HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not recommend purchasing or ordering from this company in any capacity. I ordered one small item (trey) listed in stock on September 29th. It’s October 22nd and no movement forward. I emailed their team and they just said 2X they were looking into it with no update over a week+ later. I requested a refund ( curious if that will even happen). Will never purchase from this company again. Recommend you do the same.
Customer service of no use
Customer service of no use
Order confirmation on Oct 11th 2025
Not even going to be shipped until Oct 24th. Ground shipping . Crystal was not willing to help in any way.
Update after receiving
Worst worst and worst!!
Worst worst and worst!!! I place my order two months ago and nothing! Every time I connect with customer service I get the same answers “we are working on your order” don’t spend your money here!
Something very fishy about this company
Like others I placed an order thru the AMEX offer in early Sept. and they immediately charged my card. No indication the SKU was back-ordered. I checked on their site today and it shows my order ‘’may’’ be shipped sometime between late October and mid-November. This behavior seems like a scheme to profit off the float while they sit on people’s money. I plan to share my thoughts with the AMEX benefits folks.
Takes to long to ship
Ordered an item on 9/5/25 because my Amex Platinum offered a discount on a purchase. They said items ship in 10 days, I assumed arrived in 10 days. This seemed odd two weeks /10 business days to ship an in stock item. Not two weeks to deliver but two weeks to process order and create a shipping label. They have no phone number so I emailed When I did not get a shipping confirmation after two weeks and got a stock answer about business days. Today is the 23rd of Sept and still no confirmed deliver date. Will never order from them again as shipping times for items you can find else where makes no sense.
Don't count on actually receiving what you ordered
Much like others who have posted here, I placed a large order that supposedly "usually ships within 10 days"... only to later receive an email telling me that it would ship in TWO MONTHS... only to then be told ALMOST THREE MONTHS AFTER MY ORIGINAL ORDER that they wouldn't be shipping it at all and would refund my money. Gee, thanks for returning the money you held for three months interest free while stringing me along; I was kind of counting on eventually receiving the items I ordered.
Absolutely unacceptable
Absolutely unacceptable. I ordered an item that was clearly listed as shipping in 2 months. When that time passed with no update, I reached out and instead of a clear answer, I was strung along for over a week, only to be told it would likely be another two months. Four months total with zero transparency. This is not how you run a business. If you can’t fulfill an order in a reasonable timeframe, the item should be removed from your site, period. I’ve heard horror stories about this company and unfortunately, now I’m experiencing one myself. Add to that the complete lack of accountability, poor communication, and dismissive customer service—it’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
TERRIBLE AWFUL HORRIBLE ATROCIOUS
Awful all around. Terrible customer service. No resolutions provided only condescending and placating generic responses. They do not use reputable companies to ship their items. My order was shipped via OnTrac (never heard of them) and they could not figure out how to deliver my package even after providing detailed instructions and after speaking to an "agent." Mind you this is a business address with a giant sign on the outside of a building with dedicated staff that regularly receives and ships out packages. They ended up returning my package to Schoolhouse b/c they could not figure out how to deliver it. Literally their job. Have not received any acknowledgement about the situation from Schoolhouse after multiple attempts on Instagram and via their "customer service" email. Will not be ordering from them ever again. Once was enough. Wish I could send them an invoice for shocking levels of incompetence and headache inducing rage. -100000000000000 stars, 1 is too good.
This is the worst company with which to deal.
This is the worst company to deal with. No one responds with an appropriate message and there is NO phone number. Never buy from Schoolhouse. They are absolutely awful to work with and not worth it.
Poor quality products, garbage customer service
As others have noted, steer clear of this company due to their poor quality products and garbage customer service. I ordered a duvet cover on a Black Friday sale (around 30% off). I put the cover on after it arrived and the stitching around the zipper immediately split. I contacted their customer support and (after some back and forth) they offered to send me a replacement. I sent the cover back and waited. Nearly a month later I was informed that Schoolhouse would NOT be replacing the duvet cover and issued a refund. Instead they said they would give me 10% off a future order - significantly less than what I had on my original order and basically the same discount you can get for signing up for their mailing list. When I pushed back on this, I was told there was nothing they could do. Seems like they realize they can’t stand behind their products and won’t put the effort into making things right with their customers. I will not be ordering anything else from Schoolhouse in the future. Hopefully you won’t either
Do not order from this company
Do not order from this company. I canceled an order. They emailed saying the order was cancelled. Then they charged me. Then they said I got the merchandise - which I didn't. They do not give a number for customer service. They only communicate via email by bots. I asked my credit card company to hold the charge. Schoolhouse responded by telling me two times that they could not help me unless I dropped the chargeback. This company is a scam. I hope I save others the aggravation and that this awful company goes out of business.
Shockingly bad customer service
I have been a huge fan of this company for years, purchasing MANY items for my home, and was very excited to place a large order on Black Friday sales. The rug I had my eye on was “on sale” so I purchased it, on sale for $974, down from their “original” price of $1,039. I went to their site a few days ago and saw that the price for the same rug was $699 (regular price, not even sale price). I reached out to them inquiring about a price match, as that is an extreme price change. Honestly I’d be fine if they said they couldn’t do a full price match but could do something for me. But they just said “no” there’s nothing they will do.
Insane! It’s a $300 difference! It’s highway robbery! I guess they just make up prices to suit them - who knows what the price actually should be. Quite alarming - and terrible transparency to the customer. I’ll be returning the item, which means they’ll lose even more money. Too bad for them.
Though the item is stated as “in-stock…
Though the item is stated as “in-stock and ready to ship” the company has yet to process the shipment. They have taken payment for over $1500 in cabinet hardware that was purchased yet nothing has been sent for over a month wait. Customer service keeps giving me the runaround saying they are “looking into the issue” or they “are delayed in their processing”. Something doesn’t seem right with this company.
This is a fake company
This is a fake company. Nothing is in stock. Shipping times are infinite. No customer service. Do not purchase anything from this company.
Terrible customer service -- completely…
Terrible customer service -- completely unhelpful and slow to respond. When you try to follow up, you get no response at all. Their prices are outrageous and not worth it. Notice that there is no way to contact them except through emails -- there's a reason they don't want to to be able to ask them questions!
Poor customer service - never received items
Same issue as others- I ordered an item and they won't provide me with any updates and delivery is a month late. They don't have a phone and I've sent 5 messages. The items I have received are great.... but such poor customer service.
These guys are just criminals
These guys are just criminals. Ordered a chair--they kept my $1800 for 6 months, all the while saying "it's coming, it's coming". Lies. By the time I told them I wanted a refund they said they won't refund me because the chair is in transit. Do I have a chair? No. Taking it up with PayPal--let's hope they actually do right by their customers.
DO NOT BE DECEIVED
DO NOT BE DECEIVED
This company has great marketing, cool collabs, and beautiful home goods, but you’ll never receive the items you ordered and customer service (if you can even get a response) will continue to tell you that they are checking with fulfillment while weeks go by and you still don’t have the items you ordered. In the end you’ll just have to dispute the charges with your credit card company. It’s a huge bummer and not worth the headache and time wasted
Schoolhouse Is A Risk
Everything people say about Schoolhouse is true. Buying from this company is risky, and I wish they had communicated this earlier. Even if an item is in stock, it will take 3-4 weeks to ship. If a furniture item is supposed to ship out in 3 weeks, you won't receive it for at least three months. When it finally gets delivered, it will only be part of the order, and you will not receive an email for over month. I'm going to file a claim with my bank because it's nearly impossible to get through to customer support. By the way, to communicate with this company you have to pester them on social media to get any response. But it works, so keep pestering and they will email you “taking over for my colleagues”. A true joke of a company. Never will buy from them again. SHUT THEM DOWN!!!
I ordered $300+ more than 3 weeks ago…
I ordered $300+ more than 3 weeks ago and I’m still waiting for the entire order, items were supposed to be in stock at the moment that I place the order. I will contact my credit card provider to get my money back.
