Shein - won't refund for missing/non-delivery of items

I placed a large order. It was delivered across 3 parcels but 9 items were not picked or included in the parcel (costing £105). I've spent 2 hours on their support chat bot that can only seem to cope with the concept of a missing parcel. It's inconceivable to Shein they might partially deliver an order, so are refusing to refund me for the missing items. This is Shein's error but I am ougboc pocket. Very disatisfied with their service. Will not be returning as a customer.

Stopped shopping at Shein as their…

Stopped shopping at Shein as their prices are confusing. Misleading prices while you shopping. It shows one price when adding to basket, then it changes to a higher price before checkout. If Shein offers a discount vouchers, it should be chosen by a customer not applied automaticly.

Shein Poor Customer Service

I have shopped with Shein for years I have always received an excellent service.... until now...... Something must have changed....I placed an order with Shein amongst my order was a dog bed.... I ordered Large but received Small.... also a pair of Sandals which are very poor quality Icontacted them to return the item.... They sent me an email containing a return label.... I contacted their Customer service and explained that I didn't have a Printer and due to my Mobility Issues I was unable to get to a Post Office and asked them to Post a Return Label to my home and arrange a collection..... The return of the bed is free but they are going to charge me for the return of the Sandals.They refused to assist me whilst other Companies have assisted me in the past..... Very poor Customer Care 🙂‍↕️

Take far too long to process refunds and blame your bank.

Actually like some of their items but the problems start with returns. The sizings are that up and down returns are inevitable. Take far too long to refund your money and blame your bank. Funny how it’s taken out of your account instantly but when refunds are actioned takes nearly 2 weeks (well I’m saying 2 weeks it’s not actually gone into my account yet!) I don’t think I will use again for this reason.

EDIT - Shein keep saying they’ve refunded bank says not and going round in circles each telling me to go back to Shein or go back to the bank. Piggy in middle and can’t get through to anyone all online chat. So frustrating each blaming each other and this is why I won’t use again

The ‘solution’ did not work and I’m still waiting passed back from NatWest my bank to you then from you back to NatWest. Awful company to deal with and you can’t get past the ‘BOT to speak to a person.

If you want to buy from this company, satisfaction is not meet

I feel compelled to assign a low rating to express my dissatisfaction with this company's conduct concerning the sale of goods and customer treatment. Although they maintain that prices are elevated, they fail to adhere to their own policies when it suits them. My account was suspended without any valid justification. Despite multiple attempts to contact customer service, I received repetitive, generic responses that did not address my concerns honestly. The responses appeared to be copied and pasted, and the company was unwilling to clarify the issues effectively. I adhered to their policies; however, some problems they caused were not covered within their stated policies. Ultimately, their actions seem aimed at diminishing the overall shopping experience. I am no longer interested in purchasing from this company, especially given the high prices for poor-quality products that fail within a month. Furthermore, if you attempt to return items, they threaten to delete your account. Don’t waste your money buying from this company as no transparency and honesty whatsoever

Missing items

I love SHEIN - have used it for years. I ordered holiday items. The order arrived - I looked at the bag and knew something was up as I had ordered many items and the package didn’t look big enough. On opening I discovered half of my order was missing. Contacted SHEIN, they asked for details of the missing items and then processed to tell me that they were sent and I’m repeatedly told to check the bag the order arrived in. Those missing items aren’t going to magically appear. I can’t afford to pay for items I haven’t received - this is crazy. I’m really upset about this as I love their clothing. A UK company would never treat their customers like this. I’m going to seek advice because this just feels like a scam now I’ve read other people’s experiences.

Fraud

Placed order. They demanded a verification check. Sent proof of money leaving bank account. They rejected the proof then cancelled the order. Then proceeded to take the money from my account for the order. I now have to wait 10 working days for a refund. Absolute joke. Will never use them again.

Trying to return items which were delivered yesterday

Trying to return items which I have done only keeping 4 items and they are charging me £54 ! 1 pair of shorts, 2 packs of hair bands and a tool for make holes in belts! Comes to £23 but I’m paying £54 for those items. I will never use this company again!

Complete bunch of arrogant frauds

Complete bunch of arrogant frauds. Ordered cell phone. On the way somebody opened package and removed it. I got empty bag. After they investigation They declared not their problem. Transport by the way is their responsibility. Luckily lost was 52 pounds.
Avoid this shop all costs. Not trustworthy at all.

Useless customer service

Scam

SCAM – Avoid at all costs!

I was instructed by SHEIN to return 4 separate orders in one combined parcel. I followed their instructions exactly and sent everything back on 18th February. Since then — over 10 weeks later — I have still not received my refund of £350.

Customer service has been absolutely useless. Every time I contact them, I’m told the parcel is “still in transit” and to “wait.” No real updates, no accountability, just the same scripted responses over and over again. To make matters worse, they often end the chat in the middle of my complaint without resolving anything.

It genuinely feels like you’re speaking to automated agents who don’t read or acknowledge what you’re saying. There is zero care for customers, even when large amounts of money are involved.

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed. £350 is not a small amount, and the lack of support or urgency is shocking.

I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering — especially if you ever need to return items.

Absolutely appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service. I ordered a table and 4 chairs, Got a notification on Saturday that it was out for delivery. In the box that I received, there were 2 bits of wood that needed screwed together to make a table. No screws, no table legs and no chairs. Shein told me to return it but when I try to process the return, I am told the package is too heavy for Evri - package delivered by Yodel!!. Now I am being told they will contact the seller and get back to me within 2 days. Totally unacceptable as I now have no table and chairs, instead I am left with 2 pieces of wood. I really expected more from Shein.

Despite their response to this review, Shein have not sent me a response via email. I keep getting a generic email saying they will be in contact within 2 business days. I have had the same email again this morning.

I have opened 20 support tickets

I have opened 20 support tickets, yet this issue remains unresolved. I have provided all the necessary evidence, but you continue to offer excuses.
1. Hygiene & Safety Policy: According to your own policy, opened cosmetic products cannot be returned due to hygiene risks. I have disposed of them because they are hazardous. You are now contradicting your own safety protocols by asking me to return them.
2. Product Mismatch: The items I received do not match my order. They do not meet the specifications I selected.
3. Prior Request: I requested a cancellation and refund while the order was still in transit because these products (Sheglam cosmetics) have previously caused me severe allergic reactions. You ignored this request.
4. Evidence Provided: I have sent photos, SKU codes, and proof of the harm/damage caused. Telling me "the order is in transit" or "return the items" is unacceptable for opened, incorrect cosmetics.
I demand a full refund for the products and compensation for the damages caused. Resolve this immediately without further excuses.

Very poor customer service and dispute…

Very poor customer service and dispute handling.

My order was marked as delivered, however the delivery photo clearly shows the parcel was left at a different building next to mine — not my address. I never received the items.

I provided clear photo evidence of my actual building entrance, which does not match the delivery photo. Despite this, the company repeatedly ignored the evidence and continued to rely only on the tracking status.

This issue has been ongoing for over two months. I fully cooperated, contacted both the seller and the courier, and provided all requested documentation. Instead of resolving the problem, I was sent repetitive automated responses.

This is not acceptable. “Delivered” does not mean correctly delivered.

Based on this experience, I would not trust this company to handle delivery issues or customer complaints fairly.

PURE SCAMMERS- Refund Adjustment Scam

Very dodgy company. DO NOT BOTHER TO ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

You make an order and then when you make a return then they do a refund adjustment where they don't actual refund you the actual amount you paid because you have supposedly used a coupon.

What they don't tell you this that there is no way to stop them from applying coupons on your order. They automatically apply it so that when you choose to return then they keep more of your money. They are pure scammers and it actually seems illegal.

I tried speaking to them on live chat and they couldn't give me an actual answer and closed the live chat from my end.
