Failed to collect two out of three…

Failed to collect two out of three parcels. Then they asked me to wait another 2 days for a new collection. Customer service a complete waste of time.........

I see that Shutl has quickly replied to this review. Quicker in-fact than their desire to sort out the difficulties. They told me that because they never picked up the parcels as promised, that the parcels were 'not in their system' and therefore not a late delivery?!?

Do you actually exist? Are you real? or just a bad dream.

If you wanted to build a fantasy team of the most appalling customer service, ineptitude, dishonesty and lack of care. You could do no worse than combine eBay, Hermes and Shutl, guess what? That’s exactly what they have done, awesome, job done.
I blame myself firstly, all three have a reputation second to none for not caring about customers/sellers. Why I ever decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, only my Dr could probably explain (he’s not that good though).
Having sold an item worth £165 on eBay, I purchased the recommended Hermes courier service on the eBay website, via eBays’ partner Shutl. As it was an international purchase the parcel was headed for the eBay Global Shipping depot, which I thought would be no problem they must do lots of this, must be fairly low risk, WRONG.
Having dropped the parcel off, it was collected from the parcel shop and taken to the Hemes depot the next day, great (actually not). Fast forward 3 weeks, and the buyer contacts me to get a refund because the parcel has not arrived. Here begins the tail of incompetence and probably theft.
The buyer kindly gave me a few days to locate the parcel and sort the mess out. So I immediately contacted Hermes, as you would, the tracking shows the parcel arriving at their depot, and that’s it. So the customer service agent says he’s got no idea and promises they will search for the parcel at the depot and reply within 48hrs. 48hrs comes and goes (no surprise), so I chase Hermes who tell me they’ve delivered it’s lost and (basically) get lost it’s not our problem you bought through Shutl/eBay. to the eBay Global Shipping Centre.
So I contact eBay, who guess what, tell me they’ve got it as arriving in their warehouse, and promise to sort it, and will be in contact. Two days later an I get an email (in German, I’m English but with access to google translate) saying actually we’ve not got it. So I contact them again, this time they’re definite they haven’t got it.
So back to Hermes who first of all, couldn’t care less of course. This time, the answer is it was never delivered, it’s still somewhere in Swindon. But of course they don’t care, it’s not their problem. I mean it’s not like they were responsible for losing or stealing it or anything. Go speak to eBay.
eBay don’t want anything to do with it, speak to Shutl. Well as for Shutl, who knows? Best of luck trying to contact them…..
The moral of the story, avoid eBay, avoid Shutl and at all cost avoid Hermes, because they’re not responsible for losing parcels they are trusted with! Customer service from all three is appalling or non-existent and highly variable according to whoever is on the other end of the phone/live chat.

BAD EXPERIENCE

As an EBAY seller I wanted to send a parcel to my buyer using EBAY SHUTL on 27 July 2019 but I experienced very bad service. I paid the charges to HERMES on line and I was suggested to go to the nearest shops. First I went to CHELSEA FOODFAYERE 237 King's Rd. Chelsea SW3. To my surprise they asked me for a label although it was clearly indicated that labels were free and should be printed in the shop. When I mentioned it to them they said that the labels were free still they didn't print the labels. Disappointed I tried the second recommended shop near me - CO-OP at 471-487 King's Rd Chelsea SW10. They also didn't print the label and what's more they deliver only soft bag parcels and my was unfortunately in small carboard box. As I didn't know any other similar shops locally I went back home to find on Internet where they were. I written down several of them just in case but all of them were in other boroughs not where I live. At the and I was lucky with LORDS FOOD & WINE 209 Brompton Rd but even there they asked me first for the label and after my explanation and presentation of the code on my phone they agreed to print it and take the parcel.

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish! takes nearly a month to claim compensation.

This is possibly why eBay have changed to another intermediate.

Gutted

Gutted.

I sold an item through eBay recently and it arrived at the customer's smashed. It was made of a substance that you could call plastic, or you could call it resin. It was made in the 1950s and of course is no longer manufactured. Because I used the word 'resin' when describing it, they have refused to refund me, even though I paid them extra to cover the insurance. Look at the list of exclusions on their site. What CAN you send with them that will be covered?

I'm totally gutted.

Really one of the worst companies I…

Really one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

This is the third time I am having a problem with my invoice from them. I send stuff through them for ebay sales and so far they have gotten my invoice wrong 3 times.

That is probably 3 out of the 4 times I have actually checked my invoice. Who knows what was happening before I starting checking to see if I was actually being the charged the correct amount.

And I find it interesting that they also overcharge me and never undercharge.

I have not stopped used ebay and will never use shutl again. I have started going straight through Hermes instead for postage who I have never had issue with.

AWFUL SERVICE. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

Waited a whole day for them to collect my parcel yesterday for delivery and nothing. i contacted them and the only help was to rebook or go drop off. so basically i have to wait another whole day for pickup or take my heavy package to a drop off point. VERY AWFUL SERVICE. AVOID AVOID AVOID!! I'm using another service as i dont trust them!

Very poor service today at the Coop in…

Very poor service today at the Coop in Chobham, Surrey. After waiting to park for 10 minutes only to realise that the cars parked in the Coop car park we’re not shopping but collecting children from School. They were not able to take my parcel as they had run out of receipts. Very poor show.

Absolutely awful service

Absolutely awful service.

I waited in for Hermes to collect but they never did.

I then waited in for UK Mail to collect the same parcel and even received a text message to say when they'd arrive - they never did.

So I then changed the option from collection to dropping off at my local Post Office. The Post Office doesn't recognise the bar code.

Eventually paid the Post Office to deliver it.

Multiple issues ordering postage through eBay meaning increased costs as I have to use another service or delays because parcels aren't collected.

AVOID, AVOID AVOID!

NEVER

NEVER , NEVER . i send stuff all round the world mainly records .
i never never use ebay posting service why would i , yet i keep getting invoices ( if you can call them that not legible to me as an invoice just date and fee JOKE i doubt submittable in British court.
like me you will meet with robot arrogance walled out chat , if you need detail about your bills .. why have i got bills ? i dont know still
phone ebay , they say shuti are serperate , yet there owned by FLEABAY ,, oldest trick in the book from the greed breed scum.
no honesty , no help leaches ! im disputting invoices they say you cant get billed unless your parcel ticket is printed and scanned ,, does that make sense to anyone , if i buy a royal mail parcel ticket in my royal mail account how come im getting invoice from shutl
there members profile page with so called history of your invoices DOES NOT DISPLAY ALL INVOICES check this with EBAY on the phone . so whats that about shutl look im still spending hours trying to disput this just do yourself a favour .us royal mail its not expensive why use a middle man . you will regret it i was also shocked to find out hermes also own or buddy up with shuti but in my hermes account things are genrally clearer to manage , and individuale driver delery mistakes do happen , but not often i have a claim in now , if they try and avoid compensagtion cover i will repost here and thats the last they will see of my pond notes

First time I used this company as I was…

First time I used this company as I was 'forced' into having to do via Ebay as they appear to have removed the sending option of using your own courier. When listing the item on Ebay I had to change the postage details 3 times before it would show what I wanted and when I came to post it reverted to the wrong rate (insufficient for the weight). I admit I didn't notice it myself until I had dropped off the package and returned home (I was sending 4 other items at the same time). Realising my mistake I tried to contact Shutl to resolve this and pay the extra postage (which should be an easy task) I logged on at 8am (Shutl customer service is supposed to be online 8am to 8pm) but they were offline until 8.16am. Far from letting me simply pay the extra, I was left with the option of going back and retrieving the parcel (if it had not already been collected) or standing the extra cost plus Shutl's admin fee! Awful customer service and even worse not being able to speak to anyone. I will not be selling via Ebay or Shutl in future.

As you are not charged instantly for our labels, we can not charge customers more for the labels until the invoice is sent to for the label. If the parcel is measured or weighed over by the couriers a fee will be added to your next invoice.

Sorry for the one star but until you allow us to update parcel information and cancel collections then you're just wasting both our times and money.

Gave your company benefit of the doubt, despite slow customer service, and you guys gave me the honour of not coming to collect my parcel at all! Despite the 12 hour Collection period! Thanks! Royal Mail direct it is from now on.

If a label has not been used then you will not be charged for it and you can dispose of it, we can then cancel the collection for you with the courier. Currently you're unable to update addresses as the addresses are pulled from the eBay accounts they should be correct, therefore there should be no need to change them.

They actively employ thieves to…

They actively employ thieves to "deliver" parcels.

Your parcel will not arrive at its destination and will just stop showing tracking events.

It appears to be an organised crime outfit, with a large team sifting through ebay sales data to find the expensive sales in parcels - which will then just go missing and deemed lost.

Don't expect any joy out of compensation claims, obviously

Crap service can't update parcel

Crap service can't update parcel. I'm using a lot shutl (eBay) and thay using hermes to delivery my parcels. I sent this parcel last week 0667982771501186 and was on delivery customer depot from Monday. On Tuesday I found out customer had wrong postcode I spoken with shutl they can't help or even change delivery addresse becouse parcel is in transit so I agree. Me and buyer changed delivery preference and picked up address from the list where parcels should be delivery he spoke with people living there and asked to accept the parcels. Today Thursday parcel was with the courier and after that was update tracking deley wait 48 h no reason etc when I try again use change deliver preferencje I get message we can can't delivery parcel. Customer can do nothing no change delivery address or preferences just pay. Stay away

Not good

Should be no stars !Ebay introduced this postal service . It was easy to use but you can't pay when you print off the labels. I thought I had paid for all mine last month but I have just received a bill for £55 ! I can't see a list of who the parcels were sent to . No phone number only online chat , which you need to spend a day waiting for someone to answer , I gave up after being number 12 for 15 minutes. Perhaps it's my fault for not keeping track of how many labels I was using. I'm glad Ebay are removing them to one you can pay for straight away

I do apologise you feel this way. I can confirm that you are not charged instantly for our labels, you are charged a month later via an invoice for all labels used.

Invoices are sent out around the 12th of the month and then the funds are taken 15 days later from the PayPal account set up from your billing agreement. When you open your invoices you can see the tracking number, the date the label was created, the date the parcel was sent and the postcode the parcel was sent to.

Disgusting RIP OFF SCAM

Disgusting I paid for the delivery of 2EBay sales via PayPal before they were collected by the courier.SHUTL IS AN EBAY COMPANY THEY SENT AN INVOICE FOR BOTH DELIVERIES A MONTH LATER DESPITE MY EMAILS CONFIRMING THAT I HAVE PAID THE CHARGES AT THE TIME OF DESPATCHING MY SALES.NO RESPONSE FROM SHUTL OR EBAY. I AM NOT PAYING TWICE FOR WHAT IS AT BEST A MEDIOCRE SERVICE. AVOID THIS SERVICE THEY ARE TRYING TO FLEECE PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY BY SENDING OUT UNWARRANTED BILLS AND INVOICES. Is there not a 0 star rating?? shutl is the most useless company... is it part of ebay not sure... charged 4 times when i checked paypal account lucky i noticed. Id check your bills this company tries to scam you. when you email they dont respond, online chat never responds. any issues they bounce between ebay, paypal and shutl even though they are the same company. its just a tacktick to fob us off hoping we will give up... well we wont!!!

Apparently now plastic is also not covered under compensation!

Sold a plastic rear view reflector (to extend your car mirror view) via ebay. Despite it being a large package and very well padded the hermes courier shoved it through a letterbox, thus snapping it. Shutl refuse to compensate as they say it is a mirror and excluded under their fragile/breakables policy. This is a piece of plastic! When contacted they are rude and are unable to grasp the simple fact that this is not a glass mirror. As it has mirror in the title (rear view mirror extender), they say it is a mirror! They therefore need to state that they basically don't compensate for anything plastic, if this is the case. Their reviews are shocking and no wonder why!

Update: see reply from shutl below. What they say here they are not following up with when not on a public platform. Emails to them have them insisting this is not covered under their policy.
