Awful service from QCAS for an HSBC…

Awful service from QCAS for an HSBC remortgage. Their communication is terrible, incompetence in everything they delt with comes as standard and they have total apathy about getting your paperwork sorted. A very simple remortgage with plenty of time to complete ran over causing us to pay higher interest rates and they just don’t care. Emails are totally ignored and phone calls are put on hold for 40mins and more each time. I have spent 6 hours on hold to them this week our remortgage has still not gone through. I have made a formal complaint and urge anyone to refuse the use of QCAS. HSBC you need to find another service provider!

We were allocated qcas for free as part of our Barclays remortgage. They were 2 weeks quicker than enact Conveyancing on a similar property but were pretty crap at communicating and needed to be chased continuously. I wouldn't pay my own money for them.

Terrible

Much like other posters below, I was allocated QCAS as part of my re-mortgage package with HSBC. They are utterly useless, my mortgage deal was due to end in 4 months so had plenty of time to get all the paperwork in order, a simple re-mortgage to start on the 1st of the month has now dragged on for two weeks past my current mortgage expiry date and so I am left with 2 weeks worth of interest at the higher rate.

Add to that the request for additional funds to complete which are based on an inaccurate redemption statement (which they know to be incorrect).

E-mails have been ignored by my case worker even though she knows the urgency, wrong redemption statements provided, requesting more funds then are needed (and an extra 50 pounds to the law firm for the trouble).

Please please please avoid, they are not even worth the "free" legals, I would rather pay a decent form who know what they are doing then deal with this mob again.

SHULMANS solicitors and QCAS
Shulmans solicitors they are part of QCAS they are the worst solicitors that i have come across
1) when they did valuation on my house they where about 30-40 K priced it to low. So for this reason please always have a proper research about who is doing valuation and how accurate they are because QCAS big NO
2) and then comes Shulmans solicitors and they are The worst solicitors I have come across. They are to slow on everything and never on time scale

Appalling service

Unfortunately, this has to be the worst experience I have ever had with any law firm I have ever dealt with. After a good start with good communication and regular updates via the online system it all went down hill. Some examples of the bad service I received:

- poor communication
- when I chased progress, I was continually told there was outstanding information, which was completely false. I would then send emails showing I had sent paper work requested weeks ago. This happened with the building insurance and ID verification documents.
- the remortgage took far longer than it should have

Do have a look over my file and you see emails, which are self explanatory, setting out examples of the poor service I was receiving. Despite the raising this issue of poor communication and lack of progress, the problems continued.

Overall, an appalling experience. What should have been a straight forward process became a stressful process due to the poor service I received. I certainly do recommend this law firm. If you value your sanity do not use this firm.

Totally appalling

Totally appalling. I was ‘allocated’ this bunch of legal con artists during a remortgage with HSBC. They only communicate via non repliable email headed ‘DO NOT REPLY’. Continually misspelled my wife’s name despite repeated corrections then charged us unnecessary additional fees without consultation demanding payment 24 hours before completion with a threat to prevent the mortgage going through unless paid immediately. Only available by phone on a premium rate number which they keep you on internal hold for half an hour before answering. Phone staff are arrogant, poorly informed and patronising. Case worker never available. Little more than a greedy bunch of legal thieves. I cannot express how much these people p’d me off. Why does HSBC use these parasites and how can a legal firm as bad as this be allowed to operate in the UK?? An embarrassment to the legal profession

QCAS - Awful

Awful Used the conveyancing arm, QCAS. totally ignored instructions and, despite charging for a TT fee, didn't send for 3 days. Complained and had partial refund of fees. Avoid.

absolutely terrible do not use. can not get in contact with them at all. They don't answer calls or emails. avoid these these solicitors like thrush. they could not be arsed to call to let us know we needed to send some more paperwork, which resulted in us paying £100 more on the mortgage. please take my advice and do not use.
