Undelivered Sofa since April 2023 (All the horror stories are true). Stay Away.
All the negative reviews on Google are true. I wish I listened to them. I bought my sofa in April (Order number 10639928) and is not yet been delivered. I got the email for collection but the transport company updated me that the sofa has a hole in the bottom. Seriously!!!! A hole in a brand new sofa and what's more funny is that the store manager asked me to take the sofa with defects since it's not a visible part. Mistakes happen right so I gave them time and it's been more than a month with no updates. They marked the sofa as delivered in their systems and are not being responsible, ignoring my calls and fake promises that they will call back. Finally, they raised a service request (6023) to fix it on 12th July 2023 but it's not yet delivered (as of 01 Oct 2023). Stay away from these scammers!!! They never deliver and charge a premium for nothing. Stay away from them.

Paid for a new couch and got a damaged/used one from S&S
Bought a sofa 2,5 weeks ago at this terrible place. Wish I did little research cuz there are complaints everywhere on the net about them. The sears and sofa in Zaandam didn’t live up to their side of the purchase agreement whilst I did. I paif the money the same day, full amount. But they gave us a damaged sofa, seems to be a used one. Deep scratches everywhere and one part is wobbling. No where close to a new sofa we paid for and are entitled to according to the purchase agreement. But after complaint at the store multiple times an online they didn’t came with a good solution. We paid for a bew sofa so switch the damaged old sofa within 2 weeks or terminate the purchase agreement and refund our money including delivery costs. Don’t be scammers and do the right thing for once!

About the sofa
About the sofa, it's nice and looks good. If you want to buy there, be careful about the price and the specifications because all the prices that they show are "from €xyx", so pay attention to the value and the sofa reference. Also, I'd say that it's a good service if they had managed the delivery, but they just give you a phone number on a small piece of paper and you have to arrange everything with the delivery; from my point of view, they also should arrange the delivery.

Extra hassle and cost from missing parts and damage
The couch was delivered (at our own cost €230) lacking two hooks and damaged leather. Contacted the phone number offered by the website, we were told to fill in an online form, The form was sent but they replied with an instruction to bring or deliver a large couch to the branch ( Zaandam) for them to send it to the manufacturer. I mean 😢 we paid extra from to get it delivered to our house. They delivered a faulty one and we need to spend more to get it delivered to the branch? How stupid is that! I urged anyone who goes there not to even talk to them as they would never let you go until you commit to buying, that’s another negative part of this whole hassle. At the moment, we are still waiting for a reply from the branch after forwarding the reply from the service department on how to proceed as we don’t want to spend more money on something that’s totally not a customer’s fault.

One of the most irresponsible sofa companies
Absolutely the worst customer service ever! I'm currently in the 10th week out of 12 (12 is the maximum delivery time), and I still haven't received any response from them about the delivery time.
Despite numerous attempts to call, they won't even pick up the phone. Do you really think they'll respond to an email? Not a chance.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid ordering anything from them. They're undoubtedly one of the most irresponsible sofa companies in the Netherlands / Germany.

Seats and Sofas Zaandam ignores me
I want to share my frustrating experience with Seats and Sofas Zaandam customer service.
After 6 days of purchasing our sofa and footstool, we decided to cancel a footstool purchase. We came to the store and issued a refund.
Sadly, even after a month, I had not received my refund. On July 5, I was informed that the footstool had arrived at the store and I could take it. When I explained the situation, I was offered to refund only 50% of the original price because I allegedly didn't cancel a footstool purchase.
In order to solve the problem I had to talk with the manager and this is when problems really appeared.
Long story short, I called the store 5 days about 2-3 calls and no one picked up the phone or called back. I was in the store two times during workdays and both times "manager was not there". I was promised that my request is written to the special managers to-do list, but on the next day I got a call that the manager is not available again and that is it!
I also was trying to contact the store via email from FB group, but I was ignored again. So now after one more month, I still did not receive my money back and I'm ignored by the store.
While I appreciate the quality of the sofa I purchased, this ongoing issue with the footstool return is tarnishing my overall satisfaction. I feel compelled to share my experience with others to shed light on the customer service at Seats and Sofas Zaandam.

The worst costumer service
The worst costumer service I ever experienced.
I bought my sofa during the pandemic and to start with it took more than a month more than they initially told me. Fair enough it was during pandemic.
After the delivery I asked for a detailed invoice that I needed for tax reasons and I did not get it even after calling various times and even visiting the store.
A few months have passed and some of the modules started having issues. I emailed them and after 4 months I still did not have a reply.
I called the store and the only solution was that I had to pay extra for transport and they would collect it to get it to the shop on a specific day when they have a person there to try to get it fixed.
The day before I called and I was told they had not received my payment. This was over a period of 1 day, 3 calls and with the promise of calling me back which never happened.
1 moth later close to the next service day I called back and finally they had my payment. It was too late for that month but they confirmed it was scheduled for the next month.
And here we are, today, 2 days before the service day, I was already more than 1 hour on the phone, being sent from Zandam to head office, to the logistics company and back to Zandam where I was told they hadn't scheduled because it was no longer under warranty.
At the moment I'm in contact with the consumer rights and I'm considering involving a lawyer.
Final advice, stay away from them as much as you can. If you wonder, the sofa is large and it costed a few thousand euros, not a cheap sofa.

You can see how quick Seats and Sofas where to reply to this post? Well, 9 days later and still no contact to try to resolve the problem.
Update 19 Oct 2024:
After various interactions with a company indicated by Seats and Sofas (hollandmeubelrepair.nl) for the repair, the sofa is still to be repaired.
Last contact I had with the company they said I would be contacted when they have the parts for the repair. That was in June.

Seats and Sofas Zaandam branch is really worse. No words to explain how bad and disorganized they are.
I ordered a couch in January, it got delivered end of May after 4 months of waiting. It broke within 1 week. Now in July, I still don't know what will happen and when will I get my sofa back.
They don't respond to emails, they don't answer calls, the service guy 'Bari' doesn't call back.
It's a big scam company and no responsiveness. They just want to sell and make money without delivering or servicing customers.
Posting it here to see if they ever get back to me at least now.
DON'T BUY FROM HERE.

unprofessional way of dealing the customers
we went to store Zaandam 2 months ago, we tried sofa and we liked it and then when it comes to make a deal , we were not sure at that time as we wanted to confirm the size of the room . so we did not buy it on that day .
next time we went to the store with sizes of room and we asked for the deal for the same sofa which we liked before.
strange thing that they offered a price much higher than before just because we went to the store again and when we asked for the last time price and even better price than that , the guys in the store were quite rude to us and even compared the indian mindest and mention that we will telll all stores that you will not get the sofa .
very unprofessional in talking and treating the customer. If they get a deal at the high price then they talk very politely.

No contact with customer support possible
I bought a sofa on November 16th and was promised to receive it within four to six weeks. Since we have passed the six weeks I have tried to call and email the customer service but they have never answered any of my calls or emails. When I went to the store (Zaandam) to get information I was told that they would call me this month to pick up my sofa. Until this day I have received no word and I have been living without a sofa for nearly ten weeks now.
This company should really improve their customer service because as of now it seems they don't even have one. I am really disappointed in the service. I can understand if something is being delayed but not letting me know anything, not responding and not giving me proper updates is horrible.
