midst of some internal changes which may cause delays"... maybe the internal changes are that there's no one around to process orders, because it is total radio silence.

Just like everyone else. I never received my order. No response from customer service. No phone number. My kids did not have Christmas stockings this year. Do not order from them. Brands that they sell should be ashamed of associating with this company. It makes them look bad.

SchooIhouse Down…Not Out

I’ve been a Schoolhouse customer nearly 20 years. Yes, the acquisition by Food52 put a huge dent in quality and service. The recent mass layoffs and questionable outlook are said for the brand. However, the order I placed December 22, 2025 DID ARRIVE today, so they are still trying…hard!

Shipping good color different than website

A lot of commenters say that they had difficulty with shipping time. I ordered on Black Friday this year and got my shipment on December 5. So exactly a week. As for the product, the Stillwater Floral Quilt Size:Full/Queen Color: Cobalt SKU: 148070
I'd say that the colors aren't exactly true to the photos. The vermillion color on the website is actually an orange. and the cyan is definitely darker. More like a dark blue. And instead of a tan it is a dark beige almost like a wet-sandstone color. I like the difference I was just surprised. I will take some pictures once I wash it.

1) I have loved Schoolhouse for…

1) I have loved Schoolhouse for decades. The amount of their lights in my home(11) can attest to that.
2) In the past two years, customer service has evaporated. I ordered 21 rolls of Hygge & West wallpaper in November of 24 and was missing 2 rolls. No longer having a phone number to call, only an email, which I contacted and heard NOTHING. I decided to call H &W directly. Spoke to a person, got the missing rolls right away. Never heard anything from Schoolhouse. H &W was lovely.
3) After the paper went up this summer, I had hugely over bought. I had 11 extra rolls. I called H & W to see if they would take returns on unopened rolls. They said yes, with a small restocking fee. Quite fair, and I only wanted to return 6 of the 11 rolls. They sent me a UPS label and confirmed receipt on 9/30/25. The only catch is the refund would have to come from Schoolhouse, the original point of sale. Again, the lovely H &W, who can also only contact SH by email have contacted SH 6 times since then and have received only generic, non specific (probably AI) emails saying “they will take care of it.” It is December 1, 2025, two months, and they have not.
Unfortunately, today, I had to hand it over to America Express.
Will keep you posted.

Awful just awful

After reading other reviews I’ve had similar experiences with really late orders arriving no tracking , font 4 on the item on website saying it will ship at a later time so that you don’t notice, returns disappearing, awful all around I’m surprised this company is still in business. I waited for a painting for 4 months, received it and sent it to be returned it’s been over 2 months no refund. They told me they are looking into it and then have not replied back in 2 weeks

Very fishy. Beautiful items online but getting them after paying is anything but straightforward.

It's been a couple of months since my ordeal with Schoolhouse. Items from Schoolhouse appear as a "best gift" on reputable magazine websites so I didn't hesitate to purchase a couple of king size sheet sets that were "in stock". When there was no tracking number after about two weeks, I began my queries by email. First, I was given an expected date of delivery about a week away (still no tracking number) and I was hopeful. However, the date came and went and I became suspicious of the company. At one month I started to request a cancellation which was refused and still I had no idea if or when my order would ever come. At this point I contacted Chase, my credit card company, which processed a refund and put a "chargeback" on the Schoolhouse account. Once Chase was involved, somehow they managed to send me my order. I contacted Chase that I'd finally received my order. I am leaving out the many stalling tactics used by Schoolhouse, that were clearly not on the level.

Portland Oregon is a city well-known for lots of unique design companies and craftspeople. I would hate to think that Schoolhouse is coasting off the fine reputation for commercial goods that this city has earned.

Where is my order?

Same experience as everyone else - I ordered on October 6, 2025 and it's Nov 3, 2025 and I cannot get an answer on where my product is. It has not shipped and I have emailed the company twice asking about the product with no reply as to where my order is. The say they are looking into it...with no answer.

Do not recommend!!

Same issue as many other commenters. Ordered an in-stock item on August 10. After a month with no updates, I reached out via email and they told me that they were having issues with their warehouse and that it would ship first week of October, and refunded the shipping. On October 14 after no word, I reached out again, and they said they would look into it. I followed up AGAIN on 10/22 after no feedback, and they just responded today 10/23 saying that that both items were actually out of stock. They refunded me and sent me a $50 gift card which is nice, but I would literally never shop here again. It's too bad because the products look beautiful, but insane that a business operates this way - and it's clear from other reviewers that this is nothing new. I wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered anything. Would strongly dissuade anyone from ordering from here.
